##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for
you to use the free chat room as a
trade journal of
your trades via you posting WRB Analysis of the price action you see on
your monitors, posting price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or posting your real-time trades (simulator or real money) in a timestamp environment after you've received confirmation from your broker trade execution platform. Simply, the
free chat room is a
trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements and you decide to
not discuss WRB Analysis
nor post any real-time information about how you're viewing the markets
nor post real-time trades...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of
failing at trading...especially if you login to the free chat room and then just lurk (not say anything about your trading).
The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about
their use of
WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zones, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone, midpoint of WRB Zone and speed of the price action) merged with their trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if they're a
position trader, swing trader, day trader, trend trader or range trader.
Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time
price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to
help develop a better understanding of the price action
(market context) they're trading.
This is
not a signal calling (trade alerts) room. Our free
chat room has
never been advertised as a trade alerts room and we ban traders for attempting to use our
chat room as a trade alerts room for the purpose to mimic/copy/piggyback trades posted by any of our members.
With that said, thanks for
reviewing (reading) the below timestamped trades, price action analysis or market commentaries and we highly recommend you make reading of the chat logs (we use it to provide critical missing info for our broker statements) a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding
price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum

[09:48:10] <wrbtrader> Good morning...VIX > 18
[10:00:02] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2783.00 -> small size
[10:00:06] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[10:14:44] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2785.00 --> + 2
[10:14:56] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:15:20] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2786.00 -> small size
[10:15:32] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts re-entry
[10:15:38] <wrbtrader> increasing volatility
[10:15:54] <wrbtrader> chasing the volatility
[10:16:35] <wrbtrader> nearing the R area of a WRB Zone (unfilled)
[10:19:01] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2790.00 --> + 4
[10:19:36] <wrbtrader> WRB Zone filled...WRB pt1 reached above the R area of the filled WRB Zone
[10:26:47] <wrbtrader> VIX has now dropped back below < 18
[11:08:25] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2786.50 -> small size
[11:08:35] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[11:09:58] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2787.00 --> + 0.5
[11:10:20] <wrbtrader> tough trade
[11:11:10] <wrbtrader> volatility starting increasing upon the entry and then it quickly dried up...now pushing back southward
[11:14:19] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2782.00 -> small size
[11:14:29] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[11:15:18] <wrbtrader> Emini ES just fell below the S areas of its most recent Down WRB Hidden GAP interval...
[11:16:09] <wrbtrader> Will be a tough trade because its now nearing a more important S area via the most recent reaction low
[11:17:35] <wrbtrader> Hopefully a volatility spike will show up to push this lower while I'm Short before it attempts to retrace back upwards
[11:18:13] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2781.75 --> + 0.25
[11:18:19] <wrbtrader>
[11:18:30] <wrbtrader> trail stop pick pocketed
[11:19:29] <Trendtrader>
all
* Retrieving ##TheStrategyLab modes...
[11:19:42] <Trendtrader> long nq 7225
[11:20:46] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2781.00 -> small size
[11:20:58] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[11:21:38] <wrbtrader> retesting another S area now
[11:24:17] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[11:24:29] <wrbtrader> Covered Emini ES Short @ 2777.00 --> + 4
[11:25:01] <Trendtrader> exit long nq 7211.25 -13.75
[11:25:09] <wrbtrader> Lucky trade of the day because I faded a valid Long signal
[11:26:34] <wrbtrader> Will now document why I faded that Long signal
[11:26:47] <wrbtrader> document it in ny private trade journal
[11:26:55] <wrbtrader> ny = my
[12:23:55] <wrbtrader> I just finish my documentation with screenshots of the trades in today's trade journal.
[12:24:38] <Trendtrader> me too.
[12:24:59] <wrbtrader> The reason why I ignored my Long signal and then Shorted it (a fade) was because of the price action in Emini YM futures...as in intermarket analysis
[12:26:07] <Trendtrader> Although I sometimes find I miss out on trades when I'm busy taking screenshots and writing analysis and comments in my log.
[12:26:53] <wrbtrader> YM was slowly moving down the range of a long shadow interval while all the other Eminis were contracting and having problems getting back above the S area of the S area of the most recent Down WRB Hidden GAP interval
[12:27:35] <wrbtrader> The same Down WRB Hidden GAP interval I commented about in a prior trade to that fade
[12:28:02] <wrbtrader> Simply, I must have subconsiously been monitoring that Down WRB Hidden Gap interval
[12:28:24] <wrbtrader> and when Emini ES started struggling at the S area when it was a valid Long signal...
[12:28:28] <wrbtrader> I faded it
[12:29:07] <wrbtrader> I lower my position size down to 1 contract because it was a fade (Short) of a valid Long signal
[12:30:38] <wrbtrader> Trendtrader...there's two ways I do my documentation via screenshots...
[12:31:07] <wrbtrader> I use a video recorder to record the entire trading session
[12:31:55] <wrbtrader> I then go back to the time of the trades in the recording and then take a screenshot
[12:32:04] <wrbtrader> Or...
[12:33:10] <wrbtrader> I use the macros I've set on the snagit and its just one click on the macro key and it auto makes the screen shot and then auto sends it to a folder I've designated for storage
[12:33:53] <wrbtrader> I will then got to that folder to redact (blacken out) any private info in those screenshots
[12:36:01] <wrbtrader> I tested auto screenshots like do a screenshot every 5 minutes but it eats up too much of my memory resources
[12:36:27] <wrbtrader> I have 32 gig memory on each laptop
[12:36:39] <Trendtrader> Do you record each session even now? That is very cpu and memory intensive.
[12:37:34] <Trendtrader> I've done that in the past, but haven't in a long time.
[12:37:54] <wrbtrader> When it was auto screenshoting...it would still be making screenshots right now
[12:38:14] <wrbtrader> Too hard on my laptops...I stopped doing that back in early 2016
[12:38:30] <Trendtrader> I do like your method of using snagit and using a single key to take a snapshot and then autosave.
[12:39:00] <wrbtrader> I now just manually do it after each trade via the macro in Snagit
[12:39:53] <Trendtrader> I've been doing that manually - dragging across the window and then saving. Your way is better. I don't think I've used Snagit.
[12:40:49] <wrbtrader> Yeah...snagit is great but it can cause some problems if you're not careful...
[12:41:37] <wrbtrader> For example, I was experimenting once with my ftp (auto uploads to my website private thread)...
[12:42:04] <wrbtrader> I didn't realize about 3 months later and after several hundred screenshots...
[12:42:38] <wrbtrader> It was working...the sreenshots were NOT redact...all of my account info was being shown
[12:43:14] <wrbtrader> I manage after a few hours to locate/delete every one of those screenshots
[12:43:35] <wrbtrader> and then redacted the few I wanted for reposting
[12:44:24] <wrbtrader> That sucked big time...a few months with all my info exposed for anyone to view
[12:44:30] <Trendtrader> dangerous
[12:44:57] <wrbtrader> exactly
[12:45:35] <wrbtrader> I don't mess around wih the auto FTP anymore
[12:46:10] <Trendtrader> Isn't there a way to hide your personal information? I know some platforms have an option where you can hide the account number.
[12:46:42] <wrbtrader> No...some brokers like mine makes it worst...
[12:47:23] <Trendtrader> Yeah, I could see an auto save to a personal folder first where you can do a final review and modifications where required before sending out to the world.
[12:47:26] <wrbtrader> They put your account number on every darn window in the platform instead of on the main window
[12:48:05] <Trendtrader> That seems a bit excessive! You really don't need it everywhere.
[12:48:36] <wrbtrader> Exactly...completely agree
[12:49:21] <wrbtrader> I've gotten it to only show on in just 6 windows instead of 25 windows
[12:49:40] <wrbtrader> Easier now to redact than it was in the past
[12:51:02] <wrbtrader> I asked the technical department and they said its a reminder when you're in real trading mode and not simulator mode
[12:51:10] <Trendtrader> yes, you can highlight in black fairly easily.
[12:52:37] <wrbtrader> Other brokers you can't even get into your account details from within the trading platform. Instead, you would need to use your browser to log into your account profile
[12:52:46] <wrbtrader> I like that
[12:53:32] <wrbtrader> Anyways...
[12:53:35] <Trendtrader> That seems like a poor method of reasoning. Instead of that why don't they just change part of the window to a different color? So if you are in live mode with real money change part of the interface to a unique color?
[12:53:38] <wrbtrader> I will call it quits here for the day...take care and see you tomorrow
[12:54:17] <Trendtrader> o.k. sounds good. see you tomorrow. have a good/safe evening.

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is
free and is a serious professional trading
chat room involving
WRB Analysis in which any trader
(position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a
price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn
WRB Analysis.
Therefore, we welcome
all traders that want to learn about
WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in
price action trading.
The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a
trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.
Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room with a head trader telling you what to trade, when to buy or when to sell. In fact, we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading and its a flawed substitution for mentoring in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.
Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.
In addition, our primary job in the
free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a
spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
