Independence Day July 4th Wednesday is a U.S. federal holiday and the markets are closed. In fact, the Tuesday July 3rd is a 1/2 trading day. I remember when I was a kid my old man would take the day off the trading day before July 4th to make sure he got everything he needed for the family barbecues that will occur for the remainder of the week.
