##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[10:02:56] <wrbtrader> 20 contracts
[10:03:36] <wrbtrader> There's that increasing speed again...
[10:03:51] <wrbtrader> If it retraces, it quickly kills the trade
[10:04:06] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:04:44] <wrbtrader> so far no snapback attempt back up
[10:05:38] <Tigerman_____> yeah fluid sell off
[10:08:28] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1939.50 --> + 7.25
[10:08:36] <wrbtrader> early exit
[10:09:00] <wrbtrader> Goal was a WRB pt2 or more deeper down into the regular session gap
[10:10:48] <wrbtrader> Usually when I catch a big WRB pt1 like that...
[10:11:09] <wrbtrader> I tend to easily get spooked out from holding to catch a WRB pt2
[10:12:02] <wrbtrader> Had it not been a big gap like that...I most likely would have stayed in the trade a little longer
[10:32:03] <wrbtrader> Markets overall a little confusing
[10:32:20] <wrbtrader> Forex EurUsd and Forex GbpUsd going opposite directions
[10:32:28] <Tigerman_____> yeah that mean stay away x me
[10:33:16] <wrbtrader> With all the China chaos stuff this week...I wouldn't be surprise if price action today is just all over the place
[10:33:26] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader... and all when you scale down a position your platform modify your hard stop according with your modify on remainder ?
[10:33:52] <wrbtrader> It can but I don't use that feature
[10:34:14] <wrbtrader> I manually (discretion) decide on my position size
[10:34:19] <wrbtrader> Its very personal
[10:34:43] <Tigerman_____> ok because I have the issue I have 10pz the exit 5pz... my stop stay 10pz
[10:34:47] <wrbtrader> Not sure if you notice but a few days ago I was doing a lot of 5 contract small size position trades...
[10:35:31] <wrbtrader> Only because I had a huge migrane headach
[10:35:44] <Tigerman_____> so when price move fast before I can modify my stop... I have my position closed and another one open with 5 pz :(
[10:35:59] <wrbtrader> I just wasn't in the mode to push a big size position
[10:36:07] <Tigerman_____> when price hit my stop
[10:36:35] <Tigerman_____> simply I need check this auto-modify remainder on IB
[10:36:42] <Tigerman_____> I hope it exist
[10:36:42] <wrbtrader> I always have a -4 point emergency stop set automatically on entry
[10:37:02] <wrbtrader> Yet, as soon as I'm in the trade...I began adjusting that stop
[10:37:30] <Tigerman_____> yeah my issue is when I scale out my original stop size need to be modified
[10:37:48] <wrbtrader> The other day (I think my first trade of the day)...I had a trade go -3 points against me in a few eye blinks.
[10:37:50] <Tigerman_____> also I have another issue...
[10:38:05] <Tigerman_____> I tend to trade fast and add positions
[10:38:06] <wrbtrader> I marketed out and it came close to hitting that emergency stop of -4 points
[10:38:30] <wrbtrader> I think that was the fastest moving trade I've had in a few years
[10:38:37] <Tigerman_____> simply sometimes some old order remain in platform before I cancel them :(
[10:39:05] <Tigerman_____> x example I had a big size on ES..
[10:39:22] <Tigerman_____> a good trade as short trade
[10:39:47] <wrbtrader> Eminis in a tough spot right now
[10:39:59] <Tigerman_____> the a older limit buy order was hit before I can delete it
[10:40:02] <wrbtrader> Emini TF making new intraday regular session lows
[10:40:17] <wrbtrader> Emini ES trying to decide if it will do the same
[10:40:31] <wrbtrader> after just making a Down WRB HG interval
[10:41:16] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1938.25 -> small size
[10:41:22] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[10:45:02] <wrbtrader> Emini ES bouncing around now
[10:45:36] <wrbtrader> shallow WRB pt1 reached
[10:45:49] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1937.25 --> + 1
[10:48:07] <wrbtrader> snapback Up...may have put in a support area
[10:48:40] <wrbtrader> inside the range of my Short signal for the prior trade
[10:51:59] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1940.50 -> large size
[10:52:06] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:52:58] <wrbtrader> a lot of pause in this area now :(
[10:55:09] <wrbtrader> retesting that support area now
[10:55:41] <wrbtrader> in reference to Emini ES
[10:55:46] <wrbtrader> now below the S area
[10:56:30] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1938.25 --> + 2.25
[10:56:50] <wrbtrader> trail stop pick pocketed
[11:01:02] <wrbtrader> Emini ES trying to use that support area again
[11:03:59] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures has been ranging since for about 30 minutes now
[11:13:17] <wrbtrader> Emini ES now in trouble
[11:14:02] <wrbtrader> This is where those pain in the butt algo snapbacks like to show up
[11:15:55] <Tigerman_____> sh es 1934.75 med sz
[11:17:50] <Tigerman_____> exit all 34.75 :(
[11:18:09] <Tigerman_____> price not push lower
[11:18:49] <Tigerman_____> sh 34.50
[11:19:17] <Tigerman_____> exit 2/3 34.25
[11:19:48] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1934.25 -> small size
[11:19:57] <wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[11:20:32] <Tigerman_____> exit all 34 +2tk
[11:21:35] <wrbtrader> poor entry...getting lucky so far
[11:24:33] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1934.00 --> + 0.25
[11:26:19] <Tigerman_____> clearly in this case price not reached a wrbpt1 for you wrbtrader
[11:26:41] <wrbtrader> It tried until that little snapback showed up :(
[11:26:54] <Tigerman_____> yeah this happen to me a lot
[11:27:10] <wrbtrader> I didn't have any "wiggle room" to stay in that trade on any snapback attempt
[11:27:13] <Tigerman_____> usually I exit early by fear to miss my small profit
[11:27:31] <wrbtrader> Should have been short around 1935.25
[11:27:51] <Tigerman_____> in contrast not waiting enought cause me miss good wrb pt1 when such occurs
[11:28:16] <Tigerman_____> I shorted around 34.50
[11:28:44] <Tigerman_____> but exited too early :(
[11:29:02] <Tigerman_____> simply I want preserve my today profit
[11:29:09] <Tigerman_____> and not ruin my weekend
[11:29:11] <Tigerman_____> :)
[11:29:40] <Tigerman_____> simply face this continue tension not easy for human being
[11:30:06] <Tigerman_____> there is more then trade signals only :)
[11:32:48] <SengE> wrbtrader, If you don't mind, what are your criteria for exiting at wrbpt1 vs. holding for a wrbpt2? If not the forum for this Q, no worries.
[11:37:09] <wrbtrader> nothing to do now at these low prices :(
[11:37:33] <wrbtrader> [11:32:48] <SengE> wrbtrader, If you don't mind, what are your criteria for exiting at wrbpt1 vs. holding for a wrbpt2? If not the forum for this Q, no worries.
[11:37:37] <wrbtrader> volatility
[11:37:56] <wrbtrader> I don't determine until AFTER entry
[11:38:19] <wrbtrader> Thus, if volatility shows up prior to the price reaching a WRB pt1 but close to a WRB pt1...
[11:38:42] <wrbtrader> I'll stay in the trade for a WRB pt2 and so on until the volatility dries up
[11:39:33] <wrbtrader> Simply, if volatility is slowing down after I reach a WRB pt1...I'm looking to exit the trade
[11:42:05] <Tigerman_____> wrbtrader... about volatility to say volatility increase do you need 4 intervals at minimum?
[11:42:26] <wrbtrader> no
[11:42:30] <Tigerman_____> in reference chapter 1
[11:42:53] <wrbtrader> You need to know why its doing what its doing
[11:43:12] <wrbtrader> If there's a KME involved...I'll most likely hang around beyond a WRB pt1
[11:43:36] <Tigerman_____> ah ok
[11:43:37] <wrbtrader> No KME...I'm looking at the volatility change and the speed of the price action
[11:44:12] <wrbtrader> The speed of the price action is something new lately I've been discussing in here
[11:44:20] <Tigerman_____> ok this for exiting
[11:44:22] <wrbtrader> Its obvious its not retail trading
[11:44:26] <wrbtrader> Its algo trading
[11:44:42] <wrbtrader> That type of speed is too fast...retail traders impossible to do
[11:45:29] <wrbtrader> That's the milleseconds or microseconds price action movement (thousands of trades in less than a minute)
[11:45:32] <platform115> surprised ES is in a total dead zone. I thought the China news would still be pushing price somewhere
[11:45:41] <Senge____> Understood. Thanks. Many wrbpt1s are followed by a quick retracement, which results in a loss if one decides to hold.
[11:45:58] <wrbtrader> That's where trail stops comes into play
[11:46:18] <Senge____> Ahhh
[11:46:20] <wrbtrader> If something reaches a WRB pt1...gotta trail it at least a tick or two profit
[11:46:42] <wrbtrader> Gotta pay for the trade if retracement shows up in comparison to moving your stop to breakeven
[11:47:03] <wrbtrader> Breakeven trail stop is really a loss because of the cost of the trade
[11:47:11] <Tigerman_____> what I m refer is .... when you say " volatility increasing " do you need minimum analyze 4 intervals right?
[11:47:46] <Tigerman_____> general analysis not about exits
[11:48:06] <Tigerman_____> 3 CV + 1 expanding
[11:48:11] <Senge____> Yep, still I give up profit on the wrbpt1 if I'm wrong (greedy) and decide to hold for a wrbpt2 or more.
[11:51:51] <Tigerman_____> 45 <wrbtrader> That's the milleseconds or microseconds price action movement (thousands of trades in less than a minute) wrbtrader... do you think this trades occurs mostly on dark pools or others hidden exchange ?
[11:52:29] <Tigerman_____> I mean usually this trades are NOT seens
[11:53:18] <Tigerman_____> anothers BIG issue is on stocks,ETf and son on
[11:53:39] <Tigerman_____> liquidity is gone before one can enter in a trade :(
[11:54:22] <Tigerman_____> it is a little better on Future market
[11:55:03] <Tigerman_____> also wrbtrader Dax I know is your prefered instrument but now is VERY illiquid
[11:55:26] <Tigerman_____> I mean difficult assorb 3 contract !!!!!!!!
[11:56:00] <Tigerman_____> unless one like 10/15 ticks spread :)
[11:58:03] <wrbtrader> [11:51:51] <Tigerman_____> 45 <wrbtrader> That's the milleseconds or microseconds price action movement (thousands of trades in less than a minute) wrbtrader... do you think this trades occurs mostly on dark pools or others hidden exchange ?
[11:58:53] <wrbtrader> I really don't know but when I see that type of unusual speed...its algos and more algos following and fighting each other
[11:59:23] <wrbtrader> Us retail traders stuck between the algos fighting each other
[12:00:08] <wrbtrader> Nice retracement now to get the price action back up and setup possible trades in comparison to the lows where there was no WRB Zones
[12:01:25] <Tigerman_____> yeah agreed on algos fight my question is Why usually when HFT algo do 1000 or more trades in 1 sec, not trace on that in T&S
[12:02:10] <Tigerman_____> in contrast I see a lot of order modify at many levels in the Book
[12:02:33] <Tigerman_____> but few actual trades and with smal !!!!!!!!!! size
[12:03:17] <Tigerman_____> regardless is very interesting analyze the speed of movements
[12:14:55] <wrbtrader> Algos also work small size trades
[12:15:56] <wrbtrader> They are always in the market but when algos for many different firms are together...that's when that speed in the price action shows up...very unusual speed and those sudden snapback price actions with similar like speed
[12:16:18] <wrbtrader> I think a lot of people think when we see big size...its algos
[12:16:25] <wrbtrader> That's a mistake
[12:16:34] <wrbtrader> Algos do 1 contract trades
[12:16:47] <wrbtrader> They just do a lot of them and very fast
[12:17:04] <wrbtrader> Simply, you can't look at the size of the trades to determine algos
[12:17:42] <wrbtrader> There's also more retail traders doing algorithms
[12:17:44] <wrbtrader> trading\
[12:17:55] <patrader> ES price approaching the price area of the prior down WRB HG 5min chart
[12:18:06] <wrbtrader> Yet they are mainly just small trades
[12:18:17] <wrbtrader> 1 contract to 5 contracts
[12:19:05] <wrbtrader> Eminis have now return back to the price area prior to that big down fall

If you're in here and NOT talking about WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, key market events, swing point price actions, strong continuation price actions, WRB Zones...you are not properly using this chat room. Also, you risk being permanently BANNED (no exceptions) if you consistently log into ##TheStrategyLab and you do not discuss anything related to the WRB Analysis free study guide.

-------------------------

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
