#FuturesTrades is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room and any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades or market commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies in comparison to other free chat rooms.

#FuturesTrades is designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

In addition, we welcome all traders with their own methods or different perspective of the markets to help keep the chat room diversified...posting trades or market commentaries. Also, if you're looking for real-time education in the chat room involving price action only trading (profitably trading without indicators)...you need to contact us to schedule price action only trading real-time discussions. We'll then have one on one (private) real-time price action only trading discussions with you while you're using #FuturesTrades real-time chat room to prevent distractions in the chat room with other members that are using different trading methods in comparison to us. However, you must first download and learn our free study guide at a different forum @ TSL Support Forum * http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

With that said, thanks for reading the trades or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful trade information not discussed anywhere else online nor in any books if you're not interested in scheduling one on one (private) real-time price action only trading education discussions. To gain access to #FuturesTrades chat room...please follow the instructions @ FTCHAT Support Forum * http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

[10:27:15] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF has been doing that most all trading day for 2010...making it tougher to trade.
[10:28:16] <+pat255> y tf they are raising fees ..always try to suck people on fees
[10:28:48] <@wrbtrader> Hopefully the other exchanges won't soon follow by increasing fees too.
[10:29:14] <@wrbtrader> They dropped membership fees so low...still having problems selling those seats.
[10:29:15] <+pat255> y hope not ..but they know we cant do anything
[10:29:16] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies
[10:29:29] <+Sidhartha> as I said before, the CME are going in the opposite direction... offering exchange fee waivers to traders trading through qualifying brokers...
[10:29:39] <@wrbtrader> They may be just trying to now make up for such via going after the retail folks.
[10:31:25] <@wrbtrader> I think we are moving in the direction of eliminating small account traders via "high overhead costs".
[10:32:10] <+Sidhartha> that's good news!!
[10:33:44] <@wrbtrader> Politicians will be happier...some of them don't like day traders
[10:39:02] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES having a lot of problems in the 1229.75 - 1228.50 range
[10:39:14] <@wrbtrader> looking for a breakout of such

[10:45:58] <@wrbtrader> stalling :(
[10:46:39] <@wrbtrader> Oil and Gold stalling now
[10:47:52] <@wrbtrader> Exited all ES Long @ 1229.50 --> + 0.5
[10:48:47] <soupy> reason for exit there , if you don't me asking?
[10:55:02] <+pat255> soupy looks like it was intutuiontrade & he wants to keep some profit ..this chop heer no move makes sense
[10:59:26] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...I tighten that stop/loss and then tighten it again to a profitable trailing stop after it stalled 2 ticks above that key price area I mentioned earlier
[10:59:41] <@wrbtrader> [10:39:02] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES having a lot of problems in the 1229.75 - 1228.50 range
[11:00:22] <@wrbtrader> Had volatility showed up on the brief move above 1229.75
[11:00:28] <@wrbtrader> I would have stayed Long
[11:00:46] <@wrbtrader> It didn't show up and I was "easily" spooked out of the trade
[11:01:44] <@wrbtrader> Also, there's a profit issue...
[11:02:12] <@wrbtrader> Was at a loss prior to the trade...didn't want it to retrace too much...needed to get rid of some of the loss
[11:03:04] <@wrbtrader> Simply, had I been up big for the day...I'm sure I would have had the courage to stay in the trade and try to survive any sideways price action
[11:03:18] <+pat255> later guys back top a meeting
[11:03:20] <+pat255> ty all
[11:04:25] <@wrbtrader> Just not good enough or bad enough news events this week to get some good volatility into the market.

[11:06:03] <@wrbtrader> not 4...but 3 contracts

[11:13:22] <@wrbtrader> now losing my patience
[11:15:52] <@wrbtrader> Exited 1/2 ES Long @ 1230.25 --> - 0.25
[11:16:11] <@wrbtrader> Exited Remainder ES Long @ 1230.00 --> - 1
[11:16:25] <+soupy> fwiw i have a long target @ 1232 area. but hey you never know :)
[11:17:46] <@wrbtrader> If volatility shows up and tries again...I'll go Long again
[11:18:33] <@wrbtrader> volatility increasing
[11:20:33] <@wrbtrader> stuck in a 2 tick range right now
[11:20:48] <@wrbtrader> only good thing about that is that it usually leads into a volatility breakout
[11:32:07] <@wrbtrader> Starting to look like it's time to read a book or go do some laundry :)
[11:34:52] <dobie> read the boook while doint laundry

[12:00:59] <@wrbtrader> resistance area
[12:01:15] <@wrbtrader> may go back in if it can break above this area
[12:11:10] <codehead> oil dump met some nice volume, followed by nice bounce
[12:12:02] <+codehead> i read a while back something... gave me a slightly different perspective on volume
[12:12:22] <+codehead> subtly different that the one i had for years
[12:12:46] <+codehead> similar, but just a different angle
[12:13:07] <+codehead> and i know this will sound obvious, but i also know that most people dont' think of it this way:
[12:13:18] <+codehead> bullishness is revealed in dumps
[12:13:26] <+codehead> bearishness is revealed in pops
[12:14:04] <+codehead> oil was stepping down, and the last one was a straight down dump, met with great volume
[12:14:59] <+codehead> revealing the strength and interest of buyers down there
[12:16:33] <+Time4now> thanks for the info
[12:16:47] <+codehead> yw
[12:17:35] <+soupy> 1232 hit partial exit
[12:18:08] <+codehead> read that in a book or article on VSA (volume strength analysis)
[12:18:21] <+codehead> reminding me that i need to go back and read more
[12:18:46] <+codehead> big bounce on oil, took back two of those stairsteps down

[12:31:29] <@wrbtrader> Exited ES Long @ 1232.00 --> 0
[12:32:05] <@wrbtrader> entry via trade error but I stay around long enough to see if I could get a lucky 1 tick profit
[12:32:19] <@wrbtrader> didn't get it
[12:37:38] <@wrbtrader> low volatility price rise...toughest game in town to trade

[12:44:37] <+codehead> but getting in a res area
[12:47:45] <@wrbtrader> Long ES @ 1233.00 -> small size
[12:47:52] <@wrbtrader> 2 contracts

[12:47:59] <@wrbtrader> volatility increasing
[12:50:54] <@wrbtrader> Exited all ES Long @ 1232.50 --> - 0.5
[12:52:22] <+codehead> exit NQ -.25 sim
[12:56:52] <+codehead> short NQ 2212.50 sim
[12:57:09] <+codehead> hm, i think it's a flaw in the sim that it filled there, hit but didn't clear it
[12:57:34] <+codehead> it didn't even make the sound for fill, but execution says it's filled
[12:58:12] <+soupy> 1233.50 exit partial
[12:59:05] <+soupy> trailing stop and higher profit target 1237
[12:59:54] <+soupy> with a possible exit in the 1235.50 area

-------------------------

#FuturesTrades is free and is a serious professional trading chat room in which any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not.

Therefore, we welcome all traders with their own trade signal methods, different perspective of the markets and different experience levels. To gain access to #FuturesTrades...please follow the instructions at the below link.

http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

The purpose of #FuturesTrades is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #FuturesTrades.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #FuturesTrades is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: All logs regardless to their location at TheStrategyLab.com website are eastern standard time.
