Price Action Trading (no technical indicators)
Phone: +1 708 572-4885
Free Chat Room: http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164
Business Hours: 8am - 5pm est (Mon - Fri)
##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for you to post your WRB Analysis, post your price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or post your real-time trades in a timestamp environment...the free chat room is a trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of failing at trading.
The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about your use of WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) merged with your trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.
##TheStrategyLab Chat Room Review - This is not a signal calling trading room. We have no interest in trading rooms where a head trader tells other traders when to buy and sell because the business model for such isn't suitable for helping traders to succeed as independent traders. This chat room is free and many years ago it was started by users of WRB Analysis. Our job is to moderate (keep the peace between members) the chat room and to answer any questions involving WRB Analysis. Once again, the purpose of the free chat room is for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your thoughts and how you interacted with the markets on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use the chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Thus, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.
Yet, you're not require to use the free chat room as a trade journal to get help with your trading. Instead, as recommended by some users of WRB Analysis, you can use professional journal services such as tradervue, edgewonk, tradebench or tradingdiarypro for your statistical analysis in combo with our chat room or your private thread to discuss with us the statistical analysis of your trading so that we can help you to improve your use of WRB Analysis. You can then request a private thread for you to share the professional journal analysis of your trading with us for us to review. Therefore, you have many choices. You can use our chat room (you maintain your own statistics) as a trade journal or you can use professional trade journal services to do the work for you.
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.
With that said, thanks for reviewing (reading) the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[09:41:44] * Topic is 'Chat room for traders that are using concepts from WRB Analysis to help improve their entry signals, initial stop/loss management, profitable trail stops or profit targets. WRB Analysis free study guide @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... 119&t=718'

[09:42:40] <wrbtrader> Good morning all
[09:43:05] <wrbtrader> I'm still feeling my way around in the markets since I've returned home from the hospital
[09:43:32] <wrbtrader> I can say that the markets are "different" and more difficult to trade
[09:44:36] <wrbtrader> I've been documenting as much info as I can and it doesn't look good after briefly going thru all the information I have about the price action since October of last year
[09:46:17] <wrbtrader> The main problem is I'm only reviewing "hindsight" chart for Sept, Oct, Nov and early December because I didn't actively start documenting real-time info until the December 6th or something like that
[09:47:11] <wrbtrader> The markets changed around the U.S. Presidential election time and that's real-time data documention I do not have because I was in the hospital at that time
[09:48:05] <Zetaone> Are you seeing changes in the fundamentals?
[09:52:59] <wrbtrader> I see changes in how the price action normally reacts to FOMC announcements and stuff
[09:53:17] <Zetaone> ok thanks
[09:53:18] <wrbtrader> Its not good...volatility is not there like it use to be
[09:53:48] <wrbtrader> When volatility is gone like that...usually it implies LESS investors and LESS traders
[09:54:34] <wrbtrader> By the way, anybody having problems pulling up a chart of Emini TF
[09:54:53] <wrbtrader> I keep getting not valid symbol
[09:55:26] <wrbtrader> looks like I may have to call to find out because that's weird
[09:57:16] <wrbtrader> I've been using IWM as a supplement for about 2 weeks now
[09:57:39] <wrbtrader> Would rather look at the actual futures chart

[09:58:27] <wrbtrader> not good
[10:16:07] <werner1> all

[16:01:14] <wrbtrader> a ton of volatility but strange
[16:01:49] <Tigerman_____> yeah that volatility help us anyway
[16:02:05] <Tigerman_____> curiously we did the same trade wrbtrader
[16:02:25] <Tigerman_____> I exit partial before because scred off
[16:02:36] <wrbtrader> Didn't see that one coming and trade a new strategy that's basically been breakeven so far for this week of trading. Thus, lucky trade because I had no early tipoff on the coming volatility
[16:02:41] <Tigerman_____> simply hang on in trades not easy for me
[16:04:00] <wrbtrader> Tigerman, same here
[16:04:26] <wrbtrader> Retracements has been tougher after a trade goes my way...
[16:04:33] <wrbtrader> Actually, scary
[16:08:24] <Tigerman_____> yeah it is that mental side ..
[16:12:35] <wrbtrader> I gotta study this recent volatility in the last hour because there's clues there that I did not see
[16:13:16] <wrbtrader> I know its Friday and will begin looking at all the Friday hindsight charts going back to late September...
[16:13:44] <Tigerman_____> usually I do not trade in last hour due my local time
[16:13:59] <wrbtrader> I suspect this may be a market where its only suitable to trading the last one hour of the trading session instead of the first one hour of the trading session
[16:14:07] <Tigerman_____> in last months seems more vola vs previous months
[16:14:25] <Tigerman_____> vola in last hour
[16:14:48] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader I also notes BIG volume concentrated in last hour
[16:15:12] <wrbtrader> I just need to figure out what change has occurred because I'm lost trying to get a feel for the volatility
[16:15:29] <Tigerman_____> it will be nice if that became a new ATM like years ago when you traded ER2
[16:16:01] <wrbtrader> My data is all messed up for the Emini TF
[16:16:39] <wrbtrader> I keep getting "not valid symbol" whenever I try to load its charts and it even happen today in my broker platform
[16:16:55] <wrbtrader> Strange that I can't view its charts
[16:17:39] <Tigerman_____> in TStation it is OK
[16:17:59] <wrbtrader> ok
[16:18:42] <Tigerman_____> volatility is very difficult to grasp these days
[16:19:04] <Tigerman_____> simply as soon as a spike show up it is soon retrced
[16:19:15] <wrbtrader> There's very little of it and when it shows up...it comes out of nowhere
[16:19:54] <Tigerman_____> Algos and robot rulez out
[16:20:46] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader... few hard working traders can survive in this enviroment
[16:21:02] <wrbtrader> It seems like the algos and robot are sitting out of the market most of the day...allowing retail traders battle for nothing and then the algo's gets some trigger and enter the market briefly...
[16:21:25] <wrbtrader> Then when you react to that volatility...algo's quickly disappear
[16:21:46] <wrbtrader> often taking your stops with them
[16:22:03] <wrbtrader> Then they go back into "wait mode"
[16:22:17] <wrbtrader> Its a pain in the butt
[16:22:34] <wrbtrader> Sucks to wake up from a coma into these types of market conditions
[16:22:55] <Tigerman_____> yeah it is my every day complain in ES and Us market from some years
[16:23:07] <wrbtrader> Although I do remember us starting to complain a little about the markets BEFORE my illness
[16:23:32] <wrbtrader> Tiger...yeah...exactly
[16:23:35] <Tigerman_____> yeah vola is in downhill from long
[16:24:24] <wrbtrader> I've seen volatility conditions like this last 3 - 5 months
[16:25:02] <wrbtrader> Then it suddenly awakens...lasting 1 - 2 months and then it goes back to
[16:25:33] <Tigerman_____> I have to review HSI charts (hong Kong) seems tight vola there too
[16:26:20] <Tigerman_____> simply we can milk something ONLY when strong pressure show up
[16:26:51] <wrbtrader> Scary part was the January...it was basically dead.
[16:27:03] <wrbtrader> Prior January's were hot months
[16:27:05] <Tigerman_____> just few seconds in 6 hours time in some days
[16:27:35] <wrbtrader> Tigerman, you able to trade HSI markets
[16:28:03] <Tigerman_____> I did long ago
[16:28:13] <wrbtrader> Me too
[16:28:18] <wrbtrader> long time ago
[16:28:30] <wrbtrader> Gotta go...
[16:28:41] <Tigerman_____> ok

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.
Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.
The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room and we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.
Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.
In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
