##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for
you to use the free chat room as a
trade journal of
your trades via you posting WRB Analysis of the price action you see on
your monitors, posting price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or posting your real-time trades (simulator or real money) in a timestamp environment after you've received confirmation from your broker trade execution platform. Simply, the
free chat room is a
trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements and you decide to
not discuss WRB Analysis
nor post any real-time information about how you're viewing the markets
nor post real-time trades...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of
failing at trading.
The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about
their use of
WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) merged with their trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if they're a
position trader, swing trader, day trader, trend trader or range trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time
price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to
help develop a better understanding of the price action
(market context) they're trading.
With that said, thanks for
reviewing (reading) the below timestamped trades, price action analysis or market commentaries and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding
price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum

all
[09:34:25] <werner1> Shorts Emini NQ @ 6404.00
[09:35:05] <werner1> Shorts Emini NQ @ 6504.00
[09:35:23] <werner1> Covered all Emini NQ Short @ 6497.50 --> + 6.5
[09:37:03] <wrbtrader> Good morning all
[09:55:38] <werner1> dont like the charts
[10:09:11] <wrbtrader> Overall volatility index (the VIX) still around 22
[10:09:30] <werner1> yep
[10:09:54] <wrbtrader> Yet, not much volatility in the Emini futures based upon fewer WRB Hidden GAP intervals today in comparison to the prior 5 trading days
[10:11:37] <werner1> i try to not overtrade me in this crap
[10:12:57] <wrbtrader> volatility surge now
[10:27:35] <werner1> Shorts Emini NQ @ 6488.50
[10:28:19] <werner1> Covered all Emini NQ Short @ 6491.00 --> - 2.5
[10:34:18] <wrbtrader> 15min charts clearly show the tight trading range in the Emini futures
[10:34:52] <wrbtrader> very contracted in contradiction to the VIX > 20
[10:34:52] <werner1> indd
[10:35:25] <wrbtrader> reason why not to use the VIX all by itself as the factor for determining volatility
[10:47:55] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures climbing up the range of a Long Upper Shadow interval
[11:15:42] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures has retraced back to the S area of the most recent Up WRB Hidden GAP interval
[13:21:41] <ksch> Hi wrbtrader, may I ask a question about WRBHGs
(only if you have a chance to answer and not in the middle of something)
[13:23:36] <ksch> My question was how do you treat two WRBHGs in a row (i.e. one WRB and another that's bigger right after it, and both form WRBHGs), does it count as one entire WRBHG?
[13:36:20] <wrbtrader> Hi ksch...welcome back
[13:36:48] <ksch> Hi , it's good to be back:)
[13:36:55] <wrbtrader> I treat consecutive WRBHG intervls as independent (not combined as in one)
[13:37:22] <wrbtrader> The same for consecutive WRB Zones (intervals causing the Zone)
[13:38:07] <ksch> i see, so you would have three or four s/r levels among those (highest, two in the middle next to each other, and one at the bottom)?
[13:39:10] <ksch> middle ones likely close to each other, i mean in most cases when this happens?
[13:41:36] <wrbtrader> Its rare to have that many consecutive WRB Zones but if such does happen...each WRB Zone are treated independently...not combined with the next one
[13:44:53] <ksch> Perfect. If this happens and say dcm direction is down and you get two WRBHGs in a row upward, those two wrbhgs would satisfy the requirement for dcm trend change, (if it had the low volatility consolidation bars after it, i mean)? For DCM there's no requirement to have bars separating the two wrbhgs for direction change?
[13:54:56] <wrbtrader> Correct...no requirement to have an interval between the two WRBHG intervals
[13:56:25] <ksch> Excellent, thanks so so much. I had been wondering about this for a little while.
[13:56:45] <wrbtrader> Ok..glad to help
[13:57:00] <ksch>
[13:59:28] <wrbtrader> By the way, I'm not trading today...trying to get some personal things done before Good Friday tomrrow. No school tomorrow for the kids but have some...big day for here in the Catholic community and catholic school
[14:00:05] <werner1> okido
[14:00:35] <werner1> normal matkets tomorrow?
[14:00:58] <wrbtrader> I never did like it growing but its now more fun with my own kids
[14:00:58] <ksch> doesn't seem like a great day to be trading anyways, tomorrows good friday
[14:01:40] <wrbtrader> Not sure about the markets...I use to keep market statisitics on the market reaction the day before Good Friday and the trading day afterwards.
[14:01:53] <wrbtrader> I'll check my journal notes tonight about it
[14:02:40] <wrbtrader> Hopefully the stats reveal nothing
[14:09:35] <ksch> Always interesting after market holidays, usually some nice moves, especially after a lot of sideways the last day or two
[14:20:07] <wrbtrader> Agree
[15:01:32] <wrbtrader> be right back...had to reinstall my iCloud

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is
free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving
WRB Analysis in which any trader
(position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a
price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn
WRB Analysis.
Therefore, we welcome
all traders that want to learn about
WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in
price action trading.
The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a
trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.
Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room and we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading and its a flawed substitution for mentoring in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.
Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.
In addition, our primary job in the
free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a
spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
