##TheStrategyLab primary purpose is for you to post your WRB Analysis, post your price action analysis, ask real-time questions about WRB Analysis or post your real-time trades in a timestamp environment...the free chat room is a trade journal of your trading day (thoughts and trades). In fact, if you think the only feedback you need is your broker statements...the free chat room will be a waste of your time and you will increase the odds of failing at trading.

The free chat room is located on the Freenode IRC network along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders that want to talk about your use of WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) merged with your trade methods to improve the performance of their trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the free chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab Chat Room Review - This is not a signal calling trading room. We have no interest in trading rooms where a head trader tells other traders when to buy and sell because the business model for such isn't suitable for helping traders to succeed as independent traders. This chat room is free and many years ago it was started by users of WRB Analysis. Our job is to moderate (keep the peace between members) the chat room and to answer any questions involving WRB Analysis. Once again, the purpose of the free chat room is for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your thoughts and how you interacted with the markets on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use the chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Thus, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Yet, you're not require to use the free chat room as a trade journal to get help with your trading. Instead, as recommended by some users of WRB Analysis, you can use professional journal services such as tradervue, edgewonk, tradebench or tradingdiarypro for your statistical analysis in combo with our chat room or your private thread to discuss with us the statistical analysis of your trading so that we can help you to improve your use of WRB Analysis. You can then request a private thread for you to share the professional journal analysis of your trading with us for us to review. Therefore, you have many choices. You can use our chat room (you maintain your own statistics) as a trade journal or you can use professional trade journal services to do the work for you.

Also, do not attempt to use our chat room as a signal calling trade room via trying to mimic (copy) trades posted by members. If you do such, you will be KICKED from the chat room without warning. In fact, most of the negative commentary about TheStrategyLab website is by traders after we've removed them from the free chat room, removed them from the forum or removed them from the website for violating our terms of use policy.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reviewing (reading) the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[11:42:58] <wrbtrader> Wow...just read the breifing notes by the Judges tha upheld the ruling that the "travel ban" was indeed a "Muslim Ban" and discriminatory
[11:43:29] <wrbtrader> They cited Trumps on words prior to the ban along with video evidence of the statements...
[11:43:43] <wrbtrader> He used the words "Muslim Ban".
[11:44:21] <wrbtrader> Yet after the ban (executive order) he did not use those words nor did the White House press
[11:45:31] <wrbtrader> They said the ban violates something called "Establishiment and Equal Protection Causes"...this is what the federal appeals ruling cited
[11:46:06] <wrbtrader> I don't know what that means but it sounds like something involving civil liberities
[11:47:26] <wrbtrader> It was the 9th Circuit Judges that made the ruling after the White House for a week now has been saying they were extremely confident they would win this week when it goes in front of the circuit judges :(
[11:47:37] <wrbtrader> I didn't know it got the big
[11:48:21] <wrbtrader> I guess now in situations like that it then goes to the "Supreme Court" if the White House choose to challenge the new ruling by the appeals court
[11:48:41] <wrbtrader> Geeehsh...what a waste of tax payer money
[11:49:58] <wrbtrader> I want him to deal with Wall Street and the unfair advantages given to HFT...its killing the volatility in my opinion
[11:50:25] <wrbtrader> If there's terrorist in the U.S....its home grown
[11:54:44] <Tigerman_____> price range bound in QQQ
[11:55:15] <Tigerman_____> testing previous high around 11am
[11:56:48] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader... yeah the low vola is main concern for traders
[11:57:15] <Tigerman_____> as I said many months ago overall volatility is going ti hell
[11:57:42] <Tigerman_____> price action very compressed
[12:11:08] <wrbtrader> There's only a very small volatility window and it "usually" only happens in the first 30mins of the trading session
[12:11:23] <wrbtrader> I remember years ago it was the first 2 hours
[12:11:57] <wrbtrader> Yet, I've watch that window of volatility "slowly" shrink to where it is today market conditions...the first 30 mins.
[12:12:31] <wrbtrader> When I was in the hospital or the last trading day I had to my hospitalization...that window was about 1 hour
[12:13:02] <wrbtrader> After my hospitalization or after the U.S. elections...that window got smaller to about 30 minds
[12:13:12] <wrbtrader> minds = minutes
[12:15:32] <Tigerman_____> yeah very small window
[12:15:48] <Tigerman_____> you miss that .... the trading day is gone
[12:15:58] <Tigerman_____> Lg QQQ 127.38
[12:16:45] <Tigerman_____> also if you got some loss during that small window .... you risk no more opurtunity x that day and no able to recover that day
[12:17:05] <Tigerman_____> not easy to digest
[12:20:15] <wrbtrader> Yep, that's the adjustment...after that small window has gone and passed...
[12:20:28] <wrbtrader> Don't trade unless there's volatility
[12:20:37] <wrbtrader> A lot of people can't do it
[12:21:03] <Tigerman_____> yeah that was my issue
[12:21:16] <wrbtrader> I use to be able to do it consistently...not get myself into situations where I needed that volatility to show up to bail me out of some losses
[12:21:28] <Tigerman_____> forcing trade when vola was gone to recup previous loss
[12:21:53] <wrbtrader> I someone lost that mental edge because of the hospitalization "I think"
[12:22:45] <wrbtrader> I even suggested last year that this year will be the year of a lot of "No Trading" trading days
[12:23:14] <wrbtrader> The volatility last year started before the U.S. elections of having a ton of problems
[12:23:30] <Tigerman_____> exit all QQQ 127.37 -1 tk
[12:23:51] <wrbtrader> Worst...the problems started to become consistent
[12:24:12] <wrbtrader> I briefly reviewed my trading the month before my hospitalization...
[12:24:20] <wrbtrader> It was already on the decline
[12:24:49] <Tigerman_____> at this point I consider an edge "to be able look at chart and no trade"
[12:24:49] <wrbtrader> Less number of trades...smaller size positions and shorter durations per trade
[12:25:15] <Tigerman_____> agreed :)
[12:25:31] <Tigerman_____> it needs great mental control
[12:25:35] <wrbtrader> I was hoping that the Emini TF would save the day
[12:25:43] <Tigerman_____> something is not written on books
[12:25:47] <wrbtrader> Unfortunately it too has volatility problems
[12:26:21] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader.... dax has samme hillness
[12:26:44] <Tigerman_____> plus is nasty fast and shake out very easy
[12:26:44] <wrbtrader> Well...that's another issue...trade other markets that has volatility
[12:27:20] <Tigerman_____> dax overall is better as vola but big spread
[12:27:39] <Tigerman_____> not so liquid
[12:27:52] <Tigerman_____> another beast
[12:28:20] <Tigerman_____> reamains Hong Kong... then retire :)
[12:28:37] <wrbtrader> Me personally...I'm staying small size until volatility returns on a consistent basis.
[12:28:50] <Tigerman_____> seriously it is a steady decline in trading vola and oportunities
[12:28:50] <wrbtrader> I can do that for many years if needed
[12:29:36] <wrbtrader> Thus, I can only trade a few days per month if needed because that's the pattern with the volatility in current conditions...
[12:29:49] <wrbtrader> It shows up a few days per month
[12:30:10] <wrbtrader> Just gotta cross my finger that its not on a day I have a medical appointment
[12:30:31] <Tigerman_____> usually it is that in my cases :(
[12:30:38] <wrbtrader> In the past, not an issue and I can just miss it
[12:31:10] <wrbtrader> Now I have other priorities and the odds are much higher I will miss a decent trading day with good volatility
[12:33:23] <Tigerman_____> Lg Spy 2131.42
[12:34:18] <Tigerman_____> exit 2/3 @ 2131.48 + 6t
[12:35:19] <Tigerman_____> exit 1/3 @ 231.44 +2tk
[12:42:13] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader... it was nice talk with you after so long!!!!!!!!!
[12:42:13] <wrbtrader> To finish what I read about that ban order that I personally feel is impacting the world markets...
[12:44:08] <wrbtrader> The Circuit Judges said the "Justice Department" and "White House" failed to present any EVIDENCE that the listed ban countries had any terrorists that has perpetrated an attack in the United States.
[12:44:29] <wrbtrader> They also mention that the countries that do have them...they are not on the "banned list"
[12:45:14] <wrbtrader> Whom...I know why those other countries were not banned :)
[12:45:27] <wrbtrader> Powerful and oil rich :)
[12:45:40] <wrbtrader> Go ahead U.S.
[12:47:44] <wrbtrader> Another day we have the gap and the markets continue in that same direction but less opportunities (less signals) to follow it
[12:48:33] <wrbtrader> I did only one trade and it was a pain in the butt to hold to the Long side
[12:49:20] <wrbtrader> Normally I would have been shaken out of that trade prior to the elections
[12:49:35] <wrbtrader> That's the other adaptation...
[12:50:10] <wrbtrader> Gotta be willing to hold trades longer or find a way to hold them longer...scary or tough thing to do
[13:06:57] <wrbtrader> Geeesh...just found out that the Circuit Court judges are apointed by the White House
[13:07:25] <wrbtrader> They still got Circuit Court judges that were appointed by Jimmy Carter :)
[13:08:19] <wrbtrader> Man...thats a long time on the job and now I understand why Trump wanted to pass another executive order to limit the terms served by Circuit Court judges
[13:09:30] <wrbtrader> Gessh...Jimmy Carter term...that's like how many years ago ?
[13:13:10] <mtntrader____> Federal judges in the US are appointed to the judgeships for life. The only way to remove them is by impeachment, which is pretty rare. The only way to change the lifetime appointment would be via an amendment to the Constitution, which clearly won't happen. None of that can be done by executive order.
[13:13:33] <wrbtrader> He's trying :(
[13:14:04] <wrbtrader> By the way, Jimmy Carter served as president 1977 - 1981
[13:14:34] <wrbtrader> There are Circuit Judges appointed by the White House when Carter was president
[13:15:27] <wrbtrader> Wow...didn't know they can live that long :)
[13:17:21] <wrbtrader> Volatility showed up in Emini TF but not in Emini ES futures
[13:18:19] <wrbtrader> Sad...if you start taking trades in Emini ES based upon what's occuring in Emini TF...that's when the correlation goes to crap...they stop following each other or they follow in a strange not tradable price movement
[13:19:11] <mtntrader____> Hey, there are a few federal judges still hearing cases who were appointed by Lyndon Johnson.
[13:19:21] <wrbtrader> no way
[13:19:25] <wrbtrader> Oh my god
[13:20:02] <wrbtrader> Trump is in trouble and the markets are too
[13:20:24] <wrbtrader> Meant...the volatility of the markets is in trouble to be more precise
[13:22:18] <mtntrader____> What we really need is a nice 1-2 month sell off with VIX at 17+. I am sure some would hate that, but it would be great for those of use that trade intraday.
[13:22:29] <wrbtrader> That will do it
[13:23:01] <wrbtrader> The only way the VIX can go above 17 is obviously we do see a market sell off of some kind
[13:24:08] <wrbtrader> The markets know that a very LOW VIX and consistently as such is not good for business
[13:24:46] <wrbtrader> Mr. Trump will then get involved because people will begin complaining about Wall Street
[13:25:14] <wrbtrader> Then things will get crazy but I don't see that happening for a very long time
[13:25:30] <mtntrader____> Probably not.
[13:35:53] <Tigerman_____> take care all see next time

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the free chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Quote:
The free chat room is not a signal calling trading room and we do not believe in the business model of a head trader telling other traders when to buy and sell. Its a flawed approach to trading in which a trader can not learn how to be a successful independent trader.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
