##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[11:08:02] <Tigerman___> price action now
[11:08:22] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[11:08:46] <jpan> holding for new lows now
[11:09:00] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2051.50 --> + 2.75
[11:09:12] <jpan> always go with PA lol
[11:09:54] <wrbtrader> That was a tough trade...
[11:10:01] <wrbtrader> Here's why
[11:10:08] <jpan> it was, cause ES started off slowly
[11:10:16] <jpan> then it accelerates
[11:10:44] <wrbtrader> How we have our charts setup on our monitors will often determine what our analysis is going to be.
[11:11:07] <wrbtrader> For example, one of my charts had about two hours worth of data...
[11:11:50] <wrbtrader> That price action analysis is completely different via the exact same interval on a different chart that contains 2 days worth of data
[11:12:00] <wrbtrader> In fact, the log scale changed dramatically
[11:12:16] <jpan> yea, but i guess its what its most obvious to the most traders, such as 1,5min
[11:12:25] <Tigerman___> yeah absolutly
[11:12:28] <jpan> afterall, were trading humans lol
[11:12:38] <wrbtrader> There's a word for it I remember some institutional guys calling that
[11:13:24] <wrbtrader> Simply, we need to always have the BIG picture up on the screen and be very careful about analysis of a small duration of time (e.g. 2 hours of data versus 1 - 3 days worth of data)
[11:13:41] <jpan> taht why i hate pivot S/Rs, always bounces and catch most trend traderes off guard
[11:15:08] <wrbtrader> Hopefully all paying attention to the VIX lately...
[11:15:12] <wrbtrader> Its moving higher
[11:15:18] <Tigerman___> yes right
[11:15:24] <Tigerman___> sh Es 51
[11:15:47] <wrbtrader> That with the WRB HG intervals being less retraced or taking longer time to retrace them = good trade opportunities
[11:16:08] <wrbtrader> In contrast, when the VIX drops into the 13 area and below...
[11:17:04] <jpan> break faster pls =P
[11:17:11] <wrbtrader> Most traders freak out...trade losses increases when they should just take a peek at the "poor volatility" to tell themselves to stay on the sidelines more until better trading conditions return (like yesterday and today)
[11:17:17] <Tigerman___> exit 1/2 50.50 +2t
[11:19:37] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1185.10 -> small size
[11:19:51] <wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[11:20:21] <jpan> 49 out 2
[11:20:25] <jpan> holding 3 left
[11:20:26] <wrbtrader> shallow WRB pt1 reached
[11:20:28] <Tigerman___> exit all rem at 2049.25
[11:20:51] <Tigerman___> +9tks
[11:21:31] <Tigerman___> I can say loud every time I distract myself a bit I get better results :)
[11:22:07] <Tigerman___> that is due to less pressure iat looking every single tick yp/down
[11:22:29] <Tigerman___> cause me be fearfull too much
[11:22:45] <Tigerman___> and prevent me exit a decent target
[11:23:16] <Tigerman___> this is true when more money is on the table
[11:23:57] <Tigerman___> about the VIX... yeah wrbtrader when is higher and trendy my results is better :)
[11:24:43] <Tigerman___> simply afer this year beginning the Vix decreased cause difficult trade
[11:25:25] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1186.40 --> - 1.3
[11:25:35] <Tigerman___> I hope for Vix higher till end of the year so permit to reach my trading goals
[11:26:38] <jpan> 54.5 out
[11:29:22] <wrbtrader> Tigerman...never happens that way
[11:29:26] <wrbtrader> :(
[11:30:13] <wrbtrader> VIX in low volatility will only produce 2 - 3 decent trading days per month
[11:30:53] <wrbtrader> For the VIX to stay above 17 until the end of the year...
[11:31:02] <jpan> 53s
[11:31:10] <jpan> medium
[11:31:32] <wrbtrader> We'll need a disaster in the global financial markets or something so incrediable...most of the world will benefit from the KME
[11:32:03] <wrbtrader> If we can get 5 good trading days per month (about 1 week per month)...
[11:32:17] <wrbtrader> I'm very happy with such because everything else is a struggle
[11:33:10] <wrbtrader> Its the only reason the past two days I've been pushing some size on my initial trades
[11:36:18] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1185.30 -> small size
[11:36:24] <wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[11:36:29] <wrbtrader> re-entry
[11:38:10] * ChanServ sets mode: +o wrbtrader
[11:38:30] <@wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis for price action trading to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX 6E Futures, Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40, BUND), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, HO, QM), Gold GC Futures, Natural Gas NG Futures, Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Hang Seng HSI Futures, NIFTY Futures, Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) and other key market price actions.
[11:38:36] <jpan> mini h&s on ES, should break
[11:38:54] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1185.60 --> - 0.3
[11:38:55] <jpan> 55.75 stop
[11:41:00] <Tigerman___> [17:31] <wrbtrader> We'll need a disaster in the global financial markets or something so incrediable...most of the world will benefit from the KME wrbtrader can you explain better your reason for that ?
[11:41:18] <TradeSnake______> Short YM @ 17100
[11:41:30] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1185.60 -> small size
[11:41:36] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[11:41:45] <@wrbtrader> 2+1 contracts
[11:41:46] <Tigerman___> do you think difficult VIX can rise too high because the QE via FED BCE ?
[11:42:16] <Tigerman___> I mean VIX was higher in 2007-8-9 11
[11:42:58] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1186.60 --> - 1
[11:43:14] <jpan> make it or brek it here
[11:43:22] <jpan> either itll trap longs or shorts
[11:43:32] <Tigerman___> and nothing disastrous in economy
[11:44:08] <Tigerman___> I mean disastrous but it was well know by everyone in financial world
[11:44:18] <Tigerman___> like now it is same
[11:44:49] <Tigerman___> chine is in bubble and average working class not high salary
[11:45:09] <Tigerman___> in contrast high bebt in any country
[11:46:07] <jpan> 51.5s stop entry
[11:46:21] <Tigerman___> so I m curious why you think a surge in VIX level is difficult to occu
[11:46:56] <@wrbtrader> History repeats...high VIX doesn't last
[11:47:16] <@wrbtrader> Enjoy the few times per month :)
[11:47:21] <Tigerman___> unless you simply wanna say just a bit higher in VIX is welcome without call x another global crisis :)
[11:47:47] <Tigerman___> ah yes I know too well that :)
[11:47:58] <jpan> 53.5 stop
[11:48:24] <@wrbtrader> Simply, the odds of a high VIX lasting for the remainder of the year is extremly low.
[11:48:54] <Tigerman___> ah yes agreed
[11:49:05] <jpan> out
[11:49:49] <Tigerman___> just some higher level then a fall then a rise a bit is welcome x me :)
[11:50:31] <Tigerman___> unless someone waik up and point out some issue and start another crisis :)
[11:51:30] <@wrbtrader> The Dotcom bubble years and the 2008 - 2010 global crisis years were the only times I remember a long enduring high VIX
[11:51:42] <jpan> 51.75s
[11:51:52] <@wrbtrader> Extremely unusual market conditions
[11:52:28] <@wrbtrader> Early 90's was the worst
[11:52:49] <@wrbtrader> Hardly anything moved
[11:53:45] <Tigerman___> yeah from 92 to 96
[11:54:11] <Tigerman___> I have my Vix chart open right now
[11:54:21] <Tigerman___> the long term chart
[11:54:49] <Tigerman___> at this point how you trade it that dry paint stuff wrbtrader?
[11:55:04] <Tigerman___> did you trade in those years
[11:55:53] <Tigerman___> from 96 to 2004 seems good as VIX in contrast
[11:55:53] <@wrbtrader> Yep...its was dead back then
[11:56:00] <@wrbtrader> I saw the most blowups then
[11:56:11] <@wrbtrader> in %
[11:56:22] <@wrbtrader> Most traders when they see a lot of volatility...\
[11:56:37] <@wrbtrader> It scares them...they trade less. Less blowups
[11:56:50] <@wrbtrader> In contrast, its the low volatility stuff that tricks traders.
[11:57:01] <TradeSnake______> Flat YM @ 17107 --> -7
[11:57:11] <@wrbtrader> They see that calmness, boring, slow moving price action...
[11:57:16] <@wrbtrader> They can't resist it
[11:57:21] <@wrbtrader> They trade it
[11:57:38] <@wrbtrader> That's when the blowups catch them
[11:58:20] <Tigerman___> yeah not moving price are deadly
[12:00:18] <Tigerman___> I can say volatility is like the wind x the sailor
[12:02:03] <Tigerman___> now VIX is flat so we know what to do :)
[12:02:20] <Tigerman___> intrady chart
[12:04:55] <@wrbtrader> Tigerman...you'll be surprise at how many traders ignore the conversations about the VIX
[12:05:26] <jpan> 52s add
[12:06:23] <Tigerman___> yes many thanks for the good work to remaind the VIX talk
[12:07:35] <Tigerman___> now I try to exit my tradestation but got some issue in save my precious drawing zone on charts :(
[12:08:09] <Tigerman___> simple program say cannot save the chart with my annotation :(
[12:13:38] <Tigerman___> ok solved
[12:13:54] <Tigerman___> take care all see next time
[12:15:42] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1186.10 -> small size
[12:15:58] <@wrbtrader> 1+1+1 contracts
[12:16:01] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[12:16:17] <jpan> 50.5 out light
[12:16:27] <jpan> 4 left
[12:20:04] <jpan> 51 out 2

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
