#FuturesTrades is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room and any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades or market commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies in comparison to other free chat rooms.

#FuturesTrades is designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

In addition, we welcome all traders with their own methods or different perspective of the markets to help keep the chat room diversified...posting trades or market commentaries. Also, if you're looking for real-time education in the chat room involving price action only trading (profitably trading without indicators)...you need to contact us to schedule price action only trading real-time discussions. We'll then have one on one (private) real-time price action only trading discussions with you while you're using #FuturesTrades real-time chat room to prevent distractions in the chat room with other members that are using different trading methods in comparison to us. However, you must first download and learn our free study guide at a different forum @ TSL Support Forum * http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

With that said, thanks for reading the trades or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful trade information not discussed anywhere else online nor in any books if you're not interested in scheduling one on one (private) real-time price action only trading education discussions. To gain access to #FuturesTrades chat room...please follow the instructions @ FTCHAT Support Forum * http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

[10:55:18] <@wrbtrader> Your more aggressive than I am today :)
[10:55:35] <+Tigerman> yep but not always pay off
[10:55:37] <@wrbtrader> I'm kind'uv taken to foot off the pedal after a big trading day yesterday.
[10:56:57] <+Tigerman> I plan to be agressive but it easy get burned so I have to take care
[10:57:02] <@wrbtrader> Usually my goals for the day gets me over 1k profit but today I'm taking it easy a little
[10:57:16] <@wrbtrader> will be happy with $500 bucks today
[10:57:26] <+Tigerman> I start to be depressed soon after some loss:(
[10:57:50] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 823.80 --> + 2
[10:58:18] <+Tigerman> so after some good trades the bad one ruin my mood
[10:58:43] <+pat255> vn guys just slow today keep missing trading days
[10:58:51] <+Tigerman> and look at the screen all day is not good expecially for my back
[10:59:08] <+Tigerman> still recovering from car accident..
[11:01:23] <+Bambam-77> wtg good work all
[11:03:03] <+Bambam-77> oooh so close to that 25 trgt area
[11:05:01] <+Bambam-77> 21.7 key now

[11:57:18] <@wrbtrader> actually it has been as such since 10am est
[12:00:21] <+Bambam-77> i have a trgt as hi as 38 for russel today hmm or tomorrow but whats in a trgt but just a number lol
[12:01:36] <@wrbtrader> Bambam...that's a realistic target considering the way the Emini TF has bounced back after yesterday's deep down day
[12:02:30] <@wrbtrader> However, we are still INSIDE a range since Feb 18th 2011
[12:02:33] <+Bambam-77> most of my projections are based on the 30 min bars
[12:03:10] <+Bambam-77> always nice to know what the other time frame players are looking at
[12:03:57] <@wrbtrader> My INSIDE range comment is via the 60 min chart
[12:04:05] <+Bambam-77> just so we do not get tic...itis
[12:04:18] <+Bambam-77> good anothe r awsome chart
[12:04:34] <@wrbtrader> To be more specific...it's a "high volatility range"
[12:04:36] <+Bambam-77> 60 min as well as 120
[12:05:23] <@wrbtrader> I prefer high volatility range (increase chance for profits) instead of the low volatility range (increased chance for losses)
[12:05:59] <+Bambam-77> y
[12:06:41] <+Bambam-77> if you can't see the big picture do not trade
[12:08:27] <+Tigerman> see all next time
[12:08:33] <ItalianSharp> question: is rollover day this thursday? or next one? thanks in advance
[12:10:25] <@wrbtrader> Italiansharp...rolloever is Thurs March 10th and Expire is Fri March 18th fo U.S. Equity Index Futures products
[12:10:38] <@wrbtrader> I took that info from the CMEGroup website
[12:10:45] <@wrbtrader> http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity- ... _Dates.pdf
[12:10:46] <+ItalianSharp> thank you so much sir
[12:12:19] <pat12> later guys ty all
[12:13:18] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies
[12:41:24] <@wrbtrader> low volatility tight trading range the past 30 mins
[12:41:51] <@wrbtrader> It's like a cork trying to losen up so that it can pop
[12:54:31] <+Time4now> or its like a sleeping pill lulling you to sleep
[13:31:24] <@wrbtrader> We're still stuck withing that "low volatility tight trading range" since 12noon est
[13:31:54] <@wrbtrader> Just price noise...nothing that merits trading in the Emini Futures
[13:32:40] <+Time4now> tempting
[13:32:54] <+Time4now> but I think if i short this, it will be due to boredom
[13:33:42] <@wrbtrader> You mean is you go Long or Short it will be due to boredom :)
[13:34:23] <+Time4now> well, yes :)
[13:40:18] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies
[13:41:20] <@wrbtrader> simple boredom management strategy...
[13:42:00] <@wrbtrader> put audio price alerts a point or two above and below current price.
[13:43:12] <@wrbtrader> Next, leave the computer and go watch TV, read a book, do laundry, exercise in a nearby room so that you can hear that audio alert if it beeps or whatever.
[13:43:38] <@wrbtrader> My is a female voice..."attention, price alert reached".
[13:44:05] <@wrbtrader> It continuously repeats until I stop it
[13:44:32] <+Time4now> good idea
[13:44:47] <@wrbtrader> The female voice came as default with the charting program.
[13:45:16] <donaldT44> sexy sounding?
[13:45:27] <@wrbtrader> No...kind'uv robotic
[13:45:40] <+donaldT44> lol
[13:45:55] <@wrbtrader> However, I do have custom audio files that I had "past" girlfriends create :)
[13:47:21] <@wrbtrader> Some charting programs allow import of custom audio price alert files, bid/ask alerts, size alerts, trendline alerts, indicator alerts et cetera.
[13:47:48] <@wrbtrader> I think it was TradeStation that first started with such when they were first known as Omega Research
[14:11:43] <@wrbtrader> If you guys are bored still although volatility is increasing as it broke support below the range...
[14:12:11] <@wrbtrader> Here's an old video of what could happen if you can't control your emotions @ viewtopic.php?f=41&t=775
[14:28:28] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 823.70 -> small size
[14:28:33] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract
[14:30:30] <+Time4now> I walked away second before this brake
[14:33:08] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 823.20 --> - 0.5
[14:38:02] <Sidhartha> that's a bad day... I've had a few bad days over the years... but nothing even close to that!
[14:38:22] * Time4now is now known as Time4now_away
[14:43:03] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 823.50 -> small size
[14:43:22] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract
[14:49:24] <Hoff> that video was painfull to watch
[14:49:43] <@wrbtrader> Exactly...disturbing is my word for it.
[14:50:05] <@wrbtrader> I watch it every few months as a reminder "not to lose control".
[14:50:56] <@wrbtrader> I once saw a guy crash on his bike while not wearing a helmet...
[14:51:21] <@wrbtrader> I've never forgotten to wear a helmet ever since.
[14:54:55] <+Hoff> when ever I hear that little voice in the back of my skull saying "just ride it out" when I'm at my stop, I mentaly smack myself, hard
[14:55:13] <@wrbtrader> Yep
[14:58:14] <@wrbtrader> Another reminder to be careful @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVRjLErrAFQ
[14:58:16] <@wrbtrader> :)
[15:00:51] <+Hoff> Hope no body died
[15:01:22] <@wrbtrader> I think he was fired
[15:01:34] <+Hoff> I'm sure
[15:04:44] <TrendT> wreckage! In both videos. Thanks for the reminder.
[15:05:00] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 824.50 --> + 1
[15:10:19] <@X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for traders of Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQQ, SPY) and Forex Currencies
[15:53:52] <@wrbtrader> so far...volatility contraction going into the 4pm est rush hour traffic
[15:58:24] <+Sidhartha> wrbtrader, do you know the guy in that trading video...?
[16:04:39] <@wrbtrader> Yes
[16:04:58] <@wrbtrader> I have other videos of other traders but they are confidential except for that one.
[16:05:25] <Time4now_away> :/
[16:05:27] <+Sidhartha> Poor guy...
[16:05:40] * Time4now_away is now known as Time4now
[16:05:53] <@wrbtrader> I guess some folks like to video record "themselves" with their trading plaform while trading.
[16:06:33] <+Sidhartha> that's harrowing. But I guess he learnt his lesson
[16:06:36] <+Hoff> I would have burned the tape
[16:07:07] <@wrbtrader> I have one (confidential) of a trading pay losing "$185,000" on one trade in about 2 hours...
[16:07:18] <+Sidhartha> I would have burned the house down... drank 6 bottles of burbon and driven off a bridge...
[16:07:30] <+Sidhartha> jeez
[16:07:55] <+Sidhartha> just kidding...
[16:08:13] <@wrbtrader> He put his new $1200 chair through a window of his 2nd floor condo
[16:08:23] <@wrbtrader> Luckily nobody was outside below
[16:08:44] <+Sidhartha> I think we've all experience those 'bad' days every now and then... less so hopefully as we get more experienced... but those days where you give back 2 weeks trading profits in a day...
[16:09:11] <+Sidhartha> hasn't happened to me for quite a long time now...
[16:09:22] <@wrbtrader> Yep, I still remember vividly a few blunders...
[16:09:38] <@wrbtrader> Lost $12,000 on my very first trade
[16:09:42] <@wrbtrader> didn't use a stop
[16:09:47] <+Sidhartha> then you look back at the trading day in detail, and you think... "what the heck was I doing when I didn this..."
[16:09:59] <+Sidhartha> didn=did
[16:10:21] <@wrbtrader> I also get hit with big losses whenever I switch brokers and trade the platform live the first time.
[16:10:40] <@wrbtrader> I don't switch anymore :)
[16:10:46] <+Sidhartha> you realise what felt like a 'trade' at the time was nothing more than an emotional attempt to get some money back cheaply & easily... that compounded the problem
[16:14:55] <@wrbtrader> Lesson with the "High Probability" trader...
[16:15:13] <@wrbtrader> * Watch your overnight trading positions
[16:15:46] <@wrbtrader> * Setup an alert (audio, email, phone, anything) when the price action is approaching a stop.
[16:16:13] <@wrbtrader> * Use stops for overnight or long term trades (position trades)
[16:16:56] <@wrbtrader> A simply crisis in another country that you have absolutely no control can cause chaos in your trading account
[16:17:19] <@wrbtrader> Too many traders get tunnel vision and quickly forget the markets are "globally connected".
[16:18:07] <@wrbtrader> Last recommendation for those with discipline problems...
[16:18:22] <@wrbtrader> * Have a fail safe buddy
[16:18:59] <@wrbtrader> For example, when I had serious discipline problems early in my trading career (early 1990's)...
[16:19:20] <@wrbtrader> I had help from my girlfriend.
[16:20:17] <+Time4now> i dont get it?
[16:20:25] <+Time4now> what are they going to do?
[16:20:49] <@wrbtrader> Well...if you don't have the ability to turn the switch off or close the trade and you're acting crazy...
[16:20:58] <@wrbtrader> Someone else must do it for you :)
[16:21:16] <+Time4now> oh, close the trade out for you? wild
[16:21:19] <@wrbtrader> She had access to my trading account
[16:21:22] <@wrbtrader> Exactly
[16:21:53] <@wrbtrader> Lets put it this way...it's embarrassing to have the girlfriend get involve and close a bad trade.
[16:22:03] <@wrbtrader> Do that a few times and you don't do it again :)
[16:22:10] <@wrbtrader> Simple "peer pressure".
[16:23:18] <@wrbtrader> Everybody is different but that worked extremely well for me and it quickly cleaned up several discipline problems.
[16:23:38] <+Time4now> I never would have thought of that one
[16:23:44] <+Time4now> I'll remember it
[16:24:36] * Time4now is now known as Time4now_away
[16:24:49] <@wrbtrader> Anyways, the High Probability trader has a way to get back on his feet again.

-------------------------

#FuturesTrades is free and is a serious professional trading chat room in which any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries involving futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not.

Therefore, we welcome all traders with their own trade signal methods, different perspective of the markets and different experience levels. To gain access to #FuturesTrades...please follow the instructions at the below link.

http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

The purpose of #FuturesTrades is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #FuturesTrades.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #FuturesTrades is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: All logs regardless to their location at TheStrategyLab.com website are eastern standard time.
