##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via your participation in the chat room.

Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is not designed to be educational. Simply, members using the chat room are not there to teach you how to trade and you will not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room. Exceptions to the chat room participation rule involves those traders that are actively posting elsewhere at TheStrategyLab.com (e.g. DOKs at their support forum in the public area or within their private threads)...these traders are then allowed to not participate in the chat room if that's what they prefer to do instead of asking for help with real-time WRB Analysis.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[10:18:13] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF/NQ futures has retraced and retesting the R area of that prior "low volatility range price action".
[10:21:19] <Cayden> Good Morning WRB- Interesting your Term R for the area that might also be considered S.
[10:36:45] <@wrbtrader> In traditional s/r analysis...where R can become S or S become R.
[10:37:20] <@wrbtrader> In WRB Analysis...R never changes and S never changes because its a Zone
[10:38:14] <@wrbtrader> Simply, when price action ENTERS the WRB Zone...R is "always" above and S is "always" below.
[10:38:30] <@wrbtrader> In contrast, traditional S/R analysis are not Zones.
[10:40:38] <@wrbtrader> Regardless how you view it...its still the EXACT same price action
[10:40:51] <@wrbtrader> Thus, its a "key price area"
[10:43:17] <@wrbtrader> Cayden...I'll repost what you missed

[10:44:50] <@wrbtrader> strong continuation price action still active
[10:44:54] <@wrbtrader> 4 contracts
[10:45:04] <@wrbtrader> volatility increasing again
[10:45:25] <@wrbtrader> snap back upwards
[10:45:43] <Cayden> thanks
[10:46:11] <@wrbtrader> We had a lot of these "snap back" price actions the past 3 weeks...
[10:46:18] <@wrbtrader> Difficult trading sessions
[10:48:39] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1129.70 --> - 1
[10:50:26] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF futures retesting the S area of the most recent Down WRB Hidden GAP on the 1min chart
[10:51:10] <@wrbtrader> its now retesting the R area of the same Down WRB Hidden GAP
[10:52:57] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1139.90 -> medium size
[10:53:06] <@wrbtrader> correction
[10:53:19] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1129.90 -> medium size
[10:53:27] <@wrbtrader> 4 contracts
[10:53:58] <@wrbtrader> back to the prior R area mentioned earlier
[10:54:33] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1131.10 --> - 1.2
[10:55:05] <@wrbtrader> So far, only Emini TF futures doing these "snap backs"
[10:55:15] <@wrbtrader> Other Eminis stabilized
[10:55:32] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 1131.10 -> medium size
[10:55:33] <Cayden> WRB? could you tell me what time frame you are working your TF trade- please
[10:55:48] <@wrbtrader> 1min, 3min, 3min, 5min and 15min
[10:55:58] <@wrbtrader> 2min
[10:56:18] <Cayden> copy- thanks
[10:56:54] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 1131.50 --> - 0.4
[10:57:17] <tradermo> short ym 16350
[10:58:21] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF retracing higher into the range of the R area of the most recent Down WRB Hidden Gap on the 3min chart
[10:58:56] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1859.25 -> large size
[10:59:03] <@wrbtrader> 20+5 contracts
[11:00:18] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES futures not doing those price action "snap backs" (sudden price change) like the Emini TF futures
[11:02:18] <Cayden> TF reminds me of a sports car- makes sharp turns well. Probably can take advantage of that most of the time.
[11:05:24] <Cayden> WRB? regarding time frames on your TF shorts- were you working a Zone from Thursday?
[11:07:45] <tradermo> away for a bit but keeping stop at 16371 - above 5min up wrb
[11:10:44] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1860.00 --> - 0.75
[11:11:31] <@wrbtrader> increasing volatility...taking ES and TF back inside the opening "low volatility tight trading range"
[11:11:53] <@wrbtrader> Cayden...I mainly use WRB Zones from other trading instruments to trade TF
[11:12:23] <@wrbtrader> NQ, ES, YM, VIX, AD Lines, DAX, SPY, QQQ, IWM, DIA and such
[11:12:32] <Cayden> copy that
[11:13:07] <@wrbtrader> Whenever I concentrate exclusively on TF...I only have a few trades per those days
[11:13:30] <@wrbtrader> If I use WRB Zones from multiple different sources that are correlated...
[11:13:41] <@wrbtrader> I can get A LOT of trade opportunities
[11:14:05] <@wrbtrader> Simply, more WRB Zones = more trade opportunities
[11:14:38] <@wrbtrader> If I want to slow down my trading day for whatever reasons...I'll just use WRB Zones from the trading instrument I'm trading
[11:16:35] <Cayden> makes sense...and the TF can really move at times...not only like a sports car but like the kid who does what it wants...like a 'brat'...
[11:16:52] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 1861.75 -> large size
[11:17:37] <@wrbtrader> 5+20 contracts
[11:17:54] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF futures @ 1136.10 medium size 6 contracts
[11:18:05] <@wrbtrader> large size on Emini TF futures
[11:18:26] <@wrbtrader> tough price area for me...gave me lots of problems early today
[11:20:01] <@wrbtrader> snap back in TF and ES
[11:20:54] <@wrbtrader> they both gave a good try at trying to get back above that problematic R area mentioned earlier today
[11:22:48] <@wrbtrader> Gold GC futures hasn't done much today since the regular session open of 0930am est
[11:23:17] <@wrbtrader> Crude Oil CL futures has slowed down from its earlier volatility increases
[11:25:37] <@wrbtrader> Exit Emini TF futures @ 1136.70 +0.60
[11:25:49] <@wrbtrader> not going anywhere
[11:28:06] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF futures starting to accumulate more and more price ticks around near that Thursday price close
[11:31:57] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 1862.25 --> + 0.5
[11:32:01] <@wrbtrader> :(
[11:32:06] <@wrbtrader> tough trade on that one
[11:32:36] <@wrbtrader> volatility dried up fast after entry and just continue getting worse
[11:35:09] <@wrbtrader> All of the Emini futures are now in a low volatility tight trading range near the R area of its most recent Up WRB Hidden GAP on the 3min and 5min charts
[11:36:04] <Cayden> thanks...looking left
[11:36:16] <tradermo> long es 1861.75
[11:36:25] <tradermo> ym was stopped out
[11:38:13] <Cayden> modest but good buy tails on the 4 minute ES. lets see if 61.25 can craddle your trade- sittimg on it now.
[11:39:37] <tradermo> keeping stop at 1859.25 - below 3min wrb
[11:41:27] <tradermo> slow low volume day, so need to give it time
[11:45:53] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 1852.50
[11:45:58] <Cayden> 63.25 ought to bring you to HOD@ 64.5
[11:46:38] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES just did its own snap back from the 1163.00 price area
[11:46:49] <@wrbtrader> 10+5 contracts
[11:51:19] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 1861.75 -> Add
[11:51:37] <@wrbtrader> 15 contracts
[11:52:16] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES keeps bouncing off the R area of the prior mentioned Up WRB Hidden GAP on the 3min and 5min chart
[11:52:57] <@wrbtrader> I was too slow to grab the 1861.50 price
[11:59:04] <Cayden> staying up toward the top end of this recent volitilty contraction range bodes well.
[12:00:49] <@wrbtrader> Exited 1/2 Emini ES Long @ 1862.25 --> + 0.5
[12:01:06] <@wrbtrader> :(
[12:01:17] <@wrbtrader> I needed a +1 on that add
[12:01:53] <@wrbtrader> adjusted the trail stop too soon
[12:02:42] <@wrbtrader> that puts pressure on the original entry
[12:04:49] <tradermo> my target is 1866.25, keeping wide stop fixed due to low volume
[12:05:02] <@wrbtrader> +1.25 was the target and now I need a +1.75 to compensate for the prior exit
[12:05:02] <Cayden> looks good now
[12:05:26] <@wrbtrader> It only looks good if it has some volatility to push it
[12:05:40] <@wrbtrader> Without that...it'll do those snap backs "very easily"
[12:05:47] <tradermo> yes, that's the problem
[12:06:00] <Cayden> like to see 2.50 hold her
[12:06:08] <@wrbtrader> Right now it doesn't have enough volatility but it is trying hard to get it
[12:07:05] <Cayden> too sleepy- or something???
[12:07:28] <@wrbtrader> Normal trading session for the first trading day after Easter Holiday
[12:07:50] <@wrbtrader> Simply...
[12:07:57] <@wrbtrader> Don't expect much :)
[12:08:31] <Cayden> could be some post holiday low volatility thing.
[12:08:43] <Cayden> copy that
[12:08:51] <@wrbtrader> I usually reduce my profit goals by 75% for the first day after Easter.
[12:09:15] <@wrbtrader> same for the day "before" Easter
[12:09:28] <@wrbtrader> too many key market participants not around
[12:10:29] <@wrbtrader> Exited Remainder Emini ES Long @ 1862.50 --> + 10
[12:10:46] <Cayden> right...Might be time for a nice hike soon
[12:10:49] <@wrbtrader> breakeven (correction)
[12:15:24] <Cayden> its an odd thing to say but i do like it when it moves slow...too bad you simply can not have it both ways. 'time' volitility is one of my trade hurdles....for now anyways
[12:20:18] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Light Crude Oil CL @ 103.38 -> small size
[12:20:36] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[12:21:47] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Light Crude Oil CL Short @ 103.34 --> + 0.04
[12:22:23] <@wrbtrader> volatility just not staying around too long after the strong continuation price action gets confirmed :(
[13:31:11] <Cayden> lets see if we can get some expansion and follow through volitility at 63.75
[13:42:08] <tradermo> moving target to 1868 keeping wide stop at 1859.25
[14:05:31] <tradermo> exit half at 1864.75
[14:06:10] <tradermo> saw some big guys selling here
[14:06:30] <tradermo> exit was into wrb
[14:07:16] <tradermo> big guys seem to know about wrb too
[14:08:34] <Cayden> good move. 'bird in the hand'
[14:10:13] <tradermo> yes, letting the rest run till 1868, i am sure there will be a wrb to sell into if we get there
[14:14:51] <Cayden> IDK. seems like we could trade tight throughout as well...I feel like The JV team is on the field.
[14:15:11] <Cayden> post holiday lull
[15:45:20] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1136.50 -> small size
[15:45:38] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract
[15:50:45] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1136.80 -> Add
[15:50:55] <@wrbtrader> 2 added
[15:53:17] <tradermo> exit rest es at 1865 - early exit
[15:53:37] <@wrbtrader> Exited 1/3 Emini TF Long @ 1137.30 --> + 0.5
[15:54:08] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 (shallow) reached
[15:54:22] <@wrbtrader> Exited Remainder Emini TF Long @ 1137.10 --> + 0.6
[15:55:10] <Cayden> that'll work folks
[15:56:06] <@wrbtrader> quiet trading day
[15:56:43] <@wrbtrader> I'm not expecting things to go back to normal with key market participants until Wednesday
[15:57:19] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 1137.60 -> small size
[15:57:33] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[15:58:55] <@wrbtrader> tightning the trail on this one...to shallow (lacks volatility)
[15:59:57] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 1139.00 --> + 1.4
[16:00:05] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[16:01:14] <@wrbtrader> No aggressive trading today for me because of the post trading day after Easter...just not worth trying to hit a few home runs.
[16:02:24] <Cayden> Thanks for sharing- good stuff nonetheless.
[16:05:36] <tradermo> yes, the last one was especially sneaky
[16:18:34] <Cayden> C U Guys tomorrow.
[16:22:30] <@wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
