##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for you to post your WRB Analysis, post your price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or post your real-time trades (simulator or real money) in a timestamp environment after you've received confirmation from your broker trade execution platform. Simply, the
free chat room is a
trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of
failing at trading.
The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about
your use of
WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) merged with
your trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if you're a
position trader, swing trader, day trader, trend trader or range trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time
price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to
help develop a better understanding of the price action
(market context) they're trading.
##TheStrategyLab Chat Room Review - This is
not a signal calling trading room. This is
not a live trading room...we have no interest in trading rooms where a head trader tells other traders when to buy and sell because the business model for such isn't suitable for helping traders to succeed as independent traders. This chat room is
free and many years ago it was started by users of WRB Analysis as a
trade journal for members to document their own trades. Our job is to
moderate (keep the peace between members) the chat room and to answer any questions involving WRB Analysis. Once again, the
purpose of the free chat room is for you to use as a
trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your thoughts and how you interacted with the markets on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use the chat room...its
highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your
diary to correlate with your broker statements. Thus, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via
your participation in the chat room.
Yet, you're
not require to use the free chat room as a trade journal to get help with your trading. Instead, as recommended by some users of WRB Analysis, you can use professional trade journal services such as tradebench.com, edgewonk.com, tradervue.com, tradingdiarypro.com, stocktickr.com, journalsqrd.com, tradingdiary.pro, mxprofit.com or trademetria.com for
quantitative statistical analysis of their trading
in combo with our
chat room or your
private thread to discuss with us the statistical analysis of your trading so that we can help you to improve your use of WRB Analysis. You can then request a private thread for you to share the professional trade journal analysis of your trading with us for us to review. Therefore, you have many choices. You can use our chat room (you maintain your own statistics) as a trade journal or you can use professional trade journal services to do the work for you.
Also, do
not attempt to use our chat room as a signal calling trade room via trying to mimic (copy) trades posted by members. If you do such, you will be KICKED from the chat room without warning. In fact, most of the negative commentary about TheStrategyLab website is by traders
after we've removed them from the free chat room, removed them from the forum or removed them from the website for violating our
terms of use policy.
Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.
With that said, thanks for
reviewing (reading) the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries
that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding
price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum

http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... 119&t=718'[09:26:20] * Set by wrbtrader on Fri Dec 26 09:39:03 2014
[09:26:20] ##TheStrategyLab url is
http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/[09:29:33] <wrbtrader> Good morning all
[09:31:57] <wrbtrader> I use to do screen sharing with trusted members back then as shown here via an old image I took during the screen sharing when the member ItalianSharp was in the chat room @
http://www.thestrategylab.com/images/11 ... Profit.png[09:32:15] <wrbtrader> There's two other monitors not shown
[09:33:57] <AUTRADER> morning
[09:34:16] <wrbtrader> Hi Autrader
[09:35:03] <AUTRADER> And how does your desktop looks like now?
[09:35:27] <wrbtrader> Almost the same except I don't use QCharts anymore
[09:35:43] <AUTRADER> U trade with the dom to enter a position?
[09:36:00] <wrbtrader> That's been discussed in here about a month back in 2015 why I switch data providers
[09:36:54] <AUTRADER> oh ok
[09:37:11] <AUTRADER> I am taking short on ES
[09:37:21] <AUTRADER> out + 0.75
[09:37:26] <wrbtrader> I don't trade via a DOM but I use to talk to those in the chat room that were dependent on the DOM for their trades
[09:37:36] <AUTRADER> Oh OK
[09:38:06] <AUTRADER> I am messing around trying to use the dom and the order flow to get better timing
[09:38:12] <wrbtrader> That's the reason why the DOM is shown in some of my trade journal documentation like this @
http://www.thestrategylab.com/images/11 ... Profit.png[09:38:32] <AUTRADER> Oh OK
[09:39:20] <wrbtrader> Thus, if someone was talking about their DOM or problems with it...I would pull up my DOM to see what they were talking about the market depth
[09:40:50] <wrbtrader> I use something called the "order pane"...its just a simple trade execution window.
[09:41:03] <AUTRADER> OH OK
[09:41:06] <wrbtrader> I don't trust "market depth" info
[09:41:18] <wrbtrader> Algorithms exploit it
[09:41:26] <AUTRADER> GET IT
[09:42:07] <wrbtrader> What you see in the DOM...most of it is just algorithms.
[09:42:14] <wrbtrader> Not possible to beat that
[09:42:23] <wrbtrader> I don't think
[09:43:04] <AUTRADER> Yes Its very hard
[09:43:07] <wrbtrader> Yet, I do understand that DOM trading may be useful for stock traders but I still wouldn't trust it
[09:46:07] <wrbtrader> Autrader...you use a multiple monitor setup or just one monitor
[09:47:12] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures filled in the Down WRB Hidden GAP interval on the 15min chart
[09:48:57] <wrbtrader> Another warning...don't share your accounts with anyone.
[09:50:13] <wrbtrader> I use a special chat room and forum script that identifies any user name that logs in via an IP address different than their prior IP address in comparison to the prior log-in...
[09:51:16] <wrbtrader> If the log in has an IP Address > 50 miles from the prior IP Address...I put those people on my "no share list" until I can figure out what's going on
[09:51:56] <wrbtrader> That's why its important for people to tell me when they're going on vacation so that I can remove their user name from the script scan list
[09:52:08] <wrbtrader> during the duration of their vacation
[09:53:34] <wrbtrader> Also, I still ban user names that use those services to "rent IP addresses"
[09:54:13] <wrbtrader> The user name silo, rwbil, nqcruiser and markg were doing that.
[09:54:19] <wrbtrader> All are
now
[09:55:14] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures now above the R area of the earlier mention Down WRB HG interval
[09:56:18] <wrbtrader> climbing the range of a Long Upper Shadow interval - 5min chart
[09:57:06] <wrbtrader> Big KME today @ 2:00pm est
[09:57:35] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2576.50 -> large size
[09:57:48] <wrbtrader> scaled in
[09:57:53] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[09:58:16] <wrbtrader> volatility very sneaky today
[09:58:22] <wrbtrader> VIX > 10
[09:58:46] <wrbtrader> Eminis volatility stronger
[09:59:07] <wrbtrader> Eurex DAX volatility stronger than its volatility index too
[09:59:53] <wrbtrader> Emini NQ futures hit the R area of its Down WRB Hidden GAP interval...
[10:00:05] <wrbtrader> now pushing above it - 15min chart
[10:00:32] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:01:22] <wrbtrader> Emini NQ still pushing its volateility
[10:01:30] <wrbtrader> Exited 1/2 Emini ES Long @ 2578.00 --> + 1.5
[10:02:56] <wrbtrader> Exited Remainder Emini ES Long @ 2578.25 --> + 1.75
[10:05:52] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures now having problems pushing above the S area of a another (higher) Down WRB Hidden GAP interval
[10:06:10] <wrbtrader> @ 2578.50
[10:10:05] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2579.50 -> small size
[10:10:09] <wrbtrader>
[10:10:16] <wrbtrader> too slow
[10:10:23] <wrbtrader> missed 2579.00
[10:10:49] <wrbtrader> actually missed 2578.75
[10:10:59] <wrbtrader> too much overanalysis
[10:11:03] <wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[10:11:29] <wrbtrader> volatility showing up again
[10:11:43] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2581.25 --> + 1.75
[10:13:49] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached @ 2582.00
[10:26:05] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures testing the range of a Long Upper Shadow interval
[10:26:15] <wrbtrader> same with Emini NQ
[10:26:34] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2581.25 -> small size
[10:27:17] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[10:30:09] <wrbtrader> not doing much but its trying to move higher
[10:30:19] <wrbtrader> retested the 2582.00 price areea
[10:32:33] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2581.50 --> + 0.25
[10:33:12] <wrbtrader> I thought it would push above the R area of the Long Upper Shadow interval
[10:33:17] <wrbtrader> It didn't
[10:40:32] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures pullback below the R area of its most recent Up WRB Hidden GAP interval
[11:02:14] <wrbtrader> If you're curious about problems with using DOM (market depth) info for trading...there's some decent articles online about how "algorithms" manipulates the info for profit...an advantage that they have over us retail traders.
[11:03:18] <wrbtrader> I started not trusting market depth info back in 2002...it just wasn't reliable...too many games being played and it really was only suitable for people trying to "scalp" the markets
[11:03:55] <wrbtrader> People can place the same traders in their order windows without any influences of the DOM
[11:04:30] <wrbtrader> meant the same trades (not traders) can be place via an order window
[11:06:25] <wrbtrader> volatility has slowed down a little more
[11:17:57] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2581.25 -> small size
[11:18:05] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[11:23:17] <wrbtrader> struggling again @ 2582.00
[11:24:48] <wrbtrader> Exited Emini ES Long @ 2581.75 --> + 0.5
[11:28:22] <wrbtrader> My fills pane window now has garble text
[11:30:50] <wrbtrader> Hoping Emini ES futures will try again to take on the resistance @ 2582.00
[11:52:21] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2582.25 -> small size
[11:52:31] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[11:53:29] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2582.00 -> Add
[11:53:35] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[11:53:45] <wrbtrader> total 2 contracts
[11:54:05] <wrbtrader> rarely do I add to a position
[11:56:44] <wrbtrader> Emini NQ just weaken now
[11:57:48] <wrbtrader> 2017 Emini ES futures has been primarily following other Eminis & Eurex futures...rarely is it a leader
[11:58:24] <wrbtrader> Took me about 4 months of early 2017 to figure that out for the price action of 2017 that has become difficult trading
[12:00:38] <wrbtrader> Emini RTY futures still stable
[12:01:19] <wrbtrader> trying hard to push higher
[12:03:07] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2582.50 --> + 0.75
[12:04:18] <wrbtrader> +0.25 one 1 contract and +0.50 on 1 contract
[12:05:43] <wrbtrader> Not a WRB pt1 exit
[12:06:44] <wrbtrader> I just didn't like that Emini NQ futures was "not" helping to push this higher while Emini RTY futures was helping while all of them were contracting in volatility
[12:07:10] <wrbtrader> Very easy for me to lose my patience and then take that small profit to close the position
[14:15:26] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2583.00 -> small size
[14:15:33] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[14:27:29] <wrbtrader> Exited Emini ES Long @ 2583.50 --> + 0.5
[15:30:25] <wrbtrader> I'm expecting more volatility tomorrow because some places are on holiday via the weekend "Remembrance Day"
[15:30:40] <wrbtrader> Meant...some still on holiday today
[15:32:26] <wrbtrader> A lot of small contracting volatility intervals after 12noon est today
[15:35:24] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2583.50 -> small size
[15:35:36] <wrbtrader> 2 contractes
[15:37:58] <wrbtrader> The retracement occurred a little earlier than expected going into the 4pm est rush hour traffic
[15:39:07] <wrbtrader> Too bad the volatility suddenly stopped as soon as I shorted
[15:39:24] <wrbtrader> first short position of the trading day
[15:43:25] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2582.00 --> + 1.5
[15:45:23] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[15:46:09] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2581.25 -> small size
[15:46:19] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[15:46:40] <wrbtrader>
[15:47:01] <wrbtrader> now I see I made a mistake in the analysis for this trade
[15:47:25] <wrbtrader> I'm looking for a Houdini escape out of this trade
[15:48:27] <wrbtrader> Covered Emini ES Short @ 2581.00 --> + 0.25
[15:52:21] <wrbtrader> Financial markets keeps talking about GE cutting its dividend but I thought GE was no longer a Dow component
[15:52:37] <wrbtrader> Its been the talk since early this morning
[15:59:50] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2583.00 -> small size
[15:59:55] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[16:00:33] <wrbtrader> No big bang to the 4pm est rush hour traffic...just a quiet close
[16:00:58] <wrbtrader> ding ding ding
[16:02:10] <wrbtrader> Exited Emini ES Long @ 2582.25 --> - 0.75
[16:04:28] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2581.75 -> small size
[16:04:35] <wrbtrader> 1 contract
[16:07:45] <wrbtrader> First time in a very long time that I've traded the 4pm est rush hour traffic...
[16:08:04] <wrbtrader> I now see its still problematic (just price noise)
[16:08:07] <wrbtrader>
[16:13:58] <wrbtrader> Covered Emini ES Short @ 2581.75 --> 0
[16:14:14] <wrbtrader> maintenance period
[16:14:23] <wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow

Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room and we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading and its a flawed substitution for mentoring in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.
Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.
In addition, our primary job in the
free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a
spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
