#TheStrategyLab (formerly known as #FuturesTrades) is
free along with being a serious professional trading chat room involving
WRB Analysis and any trader (
position trader, swing trader and day trader) can use the chat room to post their real-time trades, real-time price action analysis or market commentaries involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades, price action analysis or market commentaries in comparison to other free chat rooms.
#TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be
only a
trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day and this gives them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners and experience) that are merging
WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using
WRB Analysis to develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.
Also, if you want #TheStrategyLab chat room to be
educational for you...
please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).
Quote:

[16:00:45] <+ajax> well, that is a start...
))
[16:01:04] <@wrbtrader> My plan is to trade different trading instruments this month...
[16:01:17] <@wrbtrader> Trade whatever it takes to stay profitable
[16:01:46] <+T4n_paper> i'll try nq in december
[16:02:04] <+T4n_paper> taking a vacation in november so not much to trade there
[16:03:32] <@wrbtrader> Crazy close...this thing was corked up and it exploded.
[16:03:41] <+ajax> y
[16:03:56] <@wrbtrader> Oddly...its been like this the past several trading days going into the regular session close and it did NOTHING.
[16:04:36] <@wrbtrader> The question now...why did it "volatility spike" into the close for today whereas it did NOTHING the past several trading days into the close.
[16:06:14] <+ajax> maybe the FOMC on Th?
[16:06:18] <@wrbtrader> If we can get some more consistentcy in the volatility in the last 30 minutes of the regular trading session...
[16:06:29] <@wrbtrader> It will be obvious like a NEON light...
[16:06:43] <@wrbtrader> ONLY trade the last 30 minutes of the trading day.
[16:07:03] <@wrbtrader> I remember those days before 2008
[16:07:25] <@wrbtrader> Many trading days I would take most of the day off and show up only to trade the last 30 minutes.
[16:07:36] <@wrbtrader> Would make 2k - 3k on average
[16:08:29] <@wrbtrader> Back then the markets had well defined trading durations.
[16:08:35] <+ajax> times of Obuma changes....
)
[16:08:53] <@wrbtrader> Nowadays...the volatility shows up whenever it wants too
[16:09:52] <+ajax> that implies 'manipulation', where not in past....
[16:10:22] <@wrbtrader> Manipulation can be exploited by us but we need to know exactly how and when
[16:15:06] <+ajax> yes.....why I use the ES to lead NQ.....& know those trading times, as per an ex-ES pit trader shared with me years ago
[16:16:44] <@wrbtrader> Now that I've returned to trading multiple different trading instruments in the same day...
[16:17:03] <@wrbtrader> I'm going to make a trading plan for the hours of each.
[16:17:13] <+ajax> wish I cud....not that talented yet...
)
[16:17:28] <@wrbtrader> Will obviously keep Emini TF for the last 30 minutes of the trading day.
[16:17:43] <+ajax> gotta run...patients comin....cya tomorrow....
)
[16:17:50] <@wrbtrader> take care
[16:19:14] <@wrbtrader> Will keep EuroFX 6E futures for trading between 0500am - 12noon est ONLY
[16:21:34] <@wrbtrader> May take a mid-day time out from trading between 12noon - 1530pm est unless there's a schedule key market event during that time period
[16:22:05] <@wrbtrader> That will be my initial trading plan and will monitor it closely for a few months
[16:24:09] <@wrbtrader> Light Crude Oil CL (WTI) futures will be trade during the same duration of EuroFX 6E futures whenever it has trade opportunities.
[16:24:51] <@wrbtrader> Looks like the market conditions has evolved back to the way things were before 2008 whenever low volatility became LOW and PROBLEMATIC
[16:25:23] <@wrbtrader> Simply, trade different markets during different times of the day.
[16:25:35] <@wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or
price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the
private chat rooms called
#VolatilityTradingTSL or
#SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #TheStrategyLab.
Reminder, our
Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act
professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.
