##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab Chat Room Review - This is not a signal calling trading room. We have no interest in trading rooms where a head trader tells other traders when to buy and sell. This chat room is free and many years ago it was started by users of WRB Analysis. Our job is to moderate (keep the peace between members) the chat room and to answer any questions involving WRB Analysis. The purpose of the chat room is for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use the chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Thus, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Yet, you're not require to use the free chat room as a trade journal to get help with your trading. Instead, as recommended by some users of WRB Analysis, you can use professional journal services such as tradervue, edgewonk, tradebench or tradingdiarypro for your statistical analysis in combo with our chat room or your private thread to discuss with us the statistical analysis of your trading so that we can help you to improve your use of WRB Analysis. Therefore, you have many choices. You can use our chat room (you maintain your own statistics) as a trade journal or you can use professional trade journal services to do the work for you.

Also, do not attempt to use our chat room as a signal calling trade room via trying to mimic (copy) trades posted by members. If you do such, you will be KICKED from the chat room without warning. In fact, most of the negative commentary about TheStrategyLab website is by traders after we've removed them from the free chat room, removed them from the forum or removed them from the website for violating our terms of use policy.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reviewing (reading) the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[10:59:33] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2183.75 --> + 0.5
[11:59:36] <irza> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 81.5 --> + 0.25
[12:45:35] <Tigerman____> take care all
[14:14:06] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2182.00 -> large size
[14:14:16] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[14:36:08] <irza> still holding?
[14:37:00] <wrbtrader> Yes as usual...looks like its stalled at the most recent reaction low
[14:37:52] <wrbtrader> also found support at an unfilled Up WRB Hidden GAP interva...same interval that gave support for the most recent reaction low
[14:38:30] <irza> never seen u hold through heat b4
[14:38:50] <irza> so was curious
[14:39:27] <wrbtrader> If there's no support...it get hit for 1 - 3 points in here
[14:39:39] <wrbtrader> because the support was too far away
[14:43:13] <wrbtrader> I took a -1.5 hit not too long ago...the support was too far away back on August 3rd Wednesday into the close...support was like -3.25 away and I didn't want to take a hit like that
[14:43:54] <wrbtrader> meant the losing trade was on August 3rd Wednesday into the close
[14:45:12] <irza> oh ok
[14:45:16] <wrbtrader> Today I'm using SPY for these trades to generate my entries into Emini ES futures
[14:46:19] <wrbtrader> WRB Analysis is much easier via SPY when the overall volatility is too low or too slow or too much contraction
[14:46:42] <wrbtrader> Emini ES chart looks like junk when volatility is poor
[14:47:01] <wrbtrader> Price rolled over again
[14:47:16] <mtntrader____> And its looked that way a lot lately. :'-(
[14:47:32] <wrbtrader> retesting that low price of the prior reaction low I mentioned
[14:49:21] <wrbtrader> Yesterday it had some hope...volatility spiked upwards but fell apart after that big KME
[14:49:49] <wrbtrader> I think it spiked into the 13 range and has been southward since then :(
[14:50:10] <wrbtrader> Discouraging to see a 2 point movement like that in a volatility index
[14:50:25] <wrbtrader> Keeps you on the sidelines most of the day
[14:50:37] <wrbtrader> even if you see trade signals
[14:50:39] <irza> at least going long better option than short
[14:51:04] <wrbtrader> I just don't have much faith today into what I'm seeing
[14:51:45] <wrbtrader> Yeah, right now I think there's more risk to the south in comparison to the north
[14:52:00] <wrbtrader> Its just too contracted
[14:52:52] <wrbtrader> Sounds weird but it seems like the markets are trailing the Olympics
[14:53:08] <wrbtrader> Its happen before during a few Olympics
[14:54:57] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2181.25 --> - 0.75
[14:55:57] <wrbtrader> 3rd time its done that...reason why I tighten my trail just above that mentioned reaction low
[14:56:17] <wrbtrader> I can always re-enter if volatility shows up northward
[14:58:42] <wrbtrader> long lower shdow intervals...something is going to spike here soon
[14:58:50] <wrbtrader> Hopefully upwards and not lowered
[15:01:01] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2181.75 -> large size
[15:01:08] <wrbtrader> re-entry
[15:01:30] <wrbtrader> Emini NQ futures trying hard to push out of the contraction
[15:05:44] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2182.75 --> + 1
[15:05:56] <wrbtrader> shallow WRB pt1 reached
[15:06:40] <wrbtrader> Had there been more volatility...I would have held that a little longer to see if it can push upward a little more
[15:07:00] <wrbtrader> That's thepart of real-time analysis that sucks...
[15:07:12] <wrbtrader> It can stall and take you out for a WRB pt1...
[15:07:26] <wrbtrader> Then volatility shows back up to take it to a WRB pt2
[15:08:08] <wrbtrader> The pace of the price action picking up again
[15:10:44] <wrbtrader> Nice breakout of that prior range I was trading inside...without that support mentioned earlier...
[15:10:57] <wrbtrader> I would have never done that re-entry
[15:11:52] <wrbtrader> I was talking to someone a few days ago that trades "pivot points"
[15:12:16] <wrbtrader> I told him they're no different than s/r levels
[15:12:31] <wrbtrader> He responded that most of them do "not work"
[15:12:57] <wrbtrader> He's now trying another type of pivot points although I can't remember their name
[15:13:12] <wrbtrader> He said he backtested them too...they don't work
[15:13:26] <wrbtrader> I asked him to send me a chart example of one that did not work
[15:14:05] <wrbtrader> He bought the entry in Emini ES a tick above the pivot point...
[15:14:42] <wrbtrader> It moves 4.25 higher in his favor and then it retraces all the way back down and takes him out for a loss
[15:15:10] <wrbtrader> He calls those trades as "failed"
[15:15:24] <wrbtrader> :)
[15:16:01] <wrbtrader> I'll take a profitable +4.25 trade and be happy with it...
[15:16:50] <wrbtrader> Strongly doubt I'll sit on it and let it retrace all the way back down and take me out for a loss and call the pivot point a failure
[15:17:26] <wrbtrader> I told him if h'e going to be a daytrader...he needs better trade management
[15:20:11] <wrbtrader> Just remember the name of the pivot points...
[15:20:16] <wrbtrader> Demark Pivot Points
[15:23:41] <mtntrader____> I've heard of those, but never studied them.
[15:31:03] <wrbtrader> He has excellent entries via some of the stuff he asked me to review
[15:31:26] <wrbtrader> yet the exits suck
[15:32:23] <wrbtrader> He could go from 32% win rate to 74% win rate just by changing his goals of WRB pt3 to a WRB pt2
[15:32:37] <wrbtrader> higher winners changing from WRB pt2 to WRB pt1
[15:33:20] <wrbtrader> I think some of us want "home run" trades too many times
[15:33:23] <mtntrader____> You're right, it all comes down to trade management.
[15:33:56] <wrbtrader> Understandable because "Home Run" trades minimizes the fees and costs of trading
[15:55:10] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2183.00 -> large size
[15:55:21] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[15:59:31] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2184.00 --> + 1
[16:00:01] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[16:02:36] <mtntrader____> See you all tomorrow.
[16:05:56] <wrbtrader> Not much to trade toda...walked away with a little profit
[16:06:46] <wrbtrader> missed a few signals today due to resting my right arm
[16:06:55] <wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow
[16:48:52] <wrbtrader> irza...see private message for my reply to your question

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
