#FuturesTrades is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room and any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades or market commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies in comparison to other free chat rooms.

#FuturesTrades is designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

In addition, we welcome all traders with their own methods or different perspective of the markets to help keep the chat room diversified...posting trades or market commentaries. Also, if you're looking for real-time education in the chat room involving price action only trading (profitably trading without indicators)...you need to contact us to schedule price action only trading real-time discussions. We'll then have one on one (private) real-time price action only trading discussions with you while you're using #FuturesTrades real-time chat room to prevent distractions in the chat room with other members that are using different trading methods in comparison to us. However, you must first download and learn our free study guide at a different forum @ TSL Support Forum * http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

With that said, thanks for reading the trades or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful trade information not discussed anywhere else online nor in any books if you're not interested in scheduling one on one (private) real-time price action only trading education discussions. To gain access to #FuturesTrades chat room...please follow the instructions @ FTCHAT Support Forum * http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

[09:30:18] <Trendtrader> Shorts TF @ 794.5 «« simulator »»
[09:34:32] <+Trendtrader> Covered 1/2 TF Short @ 793.3 --> + 1.2 «« simulator »»
[09:34:45] <+Trendtrader> Covered Remainder TF Short @ 791.5 --> + 3 «« simulator »»
[09:35:06] <@wrbtrader> It's moving fast
[09:39:37] <@wrbtrader> nice trade
[09:41:30] <+Trendtrader> thanks.
[09:42:05] <+Trendtrader> What days are you going to take off this week and next?
[09:42:27] <+Trendtrader> i.e. Our and the USA holidays...
[09:45:12] <@wrbtrader> Yeah, I know there's some holidays coming soon...not sure. Will let the kids determine what days they want me to take off from trading for activities they want to do.
[09:47:17] <pat255> gm all
[09:56:38] <drt> gm all
[10:21:08] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies
[10:21:27] <+pat255> S 799.4
[10:21:32] <+pat255> TF
[10:22:30] <+pat255> out here too strong
[10:28:58] <+pat255> parabolic here
[10:44:33] <Dominic> .
[10:48:41] <@wrbtrader> Too bad I wasn't trading when the Emini Futures bounced off the intraday lows with the help from other key markets like Eurex futures.
[10:49:07] <@wrbtrader> Nice looking trade signal...only get a few of them per month.
[10:50:37] <@wrbtrader> In fact, some trading months every year...it's these few trades that will have the most impact on our profit results those particular months becuase the other trading days are just trying to stay above water.
[10:50:54] <+pat255> y ..parabolic move after that
[10:51:43] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...if I can catch 1 - 3 of these per month...it's a good trading month
[10:51:56] <@wrbtrader> less stress too
[10:53:03] <+pat255> y with your size it is possible
[10:53:25] <@wrbtrader> For me...I trade the same with 1 - 3 contracts.
[10:54:08] <@wrbtrader> The issue for me is that I hit a 'psychological threshold' around 6 - 9 contracts even though I have the capital to trade 5 times the size.
[10:54:21] <+pat255> wow
[10:54:40] <@wrbtrader> Simply, I don't have the ability to manage my trades properly beyond 6 - 9 contracts.
[10:55:01] <@wrbtrader> A lot of fear grabs me...could never shake it.
[10:55:23] <+pat255> even 6-9 cars are good size
[10:56:10] <@wrbtrader> It showed its face when I traded very large size in Emini ES futures, Light Crude Oil CL futures and Treasury futures.
[10:56:28] <@wrbtrader> in reference to that FEAR of trading large size.
[10:56:34] <@wrbtrader> pat...size is relative.
[10:56:37] <+pat255> i reacllyour large sizes in ES many months ago
[10:56:56] <@wrbtrader> I've seen a few pass through here and say 2 - 3 Emini ES contracts is LARGE
[10:57:20] <+pat255> that is me ..
[10:58:00] <@wrbtrader> Lets put it this way, when I trade something very liquid like Emini ES...
[10:58:18] <@wrbtrader> It feels like I'm in a crowded room and everybody is talking at the same time.
[10:58:36] <+pat255> y es is the worst to trade.
[10:59:05] <@wrbtrader> Some traders feel comfortable in maxing out the limit on their position size.
[10:59:23] <@wrbtrader> I don't and took me a few years to resign to that fact.
[11:00:08] <+Dominic> Interesting; I would have thought having a large acct balance would give a trader more confidence to trade larger postions and take away fear..
[11:00:13] <+pat255> your size looks good for an exoerience trader ..
[11:00:16] <@wrbtrader> If I had the perfect mental readiness as in NO EMOTIONS...I would trade about 50 Emini ES contracts
[11:00:44] <@wrbtrader> Dominic...only for a few that's true.
[11:01:23] <@wrbtrader> Meant...of those with large trading accounts...only a few can handle the psychological issue of large position size as discretionary traders
[11:01:36] <+Dominic> Well anyday you want to swap acct balance let me know..:)
[11:01:42] <@wrbtrader> :)
[11:02:30] <@wrbtrader> I think we all put everything on the line at least once...
[11:02:40] <@wrbtrader> I did a few times...didn't have good results.
[11:02:51] <+Dominic> Do you ever feel that your broker knows your position and leverage in acct and runs it against you? Thats a mental issue Im trying to overcome.
[11:03:16] <@wrbtrader> I don't feel that way in futures but I did feel that way in Forex trades
[11:03:54] <+Dominic> Im trading 6E and 6A through my broker which starts with a V and I swear thats the case; yet I could be wrong.
[11:04:26] <@wrbtrader> Yet, I become suspicious when a broker calls me at home and tells me a particular trade was a "nice trade".
[11:04:43] <+Dominic> !!!!!!
[11:04:45] <@wrbtrader> I've had that done a few times...surprised me a lot.
[11:06:30] <@wrbtrader> I'm very happy if a broker never calls me about anything...
[11:06:33] <@wrbtrader> I'm less paranoid.
[11:06:54] <+Dominic> Only time a broker has called me was margin call!!!
[11:28:21] <+Dominic> Seems like trading 6E there is an algo or hft program that runs it against you 3 pips upon any entry..
[11:37:07] <@wrbtrader> Dominic...you trading 6E when algos or hft are most likely to be executing trades ?
[11:39:26] <+Dominic> Seems like its a constant; doesnt matter if morning or late evening; makes me think its my broker hedging or taking opposite side; dont want to sound parinoid; yet feel thats what happens.
[11:47:20] <+Dominic> To help prove my "theory", I will go and place a buy or short and then the bid/ask gets move 3 pips almost immedialtely; before you know it your down approx 6 pips and then thankful to get out at break even and the broker has collected your commsiosn..:) Its all good!
[11:48:08] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies
[12:48:09] <@wrbtrader> Dominic...you talking about "market orders' ?
[12:48:51] <@wrbtrader> Regardless, if I see such what you've described...
[12:49:13] <@wrbtrader> I would only Short on upticks or Long on downticks.
[12:50:01] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...you'll miss a lot of trade opportunities doing such :(
[13:18:08] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies

[14:49:00] <@wrbtrader> Light Crude Oil CL futures range bound since 11am est
[14:49:40] <@wrbtrader> although there's a micro-trend between 12pm - 1pm est
[14:49:55] <+pat255> quite a push up ..

[17:00:30] <@wrbtrader> Trendtrader and pat were the only ones that trades today.
[17:01:03] <@wrbtrader> Hopefully more will be active in posting trades or discussing the price action of whatever it is their trading especially if they need help.

-------------------------

#FuturesTrades is free and is a serious professional trading chat room in which any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not.

Therefore, we welcome all traders with their own trade signal methods, different perspective of the markets and different experience levels. To gain access to #FuturesTrades...please follow the instructions at the below link.

http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

The purpose of #FuturesTrades is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #FuturesTrades.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #FuturesTrades is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: All logs regardless to their location at TheStrategyLab.com website are eastern standard time.
