So I read in your free material that professional traders can use stocktwits or twitter feeds to be updated on news events. I can experiment myself of course but I'm wondering which channels (users I guess) might be good to start with. Thanks! |

Hi, It's not a specific channel. In contrast, its a real-time key word search. Simply, you plug-in your favorite key words and every time there's a message posted by anyone on twitter...you'll see only messages in your streaming real-time feed that contains those key words. For example, lets pretend I trade the Eurex DAX and I wanted real-time alerts for any message post that shows up on twitter about "Greece Crisis", "German Unemployment" and "ECB Germany"...my streaming real-time news will show those messages by anyone that post about such on twitter. You can start with programs for streaming real-time key word search like TweekDeck @ https://about.twitter.com/products/tweetdeck and its free. There are other live streaming twitter tools via key word such that can be found via a simple Google search. Like Hootsuite and it too is free. There's a lot of other new types of streaming twitter key word search that's new in the past year that I've not tried like the "visual" streaming feeds. Also, I highly recommend getting an extra monitor just for key market events news feed so that you can keep it all on one monitor for easier monitoring.
