##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for you to use the free chat room as a trade journal of your trades via you posting WRB Analysis of the price action you see on your monitors, posting price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or posting your real-time trades (simulator or real money) in a timestamp environment after you've received confirmation from your broker trade execution platform. Simply, the free chat room is a trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements and you decide to not discuss WRB Analysis nor post any real-time information about how you're viewing the markets nor post real-time trades...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of failing at trading.

The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about their use of WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) merged with their trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if they're a position trader, swing trader, day trader, trend trader or range trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

With that said, thanks for reviewing (reading) the below timestamped trades, price action analysis or market commentaries and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[11:17:24] <wrbtrader> Wow...Tigerman
[11:17:40] <wrbtrader> I've never seen you post this many trades before in one trading day
[11:17:47] <wrbtrader> What happen ???
[11:18:16] <wrbtrader> You made an "auto-script" to make it easy to post trades ?
[11:24:18] <Tigerman______> Hi wrbtrader I m more nervous and hyper active
[11:25:07] <Tigerman______> all post via hands in manual
[11:26:10] <Tigerman______> just today I post what usually I do
[11:26:33] <Tigerman______> I ll not post every day like this
[11:26:52] <Tigerman______> it is just a remaind I can made it
[11:28:17] <Tigerman______> too distracting and difficult to post while fast trading
[11:28:30] <Tigerman______> now I finish
[11:42:07] <wrbtrader> Yes...scalpers would find posting real time trades not suitable environment for chat rooms
[11:42:28] <wrbtrader> In contrast, just posting an occassional "price action analysis" is ok
[11:43:28] <wrbtrader> There's a several scalpers at the forum that do not use the chat room here but they do post their daily broker statements in their private threads
[11:43:42] <wrbtrader> One guy takes about 200 trades per day
[11:43:47] <wrbtrader> crazy
[11:44:04] <wrbtrader> no way can you post real time trades in a chat room
[11:44:18] <Tigerman______> yeah not possible
[11:44:25] <wrbtrader> Just too distracting from trading to post trades in a chat room
[11:44:50] <Tigerman______> scalping in a world apart
[11:45:17] <Tigerman______> it also can be done ONLY you have a REAL edge
[11:46:05] <Tigerman______> also some futures are difficult with hat
[11:46:53] <Tigerman______> my main concern is how long I can go with fast trdes
[11:47:05] <Tigerman______> like health and the edge continue
[11:47:36] <Tigerman______> now I have to go
[11:47:47] <Tigerman______> take care wrbtrader and all see next time
[11:47:56] <wrbtrader> Ok...bye
[12:04:44] <werner1> Shorts Emini NQ @ 7274.25
[12:05:14] <werner1> Covered all Emini NQ Short @ 7265.75 --> + 8.5
[14:51:46] <wrbtrader> Hi ksch
[14:51:57] <wrbtrader> You a scalper ???
[14:52:25] <ksch> Hi wrb trader:)
[14:52:37] <ksch> yes I most prefer scalping
[14:52:52] <wrbtrader> Ok...thanks for the info
[14:53:02] <ksch> but should really switch to futures instead of forex or cfds, spreads too high
[14:53:35] <wrbtrader> Reason why I ask because usually when someone logs in and not posting trades or not posting any kind'uv price action analysis they see on their monitors...
[14:54:04] <wrbtrader> Its because they are scalpers. Thus, they don't have time to post due to the distractions of a chat room :)
[14:55:18] <werner1> ok must now ...take care all
[14:55:20] <ksch> i see, no that isn't the case for me, I could post trades but I feel sometimes a little intimidated around experienced traders
[14:55:52] <ksch> but should really dive in, I think I'll do so next week for a couple days
[14:56:07] <ksch> I have a question for you though if you still have a minute
[14:56:24] <wrbtrader> Go ahead
[14:57:03] <ksch> i went through your trades on tuesday and you took a short trade off a 15min wrbhg zone
[14:57:25] <wrbtrader> Yes
[14:57:37] <ksch> short on the ES, and basically as the price just touched the zone you went short when a reaction high formed on the 1min chart
[14:57:56] <ksch> reaction high forming after the touch of the zone that is
[14:58:05] <wrbtrader> I think I used a WRB Zone from another price action to help with that trade of Emini ES
[14:58:08] <wrbtrader> I usually do
[14:58:38] <ksch> although this isn't a formal signal per say, so I was wondering how much discretion you use
[14:58:40] <wrbtrader> I would say I use WRB Zones from Emini ES itself about 3 out of 10 trades
[14:59:26] <ksch> I see, because often perfect signals don't happen all that often, maybe a few a day
[15:00:28] <ksch> So is it alright to take trades if given some evidence that the price is reversing off a zone s/r lovel, even if it doesn't follow a formal trade signal?
[15:00:54] <wrbtrader> Most of my trades 2018 are via a new trade signal...to be precise...its an old trade signal strategy I developed back in early 2000 but it wasn't working well back then so I stopped using it and put it into the closet until recently when I begin using it again
[15:01:46] <wrbtrader> It mysteriously started performing well again and I'm just going with the flow...using whatever is currently working well
[15:01:47] <ksch> very interesting, because I like wrb analysis but find it's not that often to get the perfect signal following all rules.
[15:02:02] <ksch> wow that's great
[15:02:19] <wrbtrader> WRB Analysis itself is not a trade signal...its an analysis.
[15:02:46] <wrbtrader> In contrast, the trade signals need WRB Zones for the signal to be valid
[15:03:05] <wrbtrader> Yet, all the trade signals have key concepts from WRB Analysis
[15:03:27] <wrbtrader> especially the "trade management" info
[15:03:41] <wrbtrader> as in profit targets and stop placement
[15:04:13] <ksch> Yes and I think that's what I'm not understand a little. From my understanding wrb zones are purely for s/r levels and dcm trade analysis. But I don't understand the overall market view, or is there anything on top of this?
[15:05:04] <ksch> sorry, are there any other information one can gather from a wrb zone other than s/r and direction (dcm analysis)?
[15:05:15] <wrbtrader> WRB Zones is just for analysis...nothing to do with DCM
[15:05:20] <wrbtrader> DCM is a trade signal
[15:05:33] <ksch> Yes but direction as well
[15:05:53] <wrbtrader> Yes, DCM is trade signal and direction
[15:06:07] <wrbtrader> WRB Zones have nothing to do with trade signals
[15:06:38] <wrbtrader> In fact, most users of TheStrategyLab are only using WRB Zones with their own trade signal strategies that they've designed
[15:07:48] <ksch> I see. I've done some testing with applying wrb zones to other trade signals, some it really helps a lot and some it doesn't seem to help as much
[15:08:13] <ksch> I also wanted to ask how you manage a losing trade?
[15:08:44] <ksch> Sometimes I'll take a fvb or dcm trade signal and while most of the time they work, sometimes they go straight against me
[15:09:38] <wrbtrader> I manage my trades via the trade management file but I have my own personal issues involving "aggressive entries" before confirmation and early exits due to fear
[15:09:59] <ksch> hehe, yes me too as well
[15:11:10] <wrbtrader> I'm now better at documenting those "aggressive entries" and "early exits" so that I have statistical data of how much it impacts my overall trading results...from a quantitative view point
[15:11:10] <ksch> I will check the trade management file, but it mostly focuses on how to manage the winning trades
[15:11:30] <ksch> does it help or hurt?
[15:11:37] <wrbtrader> Its the other way around :)
[15:11:51] <wrbtrader> It focus on losing trades via the view point of a winning trade
[15:12:13] <ksch> huh? :)
[15:12:32] <ksch> will haver to think a little bit :)
[15:12:48] <wrbtrader> Psychologically, traders don't want to talk about how to manage a losing trade...
[15:13:28] <wrbtrader> Thus, I show how to manage a winning trade so that they understand its the same process for managing a losing trade. No difference except in the mind
[15:14:10] <ksch> very interfesting, I'll probably need half a day to think about that a little
[15:14:48] <ksch> My best take is in a long case, allowing one close below the swing low or reaction low
[15:15:02] <wrbtrader> The secret is to manage "ALL" your trades the same even when psychologically when see them differenc.
[15:15:53] <ksch> so is one way to interpret this is to decide to exit after one wrb, regardless of if it's direction is favourable or not?
[15:16:17] <wrbtrader> correct
[15:17:03] <ksch> yes perfect, this is also a lot less stressful because it's mechanical and simple
[15:17:15] <ksch> very nice
[15:17:40] <ksch> thanks very very much :)
[15:17:51] <wrbtrader> Some say the trade management file is worth more than the trade signals...I guess it really depends on what problem areas that person had within their trading
[15:18:33] <ksch> yes I haven't gone thorugh it in a while, but I do recall that that was one of the concepts presented in it. I think I just forgot about it thoguh
[15:20:01] <ksch> that's excellent, I think I will start to post trades in the chatroom. I am still trying to understand fully what the purpose of a trade journal is when one has their account statement
[15:20:44] <ksch> But I gather that it helps keep you accountable so that you don't start doing fully discretional trades and get out of control. Am I right?
[15:21:46] <ksch> I mena the chatroom acting as a trae journal
[15:21:53] <ksch> trade journal
[15:29:19] <wrbtrader> Fully Discretion = Intuition trading
[15:29:51] <ksch> =very very bad
[15:29:57] <wrbtrader> I still do that sometimes via using my experience as an excuse but I control it via keeping it LESS than 10% of my trading
[15:30:10] <wrbtrader> If I go > 10%
[15:30:23] <wrbtrader> My trading is in trouble...I have more loses
[15:30:36] <ksch> same here
[15:31:14] <ksch> I always think that my intuition can outperform the trade signals, but in practice its not the case :)
[15:31:15] <wrbtrader> In fact, my biggest losing trading days in the past 10 years had occurred when my "intuition trading" was > 25%
[15:32:02] <wrbtrader> The problem is that we get confused and try to use our "trade experience" as an excuse for "intuition trading".
[15:32:13] <ksch> My intuition trading is probably >50%, so no wonder I hover around break even
[15:33:01] <wrbtrader> I guarantee if you can get your "intuition trading" < 10%
[15:33:13] <wrbtrader> You'll see more consistent profits
[15:33:52] <ksch> Yes I really need to get that in check
[15:35:16] <ksch> My main question today was are you using intuition trades, and you definitly set that clear to me :) I guess I didn't see any signals I recognized from some of your trades
[15:36:01] <ksch> For example this signal that you've been recently applying that is performing well again, how many past trades do you test it for?
[15:37:11] <ksch> I mean in general how many trades back do you go before you decide it's a signal that you want to trade on your live account?
[15:45:16] <wrbtrader> 2018...so far...my intuition trading is about 3 % of my overall trading this year
[15:45:36] <wrbtrader> Also, as stated earlier...I'm using a new trade signal in 2018.
[15:45:59] <wrbtrader> Thus, you are not going to recognize it because its NEVER been shared with anyone...
[15:46:02] <wrbtrader> Yet.
[15:46:30] <ksch> Wow, that's really really low. Amazing discipline
[15:47:09] <wrbtrader> I'm schedule to share it towards the end of the year but not sure if I will due to the number of trolls out there spreading false info about TheStrategyLab
[15:47:44] <wrbtrader> Thus, I don't want to take any chances that some of them can get their slimy fingers on the trade signal strategy I've been using in 2018 so far
[15:48:29] <ksch> That's too bad, yes I did read the negative stuff on the ex con that does reviews of trade rooms
[15:50:05] <ksch> But my thoughts were why would someone create such an elaborate scam to make perhaps only a thousand per month or less in selling courses
[15:51:40] <ksch> It's really too bad that some people are so jealous and aren't willing to put in the effort to learn your material
[15:52:39] <ksch> I think your absolutely brilliant btw :)
[15:53:38] <ksch> As most trade strategies I've gone through loose money
[15:58:34] <wrbtrader> I only get 1 - 2 clients per month ever since 2002
[15:59:11] <wrbtrader> Usually one VTR and one Advance Tutorial Chapter 4 client
[15:59:49] <ksch> yes, I counted the number of people on the forum and it's in the hundreds
[16:00:07] <wrbtrader> Together its less than $500 per month
[16:00:51] <wrbtrader> Also, about 30% didn't pay for the VTR at the forum
[16:01:02] <wrbtrader> They got it for FREE due to personally knowing me
[16:01:32] <wrbtrader> Therefore about 70% purchase the VTR
[16:01:47] <wrbtrader> Actually less than that
[16:02:20] <ksch> thought so, yes it's not that much. So I don't understand why some people are like that and why the negative reviews. It's disheartening
[16:02:49] <wrbtrader> I don't mind the negative reviews...that's the nature of social media.
[16:03:13] <wrbtrader> What bothers me is that some of the negativity are by those that had the VTR for FREE :(
[16:03:39] <ksch> hehe, if it were me I'd find it hard. But you wrote some very nice rebuttals. Yes can't believe that
[16:03:49] <wrbtrader> Fortunately, NONE of them posted real time trades, no broker statements and no quantitative statistical analysis.
[16:04:00] <wrbtrader> Thus, no verification
[16:04:29] <wrbtrader> Almost all of them were banned prior to the review for their harassment of other members
[16:04:34] <ksch> very very true, to give something a negative one would have to do a fair evaluation first
[16:04:45] <ksch> terrible
[16:05:03] <wrbtrader> Looks more like "getting back at me" for the bans that left a bad taste for them
[16:05:21] <ksch> hehe, yes probably so
[16:05:42] <wrbtrader> As for the ones outright lying...that's easily fixable by posting my own info to contradict the lies...
[16:05:52] <wrbtrader> Which I've already done back in 2016

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room and we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading and its a flawed substitution for mentoring in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
