#TheStrategyLab (formerly known as #FuturesTrades) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis and any trader can use the chat room to post their real-time trades, real-time price action analysis or market commentaries involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades, price action analysis or market commentaries in comparison to other free chat rooms.

#TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be only a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day and this gives them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners and experience) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.

Also, if you want #TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you...please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).

Quote:
Traders that use #TheStrategyLab are not required to post trades but if you do post trades...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding the price action you're trading. To log into #TheStrategyLab chat room...please follow the instructions here at the FTCHAT Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 or for registered members of the chat room at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

Note: Registration is not allowed here at the FTCHAT Forum...it is allowed at the TSL Forum (link above) that provides support for the #TheStrategyLab chat room.

[12:14:16] <+Tigerman> I go take care see all next week and month
[12:22:37] <@wrbtrader> Very slow after all the early morning action :)
[12:35:23] <rick123> hi wrb
[12:35:28] <+rick123> hi all
[12:35:34] <+rick123> wrb r u there
[12:35:53] <+rick123> I have downloaded ur trading posts scripts
[12:36:24] <+rick123> but I am a trader for U.S.Stocks only not the futures ....how I edit the script to make it valid for all US stocks
[12:37:23] <+rick123> I am going to do a test now not a real trade
[12:37:58] <+rick123> Shorts Emini ES @ AAPL @ 662.75
[12:38:15] <+rick123> oh thats not good
[12:38:27] <+rick123> r u there wrb
[12:42:19] <@wrbtrader> Yes...I'm here...in and out today with some network upgrading
[12:42:39] <@wrbtrader> Welcome to the chat room :)
[12:42:41] <+rick123> how can I make it for US stocks only
[12:42:48] <+rick123> thank you
[12:43:59] <@wrbtrader> If your only trading a specific stocks (no more than 9)...
[12:44:13] <@wrbtrader> I can create a special trade post script for those stocks only.
[12:44:40] <@wrbtrader> Just be aware you won't be able to post anything else like forex or futures...just those specific stocks
[12:44:40] <+rick123> well I trade everything .... but we could start with some such as
[12:44:55] <@wrbtrader> Or you can just MANUALLY post the trade
[12:45:04] <@wrbtrader> For example...
[12:45:16] <@wrbtrader> Long @ AAPL @ xyz
[12:45:25] <+rick123> AAPL - EBAY- FAS- IWM- AMZN - BIDU - GOOG- AGQ- GLD -TNA
[12:46:27] <@wrbtrader> Ok...I'll make you a custom script for those stocks
[12:46:45] <+rick123> thnkx wrb
[12:48:48] <rick123> I will do another test
[12:49:31] <+rick123> Shorts Emini ES @ AAPL @682.25
[12:49:42] <+rick123> not working
[12:50:01] <+rick123> cant u make a default one for all US stocks
[12:50:24] <+rick123> using such U.S. Stocks rather than Emini ES ...wrb?
[12:50:32] <+rick123> as a word
[12:52:08] <@wrbtrader> Impossible to make it for all stocks.
[12:52:48] <@wrbtrader> I would have to input every stock symbol that's on wall street.
[12:53:34] <@wrbtrader> Just open your script editor and you'll see why.
[12:53:36] <+rick123> I know ...but I mean make one as a default and when it posts it posts only what I write with color .... meaning when I click short ...it only posts the word SHORT and and fill in the rest
[12:53:59] <+rick123> so its like a default script to any underlying asset
[12:54:44] <+rick123> take out the Emini word or any other instrument name
[12:57:37] <canaandog> not looking at script, but maybe make one of the slots blank, so it might come out "shorts @aapl @123.45"?
[12:57:51] <@wrbtrader> That's too much of a complex script code.
[12:58:14] <@wrbtrader> Basically you're asking to make a two input window...
[12:58:27] <+rick123> u r right
[12:58:29] <@wrbtrader> One for the Symbol and the other for the price
[13:01:41] <@wrbtrader> For now...I recommend using the manual way of posting but it won't be pretting like the colors used in the script.
[13:02:00] <@wrbtrader> Yet, there's a way to color code manual commentary but I'm not sure how to do it.
[13:02:41] <+canaandog> I was assuming he entered "aapl 123.45" in the price window, so if it didn't have "emini es" it might be an ok workaround.
[13:03:03] <@wrbtrader> yeah but it won't be able to do the math for you
[13:03:12] <+canaandog> ah
[13:03:15] <@wrbtrader> That window is only for math
[13:03:24] <+canaandog> problem of not looking at script :)
[13:04:31] <+rick123> I will try to work around something ...I will log out now and log in again to try something
[13:06:57] <rick123> another test
[13:07:12] <+rick123> Shorts Eurex DAX @ AAPL @667.25
[13:07:36] <+rick123> Shorts Stock US @ AAPL @ 667
[13:07:44] <+rick123> what u think of that
[13:07:49] <+rick123> that sounds ok
[13:07:56] <@wrbtrader> Is that via the script of Manual ?
[13:08:06] <+rick123> no via ur script
[13:08:11] <+rick123> I just added a line
[13:08:29] <@wrbtrader> where did you add the line too ?
[13:08:35] <+rick123> and placed Stock US on
[13:09:10] <@wrbtrader> now do the exit
[13:09:10] <+rick123> in the Set default Trade
[13:09:35] <+rick123> then u choose the default from the list
[13:10:01] <+rick123> Covered all Stock US Short @ AAPL @659 --> + AAPL @ 667 - AAPL @659
[13:10:03] <@wrbtrader> I'm curious what will happen when you do the exit
[13:10:12] <+rick123> thats the exit
[13:10:16] <+rick123> ..Stock US:/set %contract Stock US | /echo 4 -sl »»» Default Posting Symbol now set to: %contract
[13:10:26] <+rick123> that is the line I added
[13:10:41] <+rick123> it is working fine
[13:10:48] <+rick123> I think its solved
[13:10:56] <@wrbtrader> No...it's now unable to do your math
[13:11:06] <@wrbtrader> Its ok but if you like it like that...that's ok
[13:11:16] <+rick123> what math
[13:12:18] <@wrbtrader> Like this...
[13:12:55] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 807.80 -> medium size «« testing script »»
[13:13:10] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 807.20 --> + 0.6 «« testing script »»
[13:13:18] <+rick123> aha ok
[13:14:07] <@wrbtrader> volatility spike
[13:14:18] <@wrbtrader> Creeper Down Movement
[13:15:49] <+rick123> Long Stock US @ AAPL @ 662.50 - testing script
[13:16:46] <+rick123> Exited all Stock US Long @ AAPL @663.70 +$ 1.20 - Testing script --> + AAPL @663.70 +$ 1.20 - Testing script - AAPL @ 662.50 - testing script
[13:17:20] <@wrbtrader> ooouch ")
[13:17:30] <+rick123> what
[13:17:35] <+canaandog> I'm not familiar with this scripting language, but if it has string functions, stripping non-digits from entryPrice and exitPrice might re-enable math
[13:17:59] <@wrbtrader> Yes...exactly
[13:18:26] <@wrbtrader> I can't remember what I did to enable it but I do remember it took me a "few months" to get it right.
[13:18:29] <@wrbtrader> :(
[13:18:44] <@wrbtrader> That was back in 1999
[13:19:12] <+rick123> well I am not familiar either ...but atleast we have something in hand now to start with
[13:19:19] <+rick123> but thanks for the efoort wrb
[13:19:49] <+rick123> another test
[13:20:02] <@wrbtrader> The script you're playing with was initially designed to work with with the platforms of 3 brokers...
[13:20:12] <@wrbtrader> Unfortunately it kepted crashing the system.
[13:20:21] <+rick123> Long Stock US @ AAPL @ 662.75
[13:20:25] <@wrbtrader> I then just made it an independent script
[13:21:02] <+rick123> Exited all Stock US Long @ AAPL @ 661.50 --> + AAPL @ 661.50 - AAPL @ 662.75
[13:21:28] <+rick123> ok I know why it is not doing the math
[13:21:39] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 807.50 -> small size
[13:21:45] <@wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[13:22:31] <@wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) or other key market price actions.
[13:22:59] <+rick123> Long Stock US @ aapl @ 667.50
[13:23:25] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 808.00 --> - 0.5
[13:24:02] <+rick123> Exited all Stock US Long @ AAPL @ 665.50 -$2.00 --> + AAPL @ 665.50 -$2.00 - aapl @ 667.50
[13:27:59] <@X> #TheStrategyLab -> Chat room for traders using concepts from WRB Analysis to understand "market context" and to help improve the performance of your trade signal strategies. WRB Analysis free study guide @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... =119&t=718
[13:29:30] <@wrbtrader> Short AAPL @ 667.50 -> 150 shares
[13:29:41] <@wrbtrader> Exited all AAPL @ 665.20 -> + 2.30
[13:30:27] <@wrbtrader> Covered all AAPL @ 665.20 -> + 2.30
[13:30:40] <@wrbtrader> That's the manual way of posting WITHOUT the script
[13:31:30] <@wrbtrader> Long AAPL @ 660.00 -> 150 shares
[13:32:16] <@wrbtrader> Exited all AAPL @ 665.00 -> + 5.00
[13:33:04] <@wrbtrader> those were test trades via manually without a script
[13:33:30] <@wrbtrader> back to trading :)
[13:33:34] <+rick123> how we do it manually
[13:34:36] <@wrbtrader> Code Line: Long AAPL @ 660.00 -> 150 shares
[13:34:43] <@wrbtrader> ooops
[13:34:55] <@wrbtrader> forgot...the code line won't show in the chat window
[13:35:27] <@wrbtrader> To bring up the code link...use CTRL+K
[13:35:39] <@wrbtrader> that's one archaic way of doing it
[13:35:55] <@wrbtrader> I myself have save a file with my code lines...
[13:36:28] <@wrbtrader> Thus, whenever I want to post a manual trade...I just do a quick copy & paste from any of the Short or Long code lines I've saved
[13:36:50] <@wrbtrader> The other way Manual is obviously the quickest...
[13:37:01] <@wrbtrader> Long AAPL @ 667
[13:37:13] <@wrbtrader> That's just a quick type
[13:37:16] <@wrbtrader> no colors
[13:37:33] <@wrbtrader> Yet, got to do your own math :)

[16:39:07] <@wrbtrader> my kids will be in their teens by then...good time to retire early
[16:39:33] <+ajax> Hawaii is nice....but to crowded & has deep water all around, so the beaches are fewer, & not as nice.....the Polynesian Islands...all of them, as the BEST in the wolrd!!.....been to many places, but none compare to them....even the Great Barrier Reef

[16:46:07] <+ajax> Roratorra (sp?) is amazing too!!
[16:48:43] <+ajax> the only 'but' part to tahiti, is the folks there....they hate the French, who govern them....& the males love to fight!!....is part of their culture....they'll fight, & with tourists too if ya in their turf....then sit down with ya to have a Pacific Breww beer.....not kidding....& they big dudes too!!....lol

Session Close: Fri Aug 31 19:52:38 2012

-------------------------

#TheStrategyLab is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience

The purpose of #TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
