##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for you to post your WRB Analysis, post your price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or post your real-time trades in a timestamp environment...the free chat room is a trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of failing at trading.

The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about your use of WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) merged with your trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab Chat Room Review - This is not a signal calling trading room. We have no interest in trading rooms where a head trader tells other traders when to buy and sell because the business model for such isn't suitable for helping traders to succeed as independent traders. This chat room is free and many years ago it was started by users of WRB Analysis. Our job is to moderate (keep the peace between members) the chat room and to answer any questions involving WRB Analysis. Once again, the purpose of the free chat room is for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your thoughts and how you interacted with the markets on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use the chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Thus, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Yet, you're not require to use the free chat room as a trade journal to get help with your trading. Instead, as recommended by some users of WRB Analysis, you can use professional journal services such as tradervue, edgewonk, tradebench or tradingdiarypro for your statistical analysis in combo with our chat room or your private thread to discuss with us the statistical analysis of your trading so that we can help you to improve your use of WRB Analysis. You can then request a private thread for you to share the professional journal analysis of your trading with us for us to review. Therefore, you have many choices. You can use our chat room (you maintain your own statistics) as a trade journal or you can use professional trade journal services to do the work for you.

Also, do not attempt to use our chat room as a signal calling trade room via trying to mimic (copy) trades posted by members. If you do such, you will be KICKED from the chat room without warning. In fact, most of the negative commentary about TheStrategyLab website is by traders after we've removed them from the free chat room, removed them from the forum or removed them from the website for violating our terms of use policy.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reviewing (reading) the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[09:18:45] * Now talking in ##TheStrategyLab
[09:18:45] * Topic is 'Chat room for traders that are using concepts from WRB Analysis to help improve their entry signals, initial stop/loss management, profitable trail stops or profit targets. WRB Analysis free study guide @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... 119&t=718'
[09:18:45] * Set by wrbtrader on Fri Dec 26 09:39:03 2014
[09:18:45] ##TheStrategyLab url is http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/
[09:20:12] <wrbtrader> Good morning all
[09:25:01] <wrbtrader> Last night I was reading a conversation between a few traders in another online trader chat room
[09:25:39] <wrbtrader> The discussion was about how many traders use their DOM to place trades or use their DOM to make trade decisions ?
[09:26:05] <wrbtrader> I once did a survey about such at my own forum via visitors...
[09:26:45] <wrbtrader> Most traders do not use their DOM to place trades. They just use a simple buy/sell order screen
[09:27:08] <wrbtrader> Also, most traders do not use their DOM to make trade decisions
[09:27:37] <wrbtrader> In comparison, I did a survey the late 80's and late 90's...
[09:27:53] <wrbtrader> It was completely the opposite in the survey
[09:28:19] <wrbtrader> Most traders did use the DOM especially those that called themselves Level 2 traders
[09:28:55] <wrbtrader> Also, most traders use their DOM to make trade decisions even though there was a consensus it wasn't reliable
[09:30:26] <wrbtrader> It was an interesting conversation and quickly showed me the difference in trading beliefs via the difference in generations
[09:31:09] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2385.25 -> large size
[09:31:22] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[09:32:27] <Zetaone> thanks
[09:41:51] <wrbtrader> I dodged a bullet there with my trail stop...market almost pick pocketed me @ 2384.50 after it hit 2383.75
[09:42:21] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2383.00 --> + 2.25
[09:42:30] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 @ 2383.25
[09:42:35] <wrbtrader> got an extra tick
[09:43:44] <wrbtrader> Market breadth has plunged but the Eminis act like the market breath has only declined "a little"
[10:08:56] <wrbtrader> Back to the conversation last night...
[10:11:28] <wrbtrader> One guy name trextrader talked about the flaws of using your DOM...flaws he mentioned I strongly agree with because of the nature we're trading now within a "algorithm controlled environment"...almost 80% or sometimes 90% of trades are executed via algorithms or automation
[10:13:03] <wrbtrader> Thus, if you're making trade signals off of what you see in your DOM such as bid/ask information, price ladders, market depth or some DOM indicator...
[10:13:28] <Zetaone> Agrred. We just cant compete with Algo's excuting orders at micro second speed with a direct vpn connection to the exchanges
[10:13:34] <wrbtrader> A lot of what you see are orders that will soon be cancel
[10:13:54] <wrbtrader> Yes, exactly
[10:14:27] <wrbtrader> I saw algorithm trading systems at a firm in Montreal...
[10:14:34] <wrbtrader> It scared me
[10:14:50] <Zetaone> How many orders did it execute daily?
[10:15:56] <wrbtrader> I watched it for about 1 hour and it executed about 600 trades
[10:16:15] <Zetaone> lol
[10:16:31] <wrbtrader> It had about 900 cancel orders
[10:17:03] <wrbtrader> Its those cancel orders that scared me the most...
[10:17:06] <Zetaone> wow! and that was 1 algo
[10:17:14] <wrbtrader> 3 algos
[10:17:36] <wrbtrader> Run/managed by 5 traders
[10:18:25] <wrbtrader> 4 quants and 1 office manager (former retail trader)
[10:18:49] <Zetaone> I once saw a picture of the old room of thousands of tranding desks - empty now and another picture of three guys around a set of compuers reading newspapers!!!
[10:19:00] <wrbtrader> Someone last night told me that's nothing...
[10:19:27] <wrbtrader> He said algos on wall street would easily do thousands of trades in one hour
[10:19:54] <Zetaone> no doubt
[10:21:13] <wrbtrader> I do know more and more retail traders are designing their own algorithms for small scale trading
[10:21:40] <wrbtrader> I've only met one person that does such although I've seen comments online by much more traders that say they're doing such
[10:23:00] <wrbtrader> 80% of the markets are algo trades...
[10:23:00] <Zetaone> now its the fight amongst Algo's globally. Depends who has the best Quants today
[10:23:11] <wrbtrader> That's a scary reality
[10:23:29] <wrbtrader> Yeah, battles in the markets are mainly between algos...
[10:23:59] <wrbtrader> Us retail folks call in between
[10:24:07] <wrbtrader> call = caught
[10:26:03] <wrbtrader> Some folks say its the algos that's causing all the volatility
[10:26:23] <wrbtrader> If that was true and with algo infesting the market by 80% or more...
[10:26:34] <Zetaone> There is an African saying - When two "institutional traders" fight the grass gets killed
[10:26:40] <wrbtrader> We should see a ton of volatility EVERY trading day ???
[10:27:00] <wrbtrader> Zeataone...I like the saying :)
[10:27:20] <Zetaone> :)
[10:27:46] <wrbtrader> The fact we do NOT see a ton of volatility every trading day and most days are just contraction or price noise...
[10:28:09] <wrbtrader> I would go as far to say that algo's are removing the volatility out of the markets
[10:28:58] <wrbtrader> making markets LESS volatile if stats keep saying more than 80% of trades are algo related
[10:30:25] <wrbtrader> Therefore, until I can find some proof...I'm in the opinion camp that algos cause the markets to contract. Thus, algos hate volatility.
[10:32:15] <Zetaone> Also it depends of their profit objectives. priarily they are in the market for a short duration and profits are small but with large orders
[10:34:10] <wrbtrader> I saw a 450 contract trade yesterday
[10:34:27] <wrbtrader> Someone else said they saw a 700 contract trade
[10:34:46] <wrbtrader> Geeesh...shouldn't there be some kind of a "limit" on the size ???
[10:35:40] <wrbtrader> Order that size...there must of been some earlier agreement with someone(s) to fill such an order
[10:37:21] <wrbtrader> I would faint if I found out there are some "retail" traders out there doing large position size like that :)
[10:39:16] <Zetaone> yess
[10:41:16] <wrbtrader> Someone asked me last night that he heard I NEVER lose any money.
[10:41:18] <wrbtrader> :)
[10:42:03] <wrbtrader> Then I gave him a private link (now public) to info @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/images/09 ... erLoss.png
[10:43:53] <Zetaone> that was a bad day at the office
[10:45:44] <wrbtrader> I have others that are worst...
[10:46:14] <wrbtrader> Today in comparison...I just don't take big losses and hold on to losing trades like I did in the past
[10:46:31] <Zetaone> Nonetheless your track record is impressive
[10:47:04] <wrbtrader> Not right now...still trying to re-adjust to the markets after the hospitalization.
[10:47:33] <wrbtrader> I'm shocked by how much the markets changed during those months in the hospital...
[10:47:38] <wrbtrader> Like a different world now
[10:48:33] <wrbtrader> I think it has to do with more markets reacting to "globalization"
[10:48:50] <wrbtrader> Example...something happens in France...out markets go crazy
[10:49:26] <wrbtrader> Politics now have more impact on the markets reaction
[10:49:31] <wrbtrader> volatility spike right now
[10:49:59] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2381.75 -> large size
[10:50:06] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:50:26] <wrbtrader> just trying to right the tail on this
[10:51:33] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2381.50 --> + 0.25
[10:51:41] <wrbtrader> :(
[10:52:03] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2380.50 -> large size
[10:52:23] <wrbtrader> I got shaken out of the prior trade too easily
[10:52:47] <wrbtrader> There even was no chop
[10:52:58] <wrbtrader> Now there's a little chop
[10:56:36] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2380.00 --> + 0.5
[11:10:25] <wrbtrader> Anybody notice tehe strange price action in Emini NQ/QQQ against the other Emini futures...weird
[11:14:53] <wrbtrader> Maybe its just an "Earnings thingy" today
[11:23:24] <wrbtrader> I saw a funny picture posted online @ https://s9.postimg.org/fbpz6nt7j/Untitled.png
[11:30:43] <Zetaone> funny
[11:32:31] <wrbtrader> Last year I posted a online picture I found of a women trader with her boyfriend...in a sexual position while she traded.
[11:32:43] <wrbtrader> Just wanted to show it works both ways :)
[11:32:55] <wrbtrader> Men traders versus Women traders
[11:37:47] <wrbtrader> A lot of contraction in the Emini futures since that big Down WRB Hidden Gap interval
[11:38:16] <wrbtrader> most of the contraction is near the S area of that Down WRB Hidden Gap interval
[11:39:15] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2380.25 -> small size
[11:39:21] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[11:43:11] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2379.25 --> + 1
[11:46:51] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached (shallow or small WRB)
[11:51:27] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2379.50 -> large size
[11:51:39] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[11:53:26] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2379.00 --> + 0.5
[11:54:55] <wrbtrader> Correlations still bad today...similar to yesterday but overall better than the prior trading days BEFORE Wednesday
[11:55:30] <wrbtrader> Volatility movements a little better in their correlations
[12:01:50] <wrbtrader> Eurex fixed income futures (bonds) going crazy today...straight up
[12:58:55] <wrbtrader> Nice upsurg in the Emini futures

-------------------------

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room and we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
