##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room. Exceptions to the chat room participation rule involves those traders that are actively posting elsewhere at TheStrategyLab.com (e.g. DOKs at their support forum in the public area or within their private threads)...these traders are then allowed to not participate in the chat room if that's what they prefer to do instead of asking for help with real-time WRB Analysis.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[09:41:22] <Tigerman__> umm seems bad volatility till now
[09:41:47] <Tigerman__> also VIX is low gain :(
[09:41:57] <Tigerman__> again vs days ago
[09:41:59] <@wrbtrader> All my trades via a Zone
[09:42:28] <@wrbtrader> If you don't see it...you probably don't have access to it
[09:42:54] <Trader_Uy> ok yes probably is whats happening
[09:43:02] <Volker> Chapter 3?
[09:43:09] <@wrbtrader> No
[09:43:47] <Trader_Uy> might be a zone coming from chapters 5-12
[09:44:07] <@wrbtrader> problem not my Zone...problem is the trade signal
[09:44:21] <@wrbtrader> reason why I dumped TF early
[09:45:11] <Volker> I found a KME chapter 2 zone at 2076.5-2080 in ES Mini. Am I right?
[09:45:40] <Volker> 5min
[09:46:53] <@wrbtrader> I don't know...you didn't tell me the time of your Zone
[09:46:58] <@wrbtrader> you just gave a time frame
[09:47:48] <Volker> KME @0830
[09:48:05] <Trader_Uy> I still dont get on the TF.. was that zone coming from a chapter from 5 to 12?
[09:48:30] <@wrbtrader> No...Zone coming from something called confirmation signals
[09:48:42] <@wrbtrader> Simply, you don't have access to it
[09:49:03] <Trader_Uy> ok no problem! so its something similar to whats on chapt 3
[09:49:06] <Tigerman__> sh iwm 120.07
[09:49:11] <@wrbtrader> Volker...thanks...yeah...I see your Zone
[09:49:11] <Trader_Uy> but not the same
[09:49:37] <@wrbtrader> Trader_Uy...correct
[09:51:05] <Tigerman__> exit all iwm 07 +0 :(
[09:52:32] <Tigerman__> new low on Eurusd
[09:53:45] <Trader_Uy> voler you are using your zones via the hidden gap and NOT via the body right?
[09:54:03] <Trader_Uy> Volker*
[09:54:16] <Volker> Right
[09:54:48] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2079.50 --> + 1
[09:55:39] <Tigerman__> people wait x 10am Kme
[09:55:45] <Trader_Uy> so maybe in the case your correct zone is 2076.25 - 2080 instead of 2076.5-2080 you mentioned
[09:56:41] <Volker> Trader_Uy. Right. I typed in the wrong number... it's 2076.25
[09:57:46] <Trader_Uy> ok.. didnt want to correct you.. just trying to understand if I got correct thoughts :)
[09:58:26] <Tigerman__> lg iwm 20.21 intuit
[09:58:40] <Volker> I like corrections, the only way to learn...
[09:59:20] <Tigerman__> exit at 19 -2tk
[10:02:31] <@wrbtrader> Just like yesterday...another low volatility tight trading range day "so far"
[10:03:06] <Tigerman__> yeah price action candidate for losses if one is tempted to enter in this junk
[10:03:24] <Tigerman__> was my mistakes for too long :(
[10:05:10] <Tigerman__> enought world events to now to trigger high volayility .... seems nobody cares
[10:05:19] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF futures 3min chart...TF just retraced back above the S area of its most recent Down WRB Hidden GAP interval
[10:05:25] <Tigerman__> these days I mean
[10:06:58] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1205.10 -> small size
[10:06:58] * Retrieving ##TheStrategyLab modes...
[10:07:09] <@wrbtrader> 2+1 contracts
[10:08:25] <Tigerman__> lg iwm 120.32
[10:08:41] <Trader_Uy> Im curious Mark. wich type of zone its your personal choise of use? the body or the hidden hap?
[10:09:09] <@wrbtrader> I prefer to use the BODY and not the actual Hidden GAP area
[10:09:57] <@wrbtrader> 3 choices: Body, Hidden GAP area or entire Range of the interval
[10:10:39] <@wrbtrader> One does not have an advantage over the other
[10:10:52] <@wrbtrader> Thus, it just comes down to personal choice or trading style
[10:11:10] <Volker> Does the quality decrease with the entire range?
[10:11:28] <@wrbtrader> [10:10:39] <@wrbtrader> One does not have an advantage over the other
[10:11:44] <Tigerman__> exit all iwm 120.31 -1t
[10:12:38] <Volker> But you have fewer trades with the Hidden GAP... I supposed they have a higher quality then...
[10:13:02] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 1204.00 --> - 1.1
[10:13:41] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1204.40 -> medium size
[10:13:46] <@wrbtrader> 4 contracts
[10:14:14] <@wrbtrader> Fewere trades does not equate to better quality
[10:14:26] <@wrbtrader> it just means "few trades"
[10:15:17] <Volker> But then you should go with the entire range to maximise profits...
[10:15:29] <Volker> maximize
[10:16:07] <@wrbtrader> Covered 3/4 Emini TF Short @ 1202.20 --> + 2.2
[10:16:18] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:16:36] <Trader_Uy> is that 1min?
[10:17:00] <@wrbtrader> 3min chart
[10:17:07] <Tigerman__> sh iwm 120.04
[10:17:11] <Trader_Uy> nice trade
[10:17:48] <@wrbtrader> The difference is the position size management
[10:18:03] <@wrbtrader> prior trade had lower volatility...I kepted the size low
[10:18:32] <@wrbtrader> Current open position had "higher" volatility...I increased the size and then held the trade "longer"
[10:18:50] <Tigerman__> exit all 120.03 +1t
[10:19:26] <@wrbtrader> Simply, the volatility impacts my position size and duration of the trade
[10:20:13] <Tigerman__> sh iwm 120.04 re-enter
[10:20:41] <Trader_Uy> is there a precision way or measuring the volatility for trade management? or its just eye ball?
[10:21:09] <Tigerman__> exit all 120.06 -2t
[10:21:15] <@wrbtrader> Just eye ball...faster reaction time
[10:21:26] <Tigerman__> correction -3tk
[10:21:42] <@wrbtrader> Keep it simple...you see the interval body expanding = increasing volatility
[10:22:50] <@wrbtrader> You don't need any indicator to tell you an interval is "growing fast and its bigger" in comparison to the prior most recent intervals
[10:25:51] <Trader_Uy> seems good! trade management size positions is one of they keys of sucessfull traders
[10:27:27] <@wrbtrader> Regular session chart basically just range bound
[10:28:09] <@wrbtrader> All session globex charts a little different...nice looking WRB Hidden GAPs and the range is a little bigger than the regular session chart of the Emini futures
[10:33:41] <@wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis for price action trading to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX 6E Futures, Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40, BUND), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, HO, QM), Gold GC Futures, Natural Gas NG Futures, Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Hang Seng HSI Futures, NIFTY Futures, Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) and other key market price actions.
[10:34:10] <@wrbtrader> Covered Remainder Emini TF Short @ 1202.00 --> + 2.4
[10:34:17] <@wrbtrader> early exit
[10:34:52] <@wrbtrader> I was holding that remainder for a WRB pt2 but decided against it after I saw more contraction around 1202 price area
[10:37:43] <Tigerman__> sh iwm 119.97
[10:38:18] <Tigerman__> exit 1/2 at 90 +7tk
[10:38:31] <Tigerman__> need catch something more
[10:40:51] <Tigerman__> exit all rem 85 +12tk
[10:46:23] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES futures fighting hard to not break down :(
[10:47:06] <Trader_Uy> TF jsut filled Nornal session GAP
[10:47:10] <Trader_Uy> normal*
[10:49:27] <@wrbtrader> The difference in the price action between Emini TF versus Emini ES futures is the perfect example of how Emini TF better handles "low volatility market conditions" than Emini ES
[10:49:33] <Tigerman__> I need to exit take care all see next time
[10:49:59] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES barely moved...about 2 ticks whereas Emini TF produced a big WRB Hidden GAP interval
[10:51:17] <@wrbtrader> In high volatility conditions...both are moving together at a good pace when producing WRB Hidden GAP intervals at the same time
[10:51:53] <@wrbtrader> In contrast, in low volatility conditions...Emini TF futures easily produces more WRB Hidden GAP intervals than Emini ES futures.
[10:54:45] <@wrbtrader> This answers the question: How Do You Know When To Change Trading Instruments ?
[10:55:27] <@wrbtrader> You only know that answer via studying how the trading instrument reacts to different types of volatility conditions in comparison to the other trading instruments you're interested in trading
[10:56:11] <Trader_Uy> :)
[10:58:04] <@wrbtrader> A lot of the stuff I talk in here in ##TheStrategyLab chat room I can't really discuss in the WRB Analysis free study guide
[10:58:24] <@wrbtrader> The free study guide is already BIG with words.
[10:58:59] <@wrbtrader> Stuff in here can only be explained in live trading conditions and live video examples.
[10:59:20] <@wrbtrader> I'm already working on putting live video examples together for the WRB Analysis free study guide
[10:59:34] <@wrbtrader> Hopefully I have some stuff available by summer but I'm in no rush
[10:59:42] <Trader_Uy> that would be nice! altough chapters are clear
[10:59:56] <Trader_Uy> harderst one is chapt 2
[11:00:06] <@wrbtrader> If the video examples go well...I'll then begin doing such for the advance material
[11:00:11] <Trader_Uy> pice action definition for strong continuation mainly
[11:00:19] <@wrbtrader> Trader_Uy...its clear to most but not to all
[11:00:40] <Trader_Uy> its easy to make mistakes on that
[11:00:44] <@wrbtrader> The video examples will help those small percentage of users still struggling with the key concepts
[11:01:05] <Trader_Uy> thats cool! let me know if need any kind of help
[11:59:34] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1203.70 -> small size
[11:59:47] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract and my last trade of the day
[12:00:42] <@wrbtrader> I always want to go into the Xmas Holiday Dec 25th with my recent trading day ending profitable
[12:01:04] <@wrbtrader> I'm not trading tomorrow December 24th that means I want to close today at a profitable
[12:01:43] <@wrbtrader> Its a big psychological thing for me because it has a big impact on my trading soon after December 25th until the January New Years
[12:02:31] <@wrbtrader> I'm profitable today and I want to keep it that way...reason for only 1 contract on this trade
[12:03:36] <@wrbtrader> Also, the trade is in a low volatility tight trading range
[12:04:47] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 1202.70 --> - 1
[12:05:18] <@wrbtrader> Take care all, Merry Christmas and see all on the next trading day after Christmas
[12:05:38] <t4n> Take care
[12:05:59] <Volker> Take care and thank you...
[12:06:11] <Lightenup> Have a great Christmas. Thanks for all the information re trading.
[15:23:19] <Tigerman__> good afternoon all

[16:03:24] <Tigerman__> exit all iwm at 119.91 +12 tks
[16:03:47] <Tigerman__> wow nice volatility near the end of regular close
[16:04:14] <Tigerman__> in contrast one of my plaftorm crashed at the close exactly!!!
[16:04:36] <Tigerman__> not sure if it is a setup I was not aware or just coincidence
[16:04:41] <Tigerman__> anyway scary
[16:12:01] <Tigerman__> take care all see next time

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
