@ https://www.cmegroup.com/cme-group-futures-exchange/micro-futures.html Here's a tweet on twitter about the new Micro E-mini futures right before its launch on
May 5th Sunday evening @ 6pm est
@ https://twitter.com/CNBCFuturesNow/status/1124002811795202053Micro E-mini futures fit seamlessly within our current product suite and give all traders a simple way to access the equity index futures markets. At 1/10th the size of a classic E-mini contract, Micro E-minis require less cash to enter the market with lower margins. The above quote from the CME Group website is another way of saying its a trading product for
small account traders (retail traders) that want to trade the Index Futures via 1/10th of the size of the main products. Yet, we think it will also become popular for well capitalized traders to
test new trade strategies in real money trading on this cheaper product
prior to trading the Emini ES, Emini NQ, Emini YM and Emini RTY futures. In addition, it'll most likely be used as a hedge against the main Emini producets (e.g. 10 Micro E-mini MNQ hedged against 1 Emini NQ) and I wouldn't be surprise if it becomes new Micro E-mini becomes popular with Options traders.
With that said, on
May 9th Thursday 2019 we have our first
Volatility Trading Report (VTR) fee base client that exclusively trades the new Micro E-mini futures...MES and MNQ although his verification DOKs of the WRB Analysis Free Study Guide are via the Emini ES and Emini RTY and Crude Oil BZ futures.
