[09:54:04] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3434.50 -> large size
[09:54:17] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[09:54:55] <wrbtrader> starting to feel like a difficult tight trading range that's contracting in its volatility
[09:56:37] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3435.50 --> + 1
[09:56:49] <wrbtrader> :(
[09:57:05] <asuni> i thought it would go over 3438
[09:58:52] <asuni> KME at 10.00
[10:03:32] <asuni> not able to exit from most recent dowm WRBHG
[10:09:26] <wrbtrader> waiting for a snapback here

[10:17:22] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 3430.50 -> large size
[10:17:31] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:20:21] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 3427.00 --> + 3.5
[10:20:37] <wrbtrader> not a WRB pt1
[10:20:54] <wrbtrader> trail stop error
[10:21:10] <wrbtrader> not going to jump back in...will just watch awhile
[10:23:19] <wrbtrader> now it hits a WRB p1
[10:29:18] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 3419.75 -> large size
[10:29:23] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:32:52] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 3415.00 --> + 4.75
[10:32:59] <asuni> great trade
[10:33:04] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:33:28] <wrbtrader> Takes the sting off the prior Short early exit for no reason
[10:38:59] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3418.50 -> large size
[10:39:09] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:39:48] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3417.00 --> - 1.5
[10:42:21] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 3413.75 -> large size
[10:42:29] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:42:41] <wrbtrader> contradicting signals
[10:43:33] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 3411.00 --> + 2.75
[10:43:51] <wrbtrader> small WRB pt1 reached
[10:44:13] <wrbtrader> Didn't want to hang around to long in that Short
[10:44:35] <wrbtrader> Contradictory signals always feel like they an snapback very easy
[10:44:47] <asuni> difficult price action for me, but i'm in gain
[10:44:59] <asuni> by the way, i'm in gain
[10:47:51] <asuni> your entry prices are incredible
[10:48:35] <wrbtrader> Which ones...normal, early entries or late entries ?
[10:48:59] <asuni> a large part of my trades are similar to yours, but my entry prices are horrible
[10:49:09] <wrbtrader> I've been making a better effort to classify them as such...forgot the "re-entries" category too
[10:49:26] <asuni> i mean, if i enter a trade before or after u, 99 /100 have a worst price
[10:50:17] <wrbtrader> I don't understand, what about my "chasers" ?
[10:50:31] <wrbtrader> I've been doing too many of those lately (past week)
[10:50:57] <asuni> yes, but normally u have always a great entry
[10:52:05] <wrbtrader> You should classify your trade entries...great to scan each trade to know if you're reacting to late, antipating the trade signal and so on
[10:52:07] <asuni> a lot of times immediately after an entry i'm in loss of .5 or .75
[10:54:39] <wrbtrader> You mean as soon as you see confirmation in your platform about your entry...its already @ -0.50 to -0.75
[10:56:01] <asuni> i mean i rarely have an easy trade, a lot of time price action goes in the contrary side as soos as i enter
[10:57:45] <wrbtrader> Do you chase more, early entry more, get entries at the price of the trade signal...
[10:57:47] <wrbtrader> ?
[10:58:48] <asuni> chase more, i'mtrying to recuce them
[10:58:51] <asuni> reduce
[10:59:03] <wrbtrader> That's when you need to start categorizing your entries (e.g. late entry, early entry, @ signal, trade error and so on)
[10:59:56] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3422.00 -> large size
[11:00:06] <asuni> what i want to say is that very very often i'm right to find the direction, but a lot of time i'm stopped out
[11:00:07] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[11:00:11] <wrbtrader> poor entry
[11:01:09] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3427.50 --> + 5.5
[11:01:18] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[11:01:21] <asuni> this is a classic example, even if i'm sideline
[11:01:38] <asuni> i would enter long at 3422.75
[11:02:02] <asuni> quite 1 point of difference from your entry
[11:02:14] <wrbtrader> signal @ 3420.25
[11:02:38] <wrbtrader> The problem is you're doing this...
[11:03:35] <wrbtrader> You're comparing your entry to my entry instead of comparing your entry to the trade signal price or comparing your entry to the price you think you should have enter
[11:03:51] <wrbtrader> Simply, remove my entry from the comparison equation
[11:04:41] <asuni> i don't look at your trades, i jus mak ur trades in comparison with mine later
[11:05:14] <asuni> i simply need to find better entries
[11:05:36] <wrbtrader> I stopped comparing my entries to others about 15 years ago because I really do not know what signals they're using nor know how their charts are setup
[11:06:13] <wrbtrader> I had an interesting conversation weith Tigerman about "visual" of the signals via how the charts are setup
[11:07:05] <wrbtrader> If your mind is setup to view your charts on top of each other but in reality your charts are setup side by side (not on top of each other)...
[11:07:16] <wrbtrader> You're going to have consistent late entries
[11:07:52] <wrbtrader> The same is true if your mind is setup fo view your charts side by side but you're using charts on top of each other...
[11:08:01] <wrbtrader> Results agains as late trade entries
[11:08:50] <wrbtrader> Prior to my hospitalization...I had always used "side by side" charts setup on my monitors
[11:09:13] <wrbtrader> After my hospitalization...my mind couldn't process the info fast enough that way
[11:09:43] <wrbtrader> I then had to change my charts to "top of each other"...no longer side by side
[11:10:35] <wrbtrader> I also now (since hospitalization) use "crosshair sync" on all of my charts
[11:11:18] <wrbtrader> Thus, if I put my crosshairs on one chart...the crosshairs show up also on all the other correlated markets I'm watching
[11:11:47] <wrbtrader> It helps to minimize slow entries or late entries
[11:11:58] <wrbtrader> But it increases my number of "early entries"
[11:16:08] <wrbtrader> Summary - How your charts are setup on your monitors is just as important as your trade signals because your chart setup impacts how fast you see those trade signals and impacts when you enter the trades
[11:17:04] <wrbtrader> It took me about 8 years to realize the importance of how my charts setup impact my trade decisions
[11:17:04] <asuni> i have charts side by side, in each of them i have ES, NQ and YM
[11:22:20] <wrbtrader> If you have tried both "On Top" versus "Side by Side"...stick with one until you start noticing your trade entries are late more often than not to the actual trade signal
[11:59:58] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3423.00 -> large size
[12:00:01] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts early entry
[12:00:35] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3423.25 --> + 0.25
[12:00:44] <wrbtrader> trail stop picked :(
[12:02:20] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3423.75 -> large size
[12:02:26] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts re-entry
[12:02:28] <wrbtrader> poor entry
[12:04:09] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3423.25 --> - 0.5
[12:06:54] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3421.50 -> large size
[12:07:01] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts re-entry
[12:15:15] <wrbtrader> small WRB pt1 reached
[12:15:35] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3427.75 --> + 6.25
[12:45:21] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3425.00 -> small size
[12:45:25] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[12:45:42] <wrbtrader> poor entry
[12:46:55] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3425.25 --> + 0.25
[14:24:48] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3450.00 -> small size
[14:24:53] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[14:25:04] <wrbtrader> poor entry
[14:26:47] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3448.25 --> - 1.75
[14:33:56] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3446.50 -> small size
[14:34:05] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts re-entry
[14:36:20] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 3448.50 --> + 2
[14:36:51] <wrbtrader> still a small WRB pt1
[14:40:15] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 3447.25 -> large size
[14:40:17] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[14:42:28] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 3447.50 --> - 0.25
[14:42:41] <wrbtrader> too much contraction
[14:42:58] <wrbtrader> Its going to do a volatility spike...
[14:43:16] <wrbtrader> The problem is that its n a tight trading range...could just spike up and down
[14:43:37] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 3446.50 -> large size
[14:43:46] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts re-entry
[14:46:12] <wrbtrader> small WRB pt1 reached
[14:48:20] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 3445.75 --> + 0.75
[14:48:31] <wrbtrader> tight trail stop picked
[14:49:08] <wrbtrader> had to keep it tight because I didn't want to get nailed by a snapback Up
[14:50:25] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3446.00 -> large size
[14:50:30] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts

[14:53:48] <wrbtrader> bailed on the trade
[14:54:35] <wrbtrader> may get lucky and grab a better entry to the Long side
[14:58:05] <wrbtrader> missed it :(
[14:59:17] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 3445.00 -> large size
[14:59:30] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts re-entry

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trade alert room with a head trader telling you what to trade, when to buy or when to sell. In fact, we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading and its a flawed substitution for mentoring in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
