##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[09:56:51] <wrbtrader> I've been experimenting with "adds" lately when I think I have the direction correct but the price action is too choppy to get a good entry on the initial trade entry

[09:57:27] <mtntrader> That one worked out well.

[10:04:54] <wrbtrader> If you look at the Emini futures and you can't "feel" to PRESSURE downwards...you really need more trade experience with the futures
[10:05:54] <wrbtrader> As stated yesterday...the only good thing about yesterday's crappy low volatility trading range even though it push downwards at the end...
[10:06:08] <wrbtrader> It setup a high probability chance for a trend day today
[10:06:16] <wrbtrader> So far...so good
[10:06:26] <wrbtrader> Hope it doesn't start contracting soon

[10:35:54] <@wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis for price action trading to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX 6E Futures, Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40, BUND), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, HO, QM), Gold GC Futures, Natural Gas NG Futures, Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Hang Seng HSI Futures, NIFTY Futures, Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) and other key market price actions.
[10:35:55] <Tigerman__> simply I cannot trust it anymore
[10:36:16] <Tigerman__> ok for chit chat but not for trading
[10:37:12] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...gotta get that fix
[10:37:49] <@wrbtrader> On summer I was trading the entire summer from the condo via a laptop with one attached screen.
[10:38:20] <Tigerman__> yet simply this PC works ok most of the time run smooth from many weeks now
[10:38:21] <@wrbtrader> The laptop (Toshiba) kept overheating and then would just shut off.
[10:38:42] <Tigerman__> I suspect some memory issue
[10:38:49] <@wrbtrader> I finally took it back to the store and got my money back
[10:39:12] <@wrbtrader> Tigerman...can you upgrade your memory ?
[10:39:43] <Tigerman__> yes I can ...but not sure if it is only that
[10:40:10] <@wrbtrader> Take it to a tech shop and tell them the problem
[10:40:25] <@wrbtrader> Maybe there's a flaw or something that just needs an upgrade
[10:41:13] <Tigerman__> seems more some components over-heat
[10:41:38] <Tigerman__> tech store bearby not such a skilled guys
[10:42:15] <Tigerman__> anyway I planned to build myself a new one also for video edit
[10:43:10] <Tigerman__> very powerfull , using different HD x different tasks
[10:43:54] <bilskro> overheat usually fan issue. they sell blowers you can rest your laptop on. Mine did that. 1st clean the vents
[10:44:19] <Tigerman__> wrbtrader... do you still interested in dark room ?
[10:45:25] <Tigerman__> [16:44] <bilskro> overheat usually fan issue. they sell blowers you can rest your laptop on. Mine did that. 1st clean the vents yeah that is also a solution
[10:45:56] <@wrbtrader> I had blower...clean vents on a brand new laptop
[10:46:13] <bilskro> then a lemon or bad design.
[10:46:21] <@wrbtrader> When I say overheat...I don't mean just warm...it wa burning HOT
[10:46:23] <@wrbtrader> :)
[10:46:30] <bilskro> maybe CPU fan not working properly
[10:46:48] <@wrbtrader> There was a big write up about the Toshiba laptops...
[10:46:50] <bilskro> there is a programn that can show cpu temp
[10:46:55] <Tigerman__> yeh I usually not like laptop
[10:47:16] <@wrbtrader> They never did a "recall" but they did recommend to take it back and get a refund...they honor all refunds.
[10:47:26] <@wrbtrader> Yet, they kept selling the darn thing :(
[10:47:48] <Tigerman__> I like more desktop solutions
[10:48:07] <Tigerman__> more powerfull and customable and cheaper
[10:48:21] <Tigerman__> of course not good to travel :)
[10:48:47] <Tigerman__> in contrast I like tablet
[10:49:17] <Tigerman__> but I not dare trade via tablet
[10:49:31] <@wrbtrader> Its coming soon...trading via a tablet
[10:50:16] <Tigerman__> yeah.. but too small
[10:50:27] <@wrbtrader> I we need is just one broker completely invested in such vi their trade execution platform (tablet trading)...
[10:50:31] <@wrbtrader> The rest will follow
[10:50:36] <Tigerman__> no space for oreder entry chart and so on
[10:51:07] <Tigerman__> maybe ok x swing or position trade
[10:51:30] <Tigerman__> I cant figure out using that x fast intraday trading
[10:52:21] <Tigerman__> anyway tech grow every year so any new thing is welcomed :)
[10:53:22] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1218.30 -> small size
[10:53:28] <@wrbtrader> 1+2 contracts
[10:57:59] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:58:20] <@wrbtrader> Covered 1/3 Emini TF Short @ 1216.40 --> + 1.9
[10:59:35] <@wrbtrader> Covered 1/3 Emini TF Short @ 1216.10 --> + 2.2
[11:00:31] <@wrbtrader> Covered Remainder Emini TF Short @ 1215.60 --> + 2.7
[11:02:05] <@wrbtrader> I'm always amazed at one trading day is dramatically different than the next day.
[11:02:45] <@wrbtrader> Yesterday I had like 4 consecutive losing trades before I was able to right the ship...today its the complete opposite.
[11:03:11] <@wrbtrader> Yet, I'm going to prevent losing today's profits via calling it quits early to guarantee its a profitable day
[11:04:18] <Tigerman__> [17:03] <@wrbtrader> Yesterday I had like 4 consecutive losing trades before I was able to right the ship...today its the complete opposite. my problem is to be profitable after a losing strike
[11:05:36] <Tigerman__> I mean if one have 4 lose of 1 point ... need more then 4 point runner only to gain 0 cincluding commissions
[11:06:03] <Tigerman__> a 4 point runner not easy to catch theses days
[11:06:40] <Tigerman__> of course you can have 2 gain of point
[11:07:02] <Tigerman__> I mean 2 profitable trades with 2 points gain each one
[11:07:57] <Tigerman__> for me " the secret" is the ability to understand when exit fast and when give more room and catch a first wrb pt1 target
[11:08:19] <Tigerman__> as exit fast I mean exit with a very small loss
[11:08:31] <Tigerman__> what is you point wrbtrader ?
[11:08:43] <@wrbtrader> Its psychological...always will be
[11:09:01] <@wrbtrader> Most traders will cave in after consecutive losing trades
[11:09:38] <@wrbtrader> I'm lucky...I strongly believe if I can have consecutive losing trades...I can also have consecutive winning trades
[11:09:46] <@wrbtrader> Maybe not in the same trading day but soon
[11:10:14] <@wrbtrader> Trading scare is probably one of the most difficult things to overcome
[11:10:33] <@wrbtrader> It happens every day to me at some point in 1 - 2 trades
[11:10:41] <@wrbtrader> You see me talk about it often...FEAR
[11:10:47] <@wrbtrader> scared out of a trade
[11:10:58] <@wrbtrader> staying on the sidelines
[11:11:13] <@wrbtrader> These are all situations involving my FEAR
[11:11:39] <@wrbtrader> It will always be there...we just need to find a way to "manage it"
[11:12:09] <Tigerman__> yeah mental side is very important
[11:12:16] <@wrbtrader> Some folks try to manage it via rules like..."must stop trading after 3 losers"
[11:12:19] <@wrbtrader> stuff like that
[11:12:30] <@wrbtrader> I don't do that
[11:12:54] <@wrbtrader> I try to apply "sports concepts" to trading
[11:12:59] <@wrbtrader> For example...
[11:13:09] <@wrbtrader> It ain't over until the fat lady sings"
[11:13:11] <@wrbtrader> :)
[11:15:15] <@wrbtrader> You gotta have that belief that when its working...let it run
[11:15:34] <@wrbtrader> Just the same, when its not working...keep the losers small
[11:16:20] <mtntrader> Yes, but it takes confidence to do that. Still building confidence here.
[11:16:57] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1215.80 -> small size
[11:17:03] <@wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[11:18:13] <@wrbtrader> The pschological aspects of trading is very similar to the psychological aspects of playing a competitive individual (single player) sport
[11:18:57] <@wrbtrader> If you've done that prior to trading...you'll have a better understanding and management of the "confidence"
[11:19:48] <@wrbtrader> You know if the confidence isn't there...you increase the chances for bad performance
[11:20:19] <mtntrader> I totally agree.
[11:20:47] <@wrbtrader> more contraction showing up in the Emini futures
[11:20:55] <Tigerman__> [17:12] <@wrbtrader> Some folks try to manage it via rules like..."must stop trading after 3 losers" I think a not a good idea simply that prevent us to catch the good trade that makes us recup and close the day in gain
[11:21:09] <@wrbtrader> Its ok just as long as it moves directional (up or down)
[11:21:42] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[11:22:31] <Tigerman__> [17:18] <@wrbtrader> The pschological aspects of trading is very similar to the psychological aspects of playing a competitive individual (single player) sport yeah totally agrre here
[11:22:36] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1213.30 --> + 2.5
[11:23:49] <Tigerman__> simply we need fix our personal issue before think trading expecially with large size
[11:39:30] <@wrbtrader> I took me 3 years before I did any position size increase...
[11:40:00] <@wrbtrader> It was a huge wall for me...psychologically unbreakable at that time
[11:40:54] <Tigerman__> yeah not easy be comfortable when size increased
[11:41:25] <Tigerman__> infact I m morfe relaxed when using small position or etf vs ES TF
[11:41:56] <@wrbtrader> Lets put it this way, if you start sweating, increasing heart rate, increasing blood pressure, headaches after increasing your position size...
[11:42:07] <@wrbtrader> Its time to go back to your prior position size level
[11:42:08] <Tigerman__> in contrast seems tha flash trader from londo was not so scared about size :)
[11:42:11] <@wrbtrader> ;)
[11:43:23] <Corner> wrb - did anyone you know fix the psychological issue via letting the computer do the job?
[11:43:26] <Tigerman__> yeah expecially if you became see strange fly ghost or legendary people inside you room :)
[11:45:30] <@wrbtrader> I know a few automated traders...they have just as much FEAR as we do but are able to better manage it
[11:46:09] <Corner> losing money is losing money...
[11:46:39] <Tigerman__> my first goal is to be profitable
[11:46:58] <Corner> But maybe you can avoid mistakes caused by psychological issues...
[11:48:10] <Tigerman__> I mean to be profitable is very difficult
[11:48:36] <Tigerman__> when that goal is reached is good :)
[11:50:12] <Corner> wrb - would you say, that your skill has increased constantsly over the years?
[11:50:55] <@wrbtrader> Corner...yeah...in automation you can avoid mistakes but it also opens the door way for other issues (problems) that a discretionary trader doesn't have
[11:51:06] <Tigerman__> so when one have costant result then is easier increase size
[11:51:26] <Corner> It's all about confidence...
[11:52:40] <Tigerman__> in contrast you can be confident but not feel good with size increase
[11:56:19] <Tigerman__> also some contracts not permit size increase
[11:56:26] <Tigerman__> Dax x example
[11:56:43] <Tigerman__> too illiquid and nasty fast
[11:57:28] <Tigerman__> at this point we have decide less volatility but more contracts
[11:57:39] <Tigerman__> like TF vs ES
[12:04:01] <Tigerman__> take care see next time
[14:05:10] <mtntrader> Short TF 1208.90
[14:06:41] <mtntrader> Cover all 1208.70, + 2 ticks
[14:28:18] <@wrbtrader> A lot of range bound price action for the past hour of trading
[14:28:59] <mtntrader> Yes, I tried to see a break lower, but I was premature.
[14:29:55] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2086.50 -> large size
[14:30:11] <@wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[14:30:24] <@wrbtrader> risky Short position
[14:30:48] <@wrbtrader> volatility increasing but not a lot of pressure to the downside
[14:31:27] <@wrbtrader> it tired
[14:32:19] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2086.50 --> 0
[14:44:29] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2084.25 -> large size
[14:44:41] <@wrbtrader> 4+5+1 contracts
[14:46:39] <mtntrader> You would almost expect to hit a stop run down here and accelerate lower.
[14:46:59] <@wrbtrader> a lot of fight here
[14:53:09] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2082.00 --> + 2.25
[14:53:36] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached @ 2082.50
[14:56:36] <@wrbtrader> ##TheStrategyLab Purpose -> -This chat room is for YOU to use as a daily journal of your thoughts or trades involving any key concept from the WRB Analysis free study guide. If you're in here and NOT talking about WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, key market events, swing point price actions, strong continuation price actions, WRB Zones...you are not properly using this chat room. Also, you risk being permanently BANNED (no exceptions) if you consistently log into ##TheStrategyLab and you do not discuss anything related to the WRB Analysis free study guide.
[14:58:56] <mtntrader> Wrbtrader, earlier today you mentioned that you traded for a while on a laptop with an extra monitor. How many charts could you display on that setup?
[15:00:16] <@wrbtrader> Trade execution platforum and chat room window used up the monitor screen and 4 small charts on the attached monitor
[15:01:11] <@wrbtrader> In contrast, if I was on the monitor only...just one chart and trade execution platform...I would only do a few trades like that
[15:01:24] <mtntrader> Wow, makes me more appreciative of all the monitor real estate I have on my trading computer with 4 monitors.
[15:08:29] <@wrbtrader> That's all I can manage when traveling
[15:09:02] <@wrbtrader> I like to keep it light when I travel...big backpack and briefcase
[15:09:16] <@wrbtrader> monitor and laptop in briefcase
[15:11:55] <mtntrader> I have to say, you are dedicated if you trade while on vacation.
[15:12:26] <@wrbtrader> Not on vacation
[15:12:39] <@wrbtrader> If I'm on vacation...I don't trade
[15:12:57] <@wrbtrader> I use that when I'm doing something business related
[15:12:59] <TradeSnake______> Now a days most flat screen TV's have a HDMI plug-in. When I travel and trade I just make sure I have an extra HDMI cable with me.
[15:22:02] <@wrbtrader> Great trading day for me...not via profit numbers.
[15:22:51] <@wrbtrader> Instead, its been about 3 years since I've had a trading day with this many consecutive winners (no losers)...perfect day.
[15:22:52] <mtntrader> Yes, good day here too. Didn't catch as much of the big down move as I would have liked.
[15:23:08] <@wrbtrader> good job
[15:23:15] <@wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow
[15:23:24] <mtntrader> See ya
[15:23:27] <Corner> Take care

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
