Hi,

My name is David.

I primarily trade 6E, YM, and CL when I day trade futures. I also trade spot forex, trading mostly the major pairs, as well as a few Yen crosses as well. I also swing/position trade commodities as well. I do not day trade every day, as I do have a day job that keeps me away from the computer on many days. I trade as many days as my work allows, and eventually I plan to transition to trading as a business, and leave my day job behind for a younger person.

I am located in Lehigh Valley, PA, USA.

My broker is Interactive Brokers. For real time charting I currently use Ninjatrader, though I have tried Sierra charts recently, and I am seriously considering changing to Sierra. For daily charts, I use CSI Data.

For day trading, my primary trading method is based on a system that can be found at ForexFactory in a thread called SonicR. I post there under the user name "ddaytrader." I use S/R to identify areas where I look for my set ups, and I have long fostered an awareness of range expansion and contraction as an itegral component of understanding price action. That being said, I know I do not have a complete grasp of how to read volatility, and I am looking forward to studying the materials here at thestrategylab.com to move my understanding forward in a positive way.

Thanks to Mr. Perry for making this available.

Sincerely,

David, aka carpetcleaner
