##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room. Exceptions to the chat room participation rule involves those traders that are actively posting elsewhere at TheStrategyLab.com (e.g. DOKs at their support forum in the public area or within their private threads)...these traders are then allowed to not participate in the chat room if that's what they prefer to do instead of asking for help with real-time WRB Analysis.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[09:38:02] <wrbtrader> all prior 5 trades involved the trail stop being hit
[09:38:19] <Trader_Uy> are this last trades intuition or based on a signal?
[09:39:07] <wrbtrader> signal
[09:39:14] <wrbtrader> Its just bouncing around too much
[09:41:15] <wrbtrader> still choppy :(
[09:43:45] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 1154.30 --> + 0.2
[09:43:56] <wrbtrader> trail stop hit again
[09:44:28] <Trader_Uy> news in a few seconds
[09:44:47] <Trader_Uy> sorry at 9:55
[09:46:46] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1153.50 -> large size
[09:48:38] <wrbtrader> volatility declining slowly
[09:49:59] <wrbtrader> still no volatility spike
[09:51:28] <wrbtrader> I think I survived the initial chop for this trade...now adjusting trail stop
[09:52:32] <t4n_paper> finaly got the contract rollover setup in NT,
[09:52:44] <t4n_paper> pretty annoying
[09:53:49] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1152.70 --> + 0.8
[09:53:56] <wrbtrader> early exit
[09:54:01] <wrbtrader> too much contraction for me
[09:54:37] <wrbtrader> also didn't think my trail @ 1153.30 would last
[09:58:42] <wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1156.70 -> large size
[09:59:06] <wrbtrader> intuition trade
[10:01:29] <Trader_Uy> filled normal session GAP and bounced from there
[10:01:44] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 1154.70 --> - 2
[10:01:44] * Retrieving ##TheStrategyLab modes...
[10:02:25] <rwbil1> Had TF WRB that did not break R then another up bar you went long . where do you put your stop is it gut fell exit
[10:03:08] <wrbtrader> you talking to me or someone else ?
[10:03:14] <rwbil1> you
[10:03:18] <wrbtrader> If to me...I don't understand your question
[10:04:01] <wrbtrader> I don't know what time frame, what R you're talking about, reg session or all sssion
[10:04:22] <rwbil1> what is the trigger for your exit. Gut feel or signal
[10:04:25] <rwbil1> your last trade
[10:04:38] <wrbtrader> early exit
[10:04:44] <wrbtrader> It had a -3.2 stop
[10:05:02] <wrbtrader> Thus, early exited via trade experience
[10:05:11] <wrbtrader> call it gut if you want
[10:06:50] <wrbtrader> correction...meant stop was -2.7 not -3.2
[10:07:10] <wrbtrader> @ 1154.00
[10:08:40] <wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1154.50 -> large size
[10:11:49] <wrbtrader> This is the first real snap back of the trading day
[10:12:33] <wrbtrader> It did it on very low contracts
[10:13:11] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 1162.80 --> + 8.3
[10:13:21] <wrbtrader> correction
[10:13:40] <wrbtrader> 1164.50 the entry
[10:14:27] <wrbtrader> -1.7 and another early exit
[10:14:47] <wrbtrader> stop was at the reaction low of 1152.00
[10:16:59] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1151.10 -> large size
[10:17:22] <Trader_Uy> Mark you trading dec or march contracts?
[10:17:57] <wrbtrader> Your broker doesn't tell you what contracts you see ?
[10:18:30] <Trader_Uy> Im using march. but you entry at 1164.5 and now at 1151.10
[10:19:44] <wrbtrader> I just moved over to the obvious contract now
[10:19:45] <wrbtrader> H
[10:20:53] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1153.70 --> - 2.6
[10:21:40] <wrbtrader> You should put your contracts side by side to determine which contracts
[10:21:57] <wrbtrader> They're 4 - 5 points different
[10:22:32] <wrbtrader> Emini TF back above the R area of 1154.00
[10:22:45] <Trader_Uy> ohh so you you trade both.. wichever gives you a signal
[10:23:05] <wrbtrader> Yeah...as stated the other day
[10:23:13] <wrbtrader> I trade whatever gives me a signal
[10:23:27] <wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1154.00 -> large size
[10:23:51] <wrbtrader> Emini TF volatility now increasing
[10:24:00] <Trader_Uy> maybe this last couple days of this rollover week are more complited to trade...
[10:24:08] <wrbtrader> may get lucky to see it stick around for a few minutes
[10:24:34] <wrbtrader> Trader uy...
[10:24:49] <wrbtrader> read yesterday's comments about the market context
[10:25:05] <wrbtrader> Markets unusual because of yesterday's news
[10:25:13] <wrbtrader> nothing to do with rollover
[10:25:36] <Trader_Uy> ok
[10:25:46] <Trader_Uy> there is always something new to learn
[10:26:25] <wrbtrader> Oil and that possible Govenemnt shutdown fiasco yesterday evening involving Congress
[10:27:35] <wrbtrader> volatility declining again :(
[10:27:43] <wrbtrader> didn't last long
[10:29:47] <wrbtrader> As soon as the volatility disappear...Emini TF is easily moved by 1 contract traders
[10:30:19] <wrbtrader> It's been a problem since TF moved from CME to ICE exchange
[10:32:01] <wrbtrader> I think I've survived this trade's initial chop on those 1 contract trades
[10:32:06] <wrbtrader> adjusting trail
[10:33:37] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 1155.60 --> + 1.6
[10:34:05] <wrbtrader> another trail stop out
[10:34:19] <wrbtrader> :(
[10:34:56] <wrbtrader> I sometimes call those "pick pocketing"
[10:35:27] <wrbtrader> They happen soon (very quickly) after adjusting stops
[10:36:25] <wrbtrader> 1154 still seems like a problem price area
[10:36:38] <wrbtrader> Emini TF just can't seem to move too far away from it...
[10:36:53] <wrbtrader> It then quickly snaps back to it like a rubber band
[10:37:01] <t4n_paper> dang, cl finaly gave it up
[10:37:56] <wrbtrader> I don't see anything on my charts to show any key change of supply/demand price area involving 1154.00
[10:39:36] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1163.00 -> large size
[10:40:55] <wrbtrader> All trades today 6 - 7 contracts
[10:41:45] <wrbtrader> Emini TF aboout 4 ticks below that 1154 price area
[10:42:29] <wrbtrader> snappy back to it :(
[10:45:09] <wrbtrader> Short Emini ES futures large size @ 2016.00
[10:45:24] <wrbtrader> 20 contracts
[10:45:58] <wrbtrader> Cover Emini ES futures @ 2015.75 +0.25
[10:46:55] <t4n_paper> cl sideways range
[10:47:08] <wrbtrader> Short Emini ES futures large size @ 2016.50
[10:49:03] <wrbtrader> Cover Emini ES futures @ 2015.00 +1.50
[10:49:12] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 (shallow) reached
[10:49:18] <wrbtrader> first one of the trading day
[10:49:52] <wrbtrader> 20 contracts all day for Emini ES trades...the norm for ES when I trade it
[10:50:42] <wrbtrader> I got a little breathing room on Emini TF via it being less choppy
[10:50:48] <wrbtrader> adjust trail stop
[10:50:52] <wrbtrader> lets see what happens
[10:51:01] <t4n_paper> cl breaking down
[10:51:10] <t4n_paper> couldn't get on it :/
[10:51:33] <wrbtrader> Yeah...I hope Oil drags the Emini futures down with it
[10:52:47] <wrbtrader> I've coughed up a lot of points today so far in hopes of trying to catch a big runner +10 points
[10:53:15] <wrbtrader> I had a strong expectation today that there will be TONS of volatility out of the gate of the regular session...
[10:53:25] <wrbtrader> Didn't happen...not even close :(
[10:53:43] <t4n_paper> vix high and climbing
[10:54:00] <wrbtrader> Yep...reason why I took some trades in Emini ES
[10:54:10] <t4n_paper> I had a hard time getting on board
[10:54:12] <wrbtrader> I don't like to trade it when the VIX is low and declining
[10:54:27] <t4n_paper> also missed many
[10:54:38] <t4n_paper> rough start
[10:54:46] <Trader_Uy> is there a value at VIX you say I dont trade
[10:54:52] <t4n_paper> things are about to move i hope
[10:55:01] <t4n_paper> yet i see nothing to join atm
[10:55:02] <wrbtrader> Trader Uy...
[10:55:13] <wrbtrader> Yep...the magic number for the VIX is 18
[10:55:19] <Trader_Uy> lol
[10:55:39] <wrbtrader> When the VIX is below that number...my overall position size tend to be on the low side
[10:55:53] <wrbtrader> Above that number...I'm very aggressive on the position size
[10:56:17] <Trader_Uy> ohh you saying for real I tought you were kidding as my question was so newbie :P
[10:56:25] <wrbtrader> I'm also aggressive on the number of trades when the VIX is moving higher
[10:56:59] <wrbtrader> I use the VIX a lot to help with my position size management
[10:57:11] <wrbtrader> Its not perfect but it is useful
[10:58:58] <Trader_Uy> ok thanks uselfull info
[11:00:29] <t4n_paper> managed a hold of CL, bathroom break
[11:00:38] <t4n_paper> i'm sure the bottom will fall out while i'm gone :)
[11:00:51] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1147.80 --> + 15.2
[11:01:07] <wrbtrader> correction...
[11:01:50] <wrbtrader> entry 1163.00
[11:02:01] <wrbtrader> meant 1153.00
[11:02:41] <wrbtrader> +5.2 and it helped cleans up a lot of the mess involving the losing trades near that 1154.00 price area that was kicking my butt all day today
[11:03:18] <wrbtrader> I still can't determine why that 1154.00 price area was behaving like a "pivot point"
[11:03:42] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2008.00 -> large size
[11:03:57] <wrbtrader> 20 contracts
[11:05:10] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2007.75 --> + 0.25
[11:05:44] <wrbtrader> need to be careful now on the short side
[11:06:01] <wrbtrader> Oil price drop created a ton of volatility in the markets
[11:06:16] <wrbtrader> right now its trying hard to find some legs to stand up on
[11:06:36] <wrbtrader> Simply, I'm now expecting some contraction in the volatility to show up in the Emini futures
[11:12:24] <t4n_paper> cl snapped back
[11:13:18] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2011.00 -> large size
[11:15:56] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2011.25 --> + 0.25
[11:16:40] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2010.50 -> large size
[11:17:08] <wrbtrader> Emini ES futures getting choppy now
[11:17:24] <t4n_paper> cl too
[11:17:38] <wrbtrader> I've had enough of the chop today...lots of losing trades today for me when the chop showed up
[11:18:27] <Lightenup> TF comming back to that 1154 area
[11:18:47] <wrbtrader> :(*
[11:20:10] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2010.00 --> + 0.5
[11:21:01] <wrbtrader> more contraction in the volatility, Oil trying hard to stabilize and Emini TF slowly creeping back upwards to that 1154.00 strange price area
[11:21:14] <wrbtrader> I'm sidelined...will just watch for awhile
[11:21:31] <t4n_paper> i'll give it a paper go
[11:21:53] <@wrbtrader> WRB Analysis -> - Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis for price action trading to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX 6E Futures, Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40, BUND), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, HO, QM), Gold GC Futures, Natural Gas NG Futures, Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Hang Seng HSI Futures, NIFTY Futures, Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) and other key market price actions.
[11:24:12] <t4n_paper> cl snapped again
[11:24:41] <t4n_paper> TF testing lows of that contraction
[11:27:31] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2008.50 -> large size
[11:27:39] <@wrbtrader> 20 contracts
[11:30:50] <@wrbtrader> geeesh

[11:31:19] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2007.50 --> + 1
[11:31:29] <@wrbtrader> its trying again
[11:31:52] <t4n_paper> tough retracement to the downside TF
[11:32:10] <t4n_paper> i didnt last to the full pt
[11:32:24] <t4n_paper> near 1154
[11:32:26] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF looks like it really wants that 1154.00
[11:35:01] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 2009.75 -> large size
[11:35:30] <@wrbtrader> intuition trade
[11:35:34] <t4n_paper> all those CL snaps
[11:35:41] <@wrbtrader> last intuition trade was a big loss
[11:36:39] <t4n_paper> its like someones trying to hold the price up
[11:37:07] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 2010.00 --> + 0.25
[11:37:16] <@wrbtrader> pick pocked
[11:37:28] <@wrbtrader> It hit 2010.75 and then BAM
[11:37:31] <@wrbtrader> trail stolen
[11:38:05] <@wrbtrader> t4n...at one particular institutional firm...
[11:38:50] <@wrbtrader> The Oil CL and Brent traders sat in the same room near the Emini futures traders...same room also as the Euro traders and Gold traders
[11:39:08] <@wrbtrader> They easily pay attention what the others are doing and they REACT to it
[11:40:15] <t4n_paper> yes, they feed off eachother
[11:43:54] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 2009.75 -> large size
[11:45:03] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 2009.25 --> + 0.5
[11:45:08] <@wrbtrader> :(
[11:45:37] <@wrbtrader> last two trades were good entries...yet coughed up very little due to some chop
[11:46:25] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES in a little trouble here in this price area
[11:46:41] <@wrbtrader> Its fighting hard to not continue the downtrend
[11:47:36] <@wrbtrader> volatility declining

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
