##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post your real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab Chat Room Review - This is not a signal calling trading room. We have no interest in trading rooms where a head trader tells other traders when to buy and sell. This chat room is free and many years ago it was started by users of WRB Analysis. Our job is to moderate (keep the peace between members) the chat room and to answer any questions involving WRB Analysis. The purpose of the chat room is for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use the chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Thus, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Yet, you're not require to use the free chat room as a trade journal to get help with your trading. Instead, as recommended by some users of WRB Analysis, you can use professional journal services such as tradervue, edgewonk, tradebench or tradingdiarypro for your statistical analysis in combo with our chat room or your private thread to discuss with us the statistical analysis of your trading so that we can help you to improve your use of WRB Analysis. Therefore, you have many choices. You can use our chat room (you maintain your own statistics) as a trade journal or you can use professional trade journal services to do the work for you.

Also, do not attempt to use our chat room as a signal calling trade room via trying to mimic (copy) trades posted by members. If you do such, you will be KICKED from the chat room without warning. In fact, most of the negative commentary about TheStrategyLab website is by traders we've removed from the free chat room, the forum or website for violating our terms of use policy.

The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reviewing (reading) the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[09:34:01] * Topic is 'Chat room for traders that are using concepts from WRB Analysis to help improve their entry signals, initial stop/loss management, profitable trail stops or profit targets. WRB Analysis free study guide @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... 119&t=718'
[09:34:01] * Set by wrbtrader on Fri Dec 26 09:39:03 2014
[09:34:03] ##TheStrategyLab url is http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/
[09:35:02] <wrbtrader> Crazy moves for the first 2 hours in the Eurex and Euronext futures when they open overnight
[09:35:13] <wrbtrader> Big up and down swings
[09:44:39] <irza> gm
[09:45:56] <wrbtrader> Good morning
[09:47:31] <wrbtrader> Another low volatility trading range out of the gate...
[09:47:36] <wrbtrader> Unbelievable
[09:48:10] <wrbtrader> Record number of investors have pulled out of the markets in the past few months since 2008
[09:48:29] <wrbtrader> I wouldn't be surprise if record number of "traders" did the same
[09:49:18] <wrbtrader> I was talking to a friend (a broker) and he states their firm accounts are down 14%...most in 5 years
[09:50:00] <wrbtrader> Also, record number of funds pulled out of the trading accounts and their "inactive accounts" are up 42%
[09:50:20] <wrbtrader> Summary...people hate the markets right now :)
[09:50:38] <wrbtrader> Ironic...the darn thing keeps going higher...crazy and suspicious
[09:58:16] <wrbtrader> We have three members of the chat room that told me in the winter they wouldn't be here for most of the summer
[09:58:22] <wrbtrader> They kept their word :)
[09:58:48] <wrbtrader> Two recently stated this is the worst price action they've ever seen in recent past few years...
[09:59:02] <irza> next week should be better
[09:59:04] <wrbtrader> I've seen worst and many blowups during it too
[09:59:12] <irza> as apple, amzn, goog, and Fb reporting earnings
[09:59:17] <wrbtrader> Agree
[09:59:54] <irza> do u know Jason Love?
[10:00:00] <irza> from OTG
[10:00:42] <wrbtrader> I don't have a good memory of names but I do have a good memory of online user names...
[10:01:00] <wrbtrader> I don't remember a Jason Love but I do remember several "Jason's"
[10:01:16] <irza> trades mostly crude oil
[10:01:47] <wrbtrader> Is he a "signal caller" or just an "educator"
[10:01:50] <wrbtrader> ?
[10:02:10] <irza> i think both
[10:02:26] <irza> curious as i wanted to study CL
[10:02:39] <irza> since ES pa has been worsening
[10:02:56] <irza> so wondering if u know him or have any opinions
[10:03:05] <wrbtrader> I only recommend trading CL futures prior to the 0930am est regular session of the U.S. stock market
[10:03:20] <irza> so 9am EST open for CL
[10:03:22] <irza> until 10am?
[10:03:30] <wrbtrader> same with EuroFX 6E futures
[10:03:44] <wrbtrader> I wouldn't trade them after 0930am est
[10:03:50] <irza> k
[10:03:52] <wrbtrader> a lot more difficult
[10:06:05] <wrbtrader> Someone else I knew that traded CL was losing miserably in trading it after 0930am est
[10:06:26] <wrbtrader> I told him to do the stats to see if I was right...
[10:06:29] <wrbtrader> He would not
[10:06:49] <wrbtrader> Then when he reach the point of having lost too much money...
[10:07:04] <irza> too late
[10:07:13] <wrbtrader> He decided to trade CL futures prior to 0930am est...actually...prior to 0900am est
[10:07:17] <wrbtrader> It was too late
[10:07:33] <wrbtrader> Now he's over at the Moore guy blog bitching :)
[10:08:07] <irza> oh that guy
[10:09:29] <wrbtrader> The real issue is when price action becomes difficult like what we've currently seen the past month...
[10:09:52] <wrbtrader> We gotta adapt and that may include changing our time of day for trading or changing trading instruments
[10:10:03] <irza> ya was only good from June 24-27
[10:10:09] <irza> after that if we miss that
[10:10:13] <irza> is game over to most of us
[10:10:14] <irza> lol
[10:10:14] <wrbtrader> or even stop trading for a few days or weeks until volatility returns
[10:10:38] <wrbtrader> Yeah...that's another issue about this dead volatility...
[10:10:55] <wrbtrader> Volatility will show up for a few minutes and then disappear
[10:11:08] <irza> ya like yesterday
[10:11:11] <irza> around lucnh
[10:11:16] <irza> caught most by surprise
[10:11:19] <irza> missed and is over
[10:11:34] <irza> unless swing trading
[10:11:39] <wrbtrader> If we miss those few minutes for reasons like being on the toilet, eating, taking a phone call or fooling around with the girlfriend...
[10:11:48] <irza> lol
[10:11:58] <wrbtrader> We may have missed our only opportunity at being profitable for the trading day
[10:12:05] <irza> yep
[10:12:57] <wrbtrader> That's why I've been contemplating taking the summer sessions off from trading for the past 3 years...
[10:13:20] <wrbtrader> This year is the worst and may be what I need to kick me in the butt to not trade next summer
[10:13:32] <irza> how did u do yesterday?
[10:13:37] <irza> green overall?
[10:13:40] <wrbtrader> Just travel and hang out with the kids...be a bum
[10:14:10] <irza> that's always a good option
[10:14:35] <wrbtrader> Yesterday I barely made a profit after commissions and fees to go to my favorite sushi place
[10:14:49] <wrbtrader> :)
[10:15:12] <irza> with the family, that's at least $200
[10:15:14] <irza> for sushi
[10:15:17] <irza> lol
[10:15:56] <wrbtrader> I don't go to the fancy places...
[10:16:18] <irza> u go to all u can eat sushi?
[10:16:22] <irza> cuz sushi is not cheap
[10:16:24] <irza> lol
[10:16:29] <wrbtrader> :)
[10:17:16] <wrbtrader> A fancy place will cost me about $120 for the family
[10:17:25] <irza> family of 4?
[10:17:30] <wrbtrader> cheap place about $50 for the family
[10:18:31] <irza> by cheap, probably food court, hehe
[10:19:04] <wrbtrader> Its just a small family own business I go to...
[10:19:18] <wrbtrader> Not sure how they stay in business...never busy in their
[10:20:23] <irza> do u use trade vue?
[10:20:44] <wrbtrader> I use to
[10:21:12] <wrbtrader> I highly recommend it but...
[10:21:19] <wrbtrader> There's always a but...
[10:21:45] <irza> what's the but
[10:22:18] <wrbtrader> I wasn't able to document the personal aspects of my trading day that impacts my trading considering I do trade from home (e.g. audio, pictures and video)
[10:22:48] <wrbtrader> Thus, I needed something more than just a analytical trade journal full of statistics...
[10:23:09] <wrbtrader> I needed something that also qualify as a "diary" like a real personal diary
[10:23:19] <wrbtrader> very private
[10:23:26] <irza> i see
[10:23:33] <irza> think i know what you mean
[10:23:47] <wrbtrader> I'm heavy into the psychology of trading
[10:24:18] <wrbtrader> If I get a disturbing phone call from a friend that upsets me and impacts my trading day after the call...
[10:24:36] <wrbtrader> I want to be able to discuss that in my professinal journal
[10:25:07] <wrbtrader> Simply, statistics are meaningless to me if there's no reasons being the stats
[10:25:43] <wrbtrader> For example...my worst trading days have all occurred AFTER a death of a love one
[10:26:01] <wrbtrader> If I can't document something like that in a journal...
[10:26:15] <irza> i see
[10:26:15] <wrbtrader> Nobody will understand the connection if they read the journal
[10:27:18] <wrbtrader> Yet, for those that don't believe our personal lives impact our trading and they only want statistics...
[10:27:32] <wrbtrader> Tradevue is on my top 3 list
[10:28:28] <irza> who is the other 2 in your list
[10:28:46] <wrbtrader> tradingdiarypro and tradebench
[10:29:13] <wrbtrader> Some clients post their statistics with their brokerage statements via those programs in their private threads
[10:29:25] <wrbtrader> That's how I became familiar with those programs
[10:29:38] <irza> oh ok, thanks will look them up
[10:32:46] <wrbtrader> What you want is something that you can create custom "tags" sort'uv speak
[10:33:10] <wrbtrader> Like if you do a trade and you "tag" it as WRB Zone R area trade...
[10:33:48] <wrbtrader> You create a tag for that and then you can compare your trading results against another tag like "WRB Zone S area" trade
[10:34:07] <wrbtrader> Or custom tages base on specific trade signal
[10:34:30] <wrbtrader> like "Low Volatility W bottom"
[10:34:53] <irza> Long Emini ES @ 61
[10:35:01] <wrbtrader> I've seen some programs that have these default tags that seem useless to me like "Breakout"
[10:35:19] <irza> yea excel best way to go
[10:35:32] <wrbtrader> I can think of 50 different types of breakouts and grouping them all under "breakout" is meaningless to me
[10:35:51] <irza> surprised u didn't take this breakout from 61
[10:35:54] <irza> maybe due to the low vix
[10:37:09] <wrbtrader> Tradevue allows you to drag images to the program...earlier version did not
[10:37:58] <wrbtrader> I wasn't able to drag a complete screen image of my monitor unless I downsided the image
[10:38:07] <wrbtrader> I don't use traditional monitors
[10:38:18] <wrbtrader> I trade with three large HD TV screens
[10:38:46] <wrbtrader> Images are big and I was spending too much time editing to make them uploadable
[10:39:45] <wrbtrader> You can't upload audio files
[10:40:08] <wrbtrader> I heard you can now but I can't confirm that
[10:45:35] <wrbtrader> Google boasts quantum computing breakthrough with first display of real-world use (IBT) @ http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/google-boasts- ... se-1571823
[10:46:44] <wrbtrader> Quantum Computing is a big topic for me...we'll problably be dead or sitting in a old people retirement home hearing about traders or algorithms using it 20 to 40 years from now
[10:47:09] <wrbtrader> unless they've bee withhelding info and will be ready in about 10 years
[10:48:39] <wrbtrader> First uses will be pharmaceuticals, medicine, military, security/encryption, university and then soon after that...
[10:48:44] <wrbtrader> Financial Markets
[10:51:56] <irza> exiting at 64 if price permits
[10:52:06] <irza> stop to entry
[10:55:44] <irza> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 64 --> + 3
[10:55:47] <irza> done for the day
[10:56:02] <TradeSnake______> Nice one iza!
[10:56:07] <irza> tx
[11:19:51] <wrbtrader> Take care irza
[11:20:22] <wrbtrader> nice patience on that trade with volatility declining
[11:20:37] <irza> yea thanks
[15:52:51] <wrbtrader> No trades for me today...resting my arm today after some problems yesterday while trading and I didn't like the initial price action today (contracted and low volatility)
[15:53:00] <wrbtrader> To prevent an understanding...
[15:53:16] <wrbtrader> Whenever you see me use the words "low volatility".
[15:54:09] <wrbtrader> I'm talking about the lack of WRB Hidden GAP intervals, unusual number a small contracted intervals
[15:54:39] <wrbtrader> In contrast...sometimes I'll make reference to the volatility changes in the VIX
[15:54:55] <wrbtrader> In such situations, I will use the name VIX
[15:55:30] <wrbtrader> Thus, sometimes the VIX can be low volatility but the Eminis are producing WRB Hidden GAP intervals...
[15:55:55] <wrbtrader> That's a contrast that I've very careful to trade...most likely via lower position size
[16:00:59] <mtntrader____> Uneventful day. Have a good weekend everyone.
[16:09:33] <wrbtrader> mtntrader...any trades today for you ?
[16:19:54] <wrbtrader> Take care all, have anice weekend and see all on Monday
[16:21:48] <wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Chat room for day traders, swing traders, position traders using concepts from WRB Analysis such as contracting volatility, key market event (KME), reaction high/low, WRB, WRB Hidden GAP, WRB Zone, WRB pt levels to help improve understanding of the price action their trading and/or improve the performance of their trade signal strategies while price action trading. ##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.
