The CME Group launched a new product called Micro E-mini futures of the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow and Russell 2000 with the symbols MES (S&P 500), MNQ (Nasdaq), MYM (Dow) and M2K (Russell).

You can find out more about these trading instruments at the CME Group website @ https://www.cmegroup.com/cme-group-futures-exchange/micro-futures.html

Here's a tweet on twitter about the new Micro E-mini futures right before its launch on May 5th Sunday evening @ 6pm est @ https://twitter.com/CNBCFuturesNow/status/1124002811795202053

Micro E-mini futures fit seamlessly within our current product suite and give all traders a simple way to access the equity index futures markets. At 1/10th the size of a classic E-mini contract, Micro E-minis require less cash to enter the market with lower margins.

The above quote from the CME Group website is another way of saying its a trading product for small account traders (retail traders) that want to trade the Index Futures via 1/10th of the size of the main products. Yet, we think it will also become popular for well capitalized traders to test new trade strategies in real money trading on this cheaper product prior to trading the Emini ES, Emini NQ, Emini YM and Emini RTY futures. In addition, it'll most likely be used as a hedge against the main Emini producets (e.g. 10 Micro E-mini MNQ hedged against 1 Emini NQ) and I wouldn't be surprise if it becomes new Micro E-mini becomes popular with Options traders.

With that said, on May 9th Thursday 2019 we have our first Volatility Trading Report (VTR) fee base client that exclusively trades the new Micro E-mini futures...MES and MNQ although his verification DOKs of the WRB Analysis Free Study Guide are via the Emini ES and Emini RTY and Crude Oil BZ futures. In addition, we have 5 new users of the WRB Analysis Free Study Guide that are exclusively trading the Micro E-mini futures.

Further, we have a new trade journal in the private journal section by a Micro E-mini Futures trader of the Micro E-mini MES futures...the first E-mini futures trader to start a trade journal here @ TheStrategyLab...he's using the WRB Analysis Free Study Guide for trend analysis and profit targets merged with his own personal trade signal strategy.

Last of all, you can review the trading instruments that our trade methods are only applicable @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tradinginstruments.htm
