I missed the entire morning trading session due to some last minute appointments that had to be taken care of (personal stuff).

I'll keep it brief and just state that if you read my comments below in the chat log...you'll know when the next trend day will occur and most likely be a key market trading day that dictates the price action until at least mid November.

Last of all, I consider today as a key market trading day.

As traders we must treat our trading like a business if we are to succeed as traders and as a business. Therefore, waiting till the last few weeks March to prepare for April's taxes is not good for your trading and could put extra stress on your trading during tax month or the months that follow if your one of those traders that filed an extension.. Mentally getting away from trading is much harder to do in comparison to physically getting away from trading when its time for some rest and relaxation. Personally, one of my favorite ways to mentally rest is to watch movies I've copy & recorded from the local video store via my Slysoft software that copies any copyright protected dvd's and cd's.

<NihabaAshi> pat12...I usually start off with a very small size and then once I get a feel for it...I'll start increasing my position size for each trade. 15:03

Only reason why I didn't do a large Long position on my last trade (did 1 contract only) was because I had exceeded my profit target for the day and went into profit protection mode. 15:04

I can do the same "volatility analysis" with Time & Sales and no charts. 15:11

<NihabaAshi> It's how I first learned to interpret volatilty many years ago via Time & Sales prints although I rarely use T&S. 15:12

<NihabaAshi> I just watch to flow of prices (there speed) and try to visualize a volatility scale with input via the size of the bodies (difference between Open and Close for each interval) on the candlestick charts 15:13

I could use 2min, 3min and 5min charts for volatility.

Mainly just 3min charts on normal trading and 5min charts on FOMC announcement days near 2:15pm est. 15:14
