##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[10:02:42] <Tigerman____> eurusd and pound sink
[10:04:44] <wrbtrader> Yeah...EurUsd having problems but the good thing is that its producing some nice looking Down WRB Hidden GAP intervals

[10:19:34] <Tigerman____> stall here after a good downmove
[10:19:47] <Tigerman____> I used 2min chart
[10:20:18] <wrbtrader> I've consistently hear that most Forex traders are losing
[10:20:26] <wrbtrader> like around 95%
[10:20:37] <Tigerman____> yeah not only forex
[10:20:51] <wrbtrader> Yet, Interactive Brokers recently publish a report that +40% are actually profitable
[10:21:04] <Tigerman____> regardless forex is advertized as a Atm machine
[10:21:57] <wrbtrader> Granted it doesn't get into the detail of the profitability but its still an interesting number +40%
[10:22:42] <Tigerman____> yeah my idea is 40% or others profitable is just a snapshot of one particulat time window
[10:22:57] <wrbtrader> Its a one year window I think
[10:23:18] <wrbtrader> I'll post a link.
[10:23:35] <Tigerman____> interesting is : what about next year with the SAME traders ?
[10:23:59] <wrbtrader> That's the thing about these gross numbers...
[10:24:03] <Tigerman____> I mean you can have 40% profitable but can be New people
[10:24:04] <wrbtrader> There's no detail behind them
[10:24:24] <wrbtrader> Thus, we don't know what that 40% represents
[10:24:44] <wrbtrader> I mean...someone with a $100 dollar account and makes 10 bucks...
[10:24:53] <wrbtrader> Is he/she listed in those numbers ?

[11:00:22] <wrbtrader> strongly agree
[11:02:27] <Cayden> 52.75 is a RTH open gap from May23
[11:04:06] <Tigerman____> I need a down spike here
[11:09:58] <mtntrader____> I am so pleased to see some volatility and range come back into the market. These past few weeks have been painful to trade.
[11:12:01] <wrbtrader> Yeah and once again...it takes a global KME like the Brexit vote to shake things up although there was other reasons elsewhere
[11:16:01] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2056.50 -> large size
[11:16:08] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[11:16:15] <wrbtrader> crappy entry
[11:16:37] <wrbtrader> Should have been Short (no fill) @ 2058.00
[11:16:44] <wrbtrader> too late in getting in an order
[11:19:55] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2055.00 --> + 1.5
[11:20:01] <wrbtrader> early exit
[11:20:06] <wrbtrader> not a WRB pt1
[11:20:25] <wrbtrader> Had I gotten a fill @ 2058.00
[11:20:40] <wrbtrader> The 2055.00 would have been a WRB pt1
[11:34:41] <werner> Shorts Emini NQ @ 4389.25
[11:36:05] <werner> Covered all Emini NQ Short @ 4393.00 --> - 3.75

[11:46:20] <Tigerman____> Take care all see next time
[13:08:46] <wrbtrader> Another normal mid-day contraction in the Emini futures
[13:10:59] <wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis for price action trading to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX 6E Futures, Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40, BUND), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, HO, QM), Gold GC Futures, Natural Gas NG Futures, Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Hang Seng HSI Futures, NIFTY Futures, Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) and other key market price actions.
[13:11:37] <wrbtrader> volatility incrseasing
[13:24:23] <wrbtrader> Hi t4n
[13:30:37] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2059.25 -> small size
[13:30:42] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[13:33:44] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2060.50 --> - 1.25
[13:34:35] <wrbtrader> volatility is so contracted...there were no clues on how to minimize that loss
[13:35:07] <wrbtrader> simply, just a random exit instead of letting it run higher to my - 4 point stop
[13:45:14] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2060.00 -> small size
[13:45:22] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[13:45:26] <wrbtrader> re-entry
[13:46:13] <wrbtrader> pullback after the price action briefly retested a big Down WRB Hidden GAP interval of 1309pm est
[13:54:03] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[13:54:24] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2058.50 --> + 1.5
[14:16:58] <wrbtrader> Emini TF futures retraced back up to its most recent reaction high
[14:17:06] <wrbtrader> 1140.00
[14:19:40] <Cayden> yep
[14:19:57] <Cayden> ES just did too
[14:21:24] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2061.50 -> small size
[14:21:35] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[14:22:12] <wrbtrader> That's my 2nd Long position of the trading day
[14:24:00] <Cayden> c if it can stay above 2060.25- i have a reason to think there could be buyers there
[14:25:04] <Cayden> i would imagine that there are the typical shorts entering at the reaction high - c if they get stuck
[14:25:30] <wrbtrader> If you scan back to the price area of the reaction high around 1335pm est...
[14:25:37] <wrbtrader> via the 2min chart
[14:25:43] <wrbtrader> menat 1336pm est
[14:25:48] <Cayden> its simply odd to watch heavey selling and price move up
[14:26:14] <wrbtrader> Several contracting intervals showed up soon afterwards and then a Down WRB Hidden GAP interval appeared
[14:26:53] <wrbtrader> Those contracting volatility intervals have their own Resistance and Support areas
[14:27:10] <wrbtrader> That's currently were Emini ES futures is stuck inside
[14:27:46] <wrbtrader> R area @ 2061.75 and S area @ 2059.50
[14:28:08] <wrbtrader> my current stop is @ the S area
[14:28:47] <wrbtrader> I will soon move it up to get my max loss down to -1 point
[14:30:01] <wrbtrader> Usually I don't have time to explain such in the middle of a trade but once in awhile I'll make the effort to do such
[14:31:07] <mtntrader____> Thanks
[14:31:19] <TradeSnake______> Thank you much appreciated!
[14:31:59] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached (trail stop adjusted to -1 point)
[14:32:15] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2062.25 --> + 0.75
[14:32:27] <wrbtrader> That's the part people don't understand...
[14:32:45] <wrbtrader> If my trail stop is at -1 point...why the hell did I dump the trade ?
[14:33:13] <wrbtrader> That's part of my consistency...
[14:33:23] <wrbtrader> I don't like to see my stops hit
[14:33:36] <TradeSnake______> Contacting volatility?
[14:33:43] <wrbtrader> Yes
[14:34:00] <wrbtrader> I think there's enough information to prevent a profitable trade from becoming a losing trade
[14:34:22] <wrbtrader> Yeah, sometimes I'm wrong and it can move higher
[14:34:42] <wrbtrader> That's when you'll sometimes see me do those "re-entries"
[14:35:18] <wrbtrader> The volatility started drying up when that WRB pt1 was reached
[14:35:52] <wrbtrader> I started getting an itchy finger and dumped the trade knowing I can always re-enter the trade if my exit was too early
[14:36:49] <wrbtrader> Thus, anytime I see contracting volatility after a WRB level is reached...my FEAR level increases and I'm looking for an exit
[14:37:11] <wrbtrader> Here's another question (answer)...
[14:37:22] <wrbtrader> Contracting volatility requires a minimum of 3 intervals
[14:37:52] <wrbtrader> Yet, I dumped it prior to 3 intervals and I was scared by the contraction...how is that possible ?
[14:38:21] <wrbtrader> It was the location of where that WRB pt1 occurred...
[14:38:38] <TradeSnake______> Price stall at a prior level?
[14:38:55] <wrbtrader> Inside the range of that big Down WRB Hidden GAP interval of 1310pm est 2min chart
[14:39:02] <wrbtrader> TradeSnake...exactly
[14:39:24] <wrbtrader> It stalled after reaching the R area of that Down WRB Hidden GAP interval
[14:39:44] <TradeSnake______> Slowly but surely i'm getting this... :)
[14:39:57] <wrbtrader> :)
[14:41:11] <Cayden> buyers put up a significant fight there but just were snaped at 11:36:51- price is just back above that spot @ 2060.25- that number is getting familiar
[14:42:25] <mtntrader____> Yeah Snake, there are a lot of nuances to this method.
[14:43:12] <Cayden> I like the LONG argument here-with 2060.25 as the line
[14:45:05] <wrbtrader> mtntrader...very true
[14:45:31] <wrbtrader> There's a lot of stuff I can not stuff inside the study guides that's already filled with a lot of info
[14:45:58] <wrbtrader> That's one of the purpose for the chat rooms...kind'uv discuss things in real-time as they are occurring or just happen
[14:47:30] <wrbtrader> Such as the infamous 4pm est rush hour traffic trading session
[14:47:42] <wrbtrader> Nothing about that back at the forum
[14:47:49] <wrbtrader> It's only discussed here in the chat room
[14:48:11] <wrbtrader> Reason is because it lost its edge and it only applied to Emini TF futures
[14:48:36] <mtntrader____> I've picked up a lot from being in this room and paying attention during the day.
[14:48:58] <Cayden> so buyers at 2 to 1 at 11:47.07-
[14:49:21] <wrbtrader> As soon as CME sold TF to ICE back in 2008...I stopped talking about the 4pm est rush hour traffic until I notice Emini ES started showing some strange behaviors around 4pm est that reminded me about Emini TF
[14:49:58] <wrbtrader> I've traded Emini ES futures this year arouond 4pm est more than I have since in the past years put together
[14:52:42] <wrbtrader> I just hope this volatility (VIX) can stay above 20 because the next global event can quickly produce volatility like what we saw in January
[14:54:34] <Cayden> all that fight and energy for the upside and look at us now- Ha!
[14:55:03] <Cayden> looks like we are in for some more down side
[14:55:40] <wrbtrader> I hope its a strong push down and not some slow creeper movement downward
[14:56:11] <wrbtrader> Thus, I want to see some Down WRB Hidden GAP intervals
[14:57:30] <Cayden> well- it could be since it has been a bunch of CV in this 10 point range from after the first hour of cash open
[14:58:40] <Cayden> Buyers Tail Alley just under 55.75- it could start to heat up there
[15:00:42] <Cayden> http://screencast.com/t/MZRPF9pJ6
[15:02:05] <Cayden> so here again- a lot of famous buying-
[15:02:21] <Cayden> but price is going down
[15:04:55] <wrbtrader> snapback attempt back upwards but its not fast enough to show signs that algos are involved
[15:06:17] <TradeSnake______> Maybe now..
[15:06:27] <Cayden> 2060.75 could be resistance
[15:10:36] <Cayden> struggling to continue here-
[15:12:22] <Cayden> 2060.25 again- now I like the short
[15:16:01] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2063.50 -> large size
[15:16:08] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[15:16:59] <wrbtrader> volatility is growing...worth increasing from 5 contracts to 10 contracts (slow on the entry)
[15:18:03] <wrbtrader> 2065 area was a target if the volatility can continue to that price area
[15:18:56] <wrbtrader> Emini TF futures inside the range of a Down WRB Hidden GAP interval 1min chart that was involved as a key reaction high
[15:19:48] <wrbtrader> looks like my slow entry is costing me some wiggle room to stay in this trade
[15:22:14] <Cayden> above 2065 and theres a little room- say the guy who seconds ago would have shorted.
[15:23:09] <wrbtrader> It tried
[15:24:23] <wrbtrader> itchy fingers...my FEAR level is growing
[15:24:45] <Cayden> if it has a short term memeory- it thinks its trending up- so a move above 66 could bring in some buyers behind a stop sweep
[15:25:32] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2063.25 --> - 0.25
[15:25:42] <Cayden> nasty damn price actio
[15:26:54] <Cayden> its not hard to imagine both buyers and sellers on the wrong side right now- Ha!
[15:27:52] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2064.00 -> large size
[15:28:00] <wrbtrader> 20 contracts
[15:28:37] <wrbtrader> I need to be careful of an algo snapback
[15:29:01] <wrbtrader> especially if this can't get above 2065.00
[15:29:06] <Cayden> bottom of the hour in 2 minutes
[15:30:35] <Cayden> there the move
[15:31:04] <wrbtrader> sluggish move
[15:31:29] <wrbtrader> Exited 1/2 Emini ES Long @ 2065.00 --> + 1
[15:32:47] <Cayden> it convinces me it will break- and it fades-
[15:33:19] <wrbtrader> more contractiong...
[15:33:25] <wrbtrader> tightning trail stop
[15:33:33] <wrbtrader> its going to pop...up or down
[15:33:50] <Cayden> yep- maybe you get a EOD ramp
[15:35:02] <Cayden> got to think the stops are done- just need to finish the seel at the high of range guys
[15:36:32] <Cayden> wrbtrader- do you tend to bias to the short side witht the VIX uo here?
[15:36:54] <wrbtrader> No
[15:38:48] <wrbtrader> Exited Remainder Emini ES Long @ 2064.00 --> 0
[15:38:58] <wrbtrader> punks
[15:39:37] <wrbtrader> Felt like my name was on that trade with a big bullseye on it :(
[15:39:48] <Cayden> lets just see- top of range sellers thinking they are on the right side- lets just see-
[15:41:02] <Cayden> Its the ole' failed 'reverse' volitility breakout trick- Maxwell Smart
[15:44:05] <werner> Long Emini NQ @ 4415.75
[15:45:01] <wrbtrader> I hate those types of pick pockets and then it suddenly turns around and goes higher...
[15:45:21] <wrbtrader> Feels like I was at a poker table and everybody could see my hand
[15:45:53] <wrbtrader> algo snapback down
[15:46:07] <werner> Exited all Emini NQ Long @ 4416.00 --> + 0.25
[15:46:12] <werner> :(
[15:46:26] <Cayden> it just keeps doing this same chit- past 40 minutes
[15:47:28] <Cayden> now we wre showing lower highs
[15:47:44] <Cayden> 2 minute chart ES
[15:48:54] <werner> Shorts Emini NQ @ 4413.75
[15:48:55] <wrbtrader> Sometimes it seems like a few guys at the CME got drunk or sipping out of some mini bottle hidden in their jacket and then they say..."lets fuck with them" and they start pushing buttons
[15:49:10] <wrbtrader> :)
[15:49:20] <Cayden> LOL
[15:49:27] <mtntrader____> Ha ha!
[15:50:04] <werner> Covered all Emini NQ Short @ 4411.00 --> + 2.75
[15:50:18] <werner> wrb pt1
[15:50:52] <Cayden> they should give you a 2 for 1 bonus werner
[15:51:16] <werner> lol
[15:53:17] <Cayden> have to flip the mind- when it looks like the sellers are advancing its time to buy
[15:53:40] <Cayden> like right now- sellers have the cards- so time to buy
[15:53:47] <werner> done ...gn all
[15:54:03] <Cayden> L8TR
[15:54:41] <Cayden> gonna miss rush hour
[15:54:53] <wrbtrader> Hopefully that snapback didn't kill the rush hour
[15:55:33] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2065.25 -> small size
[15:55:40] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[15:56:13] <wrbtrader> not sure if this trade can survive 5mins away from 4pm est
[15:56:55] <Cayden> I smell a good move- something on the heels of thae V bottom followed by that nasty triple 3-4 point CV action
[15:57:48] <Cayden> hopefully the buyers have a quota and ran out of time
[15:58:47] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[15:58:57] <wrbtrader> trailing @ profit
[16:00:26] <Cayden> at least it becoming an orderly move now
[16:05:20] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2066.25 --> + 1
[16:05:42] <Cayden> you deserve a 2 for 1 deal too
[16:05:57] <wrbtrader> stop was @ 2066 but I dumped it a tick earlier
[16:06:18] <wrbtrader> It lost too much of its volatility
[16:06:28] <wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow
[16:06:40] <mtntrader____> Take care all. See you tomorrow.

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.
