Wide Range Body refers to a single bar that is larger than the previous 3 bars using the standard method. The number of previous bars can be varied to determine a WRB. Three is the default given in the material.
A Hidden Gap WRB is defined by first determining that a WRB exists, then look at the first prior and post bar for any overlap in price action. If any price action overlap occurs (even one tick), then the WRB is not a hidden gap. If there is no overlap in price, then that WRB is a hidden gap WRB.
Hidden gap WRB's can act as support/resistance once the hidden gap price area is breached by the market. A generic, non-event driven WRB hidden gap is not used for further support/resistance once the hidden gap price area has been filled by the market.
