##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRB, WRB Hidden GAP, WRB Zone, WRB profit targets, Key Market Events) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to only be a trade journal for documentation purposes so that members can have a real time stamp archive of their trades and their market commentaries of each trading day...giving them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary (journal) to correlate with trades on your broker statements.

Also, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you, ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations). You can talk about anything related to price action analysis, trade execution, financial markets, economies or news impacting the markets in general.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post at least one WRB Analysis price action commentary, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To log into ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions here at the FTCHAT Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 or via the the instructions from the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[10:32:49] <@wrbtrader> S area @ 1694.75
[10:33:13] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached again
[10:33:23] <@wrbtrader> I'm still holding for a WRB pt2
[10:33:23] <TigermanTrader> TF move better in this last move

[10:37:43] <jessel_> thanks
[10:43:36] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt2 reached
[10:44:06] <TigermanTrader> goos wrbtrader I exit at wrb pt1 by fear
[10:44:08] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1693.00 --> + 2.5
[10:44:29] <@wrbtrader> Tigerman, I'm already above my profit goal for the day...
[10:44:47] <NDW> good trades, profitable day for certain
[10:44:51] <@wrbtrader> It's the only reason why I stayed in that trade for a WRB pt2 instead of a WRB pt1
[10:44:52] <TigermanTrader> ah ok so you wanna milk more
[10:45:03] <@wrbtrader> yeah...was just milking it
[10:45:15] <@wrbtrader> Had I not been profitable for the day or not near my profit goal...
[10:45:22] <@wrbtrader> I would have dumped it at a WRB pt1
[10:45:45] <TigermanTrader> simply untill I have more confidence I use only 1-2 contracts and profit are small
[10:45:48] <@wrbtrader> Unless there was unusual volatility
[10:46:13] <@wrbtrader> That unusual volatility was NOT there @ WRB pt1
[10:46:48] <@wrbtrader> Yet, that unusual volatility just showed up now AFTER my exit :(
[10:47:27] <TigermanTrader> yeah a wrb pt3 reached now
[10:47:47] <TigermanTrader> when market run more after my exit I becaome very upset
[10:48:06] <TigermanTrader> but I smile considering I exit with aprofit anyway :)
[10:48:24] <@wrbtrader> The manipulation theories are now out in full force after seeing this price action run-up prior to the 1000am est key market event and now dropped like a hot potato AFTER the key market event
[10:48:59] <NDW> people love to talk about PPT and conspiracies
[10:52:20] * jessel__ is now known as jessel_
[10:54:31] <kristi39> Is initial stop protection the same on all trades or does it vary depending on the strategy?
[10:56:04] <jessel_> low volatility in gold for the last 30 min
[10:57:32] <kristi39> not sure if my question makes sense?
[10:58:08] <@wrbtrader> In the free study guide it shows that the initial stop will not be the same from trade to trade.
[10:58:29] <@wrbtrader> Stop based upon price action of WRB Analysis...not based upon any specific strategy
[10:58:54] <@wrbtrader> Simply, when trading involving the WRB Zone...
[10:59:04] <kristi39> That is explained in the fading volatility breakout section?
[10:59:17] <@wrbtrader> Yes
[10:59:39] <kristi39> ok thanks. I'm working on the charts to post for that.
[10:59:39] <@wrbtrader> You may be able to catch on about the stop management in here without the FVB access
[11:00:37] <@wrbtrader> Basically I myself use WRB Zones S/R areas or WRB Hidden GAPs S/R areas to manage my initial stops and profitable trail stops
[11:02:34] <@wrbtrader> For example, take a look at the 3min chart of Emini ES futures...
[11:02:39] <NDW> this price action today in the emini TF looks identical to yesterday's price action. Except that it is condensed from 6.5 hours to 1.5 hours
[11:02:59] <@wrbtrader> If I were to Short right now around the 1688.00
[11:03:00] <kristi39> ok
[11:03:54] <@wrbtrader> I would use the Open (S area) of the WRB Hidden GAP of 1045am - 1048am est
[11:03:57] <kristi39> yes I see the WRB at 11:03 on the es
[11:04:02] <@wrbtrader> as my initial stop loss placement
[11:04:33] <@wrbtrader> Yet as soon as the WRB interval of 1100am - 1103am est gets confirmed as a WRB Hidden GAP
[11:05:16] <TigermanTrader> sh es 1687.5
[11:05:17] <@wrbtrader> I would LOWER my stop loss to the R area of that WRB Hidden GAP of 1100am - 1103am est
[11:05:33] <kristi39> 1690.25 as the initial stop?
[11:05:52] <@wrbtrader> Yes
[11:06:00] <@wrbtrader> But they are never fixed stops
[11:06:03] <kristi39> ok that makes perfect sense thanks
[11:06:22] <@wrbtrader> Thus, the stops should always be adjusted as new WRB Hidden GAPs or WRB Zones are formed...
[11:06:28] <TigermanTrader> exit es 1687.5 breakeven
[11:06:30] <kristi39> ok
[11:06:45] <@wrbtrader> The goal is to minimize the risk via minimizing the loss potential as price action is constantly changing.
[11:06:54] <@wrbtrader> I have an old saying...
[11:07:13] <kristi39> for sure
[11:07:23] <@wrbtrader> Price action is always changing. It just doesn't make any sense to use fixated stops as if price action never changes.
[11:07:30] <kristi39> I do like to have that initial protection though in case something crazy happens
[11:07:41] <kristi39> couldn't agree more
[11:08:08] <@wrbtrader> Yeah, a long time ago I didn't use stops. Was a strong believer they hinder my trading...
[11:08:09] <kristi39> I'm learning a lot from you and very much appreciate your material
[11:08:20] <@wrbtrader> One day a "crazy price surged occurred".
[11:08:29] <@wrbtrader> I got nailed with a 21k loss
[11:08:41] <@wrbtrader> Started using stops after that fiasco
[11:08:49] <MattyR> which instrument?
[11:08:57] <@wrbtrader> Crude Oil futures
[11:08:58] <kristi39> just to review, you use the most recent hidden gap prior to your entry for stop placement?
[11:10:06] <kristi39> and if you are short, you use the support level (or low) and if long you use the resistance level or (high of the candle)?
[11:10:07] <@wrbtrader> I use the WRB Zone that involved the trade signal or the most recent WRB Hidden GAP as my initial stop placement...whichever fits my risk tolerance.
[11:10:40] <@wrbtrader> Thus, if I can only take a 2.5 hit...I'm not going to use some far away WRB Hidden GAP of 5 points.
[11:11:03] <@wrbtrader> Simply, got to manage the initial stops with your "money management"
[11:11:22] <@wrbtrader> Therefore, if the stop location is within my risk tolerance...I use that stop
[11:11:48] <@wrbtrader> If the WRB zone or WRB HIdden GAP shows me a stop too big for my taste...
[11:12:08] <@wrbtrader> I either ignore the trade or lower my position size to better manage the increased risk
[11:13:06] <@wrbtrader> I average about 4 stop adjustments per trade
[11:13:29] <@wrbtrader> I'm constantly trying to adjust that stop from its original initial stop placement
[11:13:47] <@wrbtrader> I just HATE letting an initial stop/loss get hit
[11:13:54] <kristi39> me too
[11:14:24] <kristi39> although sometimes it is inevitable, don't you think, albeit rarely hopefully
[11:15:58] <@wrbtrader> Yeah, when my initial stops get hit without me having a chance to adjust the stop minimize the loss...
[11:16:21] <@wrbtrader> Its mainly due to some unexpected price surge or got got big time distracted
[11:23:51] <kristi39> as another example if I were to have gone short at 102.90 on cl at 11:19, initial stop would be 102.98 based on 11:16 WRBHG?
[11:24:18] <kristi39> not that I would take that trade, but just to understand the stop concept
[11:24:36] <kristi39> that is a 1 min. chart
[11:29:25] <TigermanTrader> long es 1689.5
[11:35:09] <@wrbtrader> kristi...sorry...had to reload my CL chart (data problem)
[11:35:25] <kristi39> no problem
[11:35:34] <@wrbtrader> what chart interval you're talking about ?
[11:35:39] <kristi39> 1 min
[11:36:24] <@wrbtrader> Yes, your intial stop analysis is correct
[11:36:45] <kristi39> right and I understand the importance of adjusting the stop as new gaps form
[11:37:13] <@wrbtrader> Yeah and the other piece of the puzzle about stop ajustments is discussed in the free study guide...
[11:37:22] <@wrbtrader> Involving when the trade moves into profit
[11:37:47] <@wrbtrader> You need to then determine at what profit price that you should adjust your initial stop into a profitable trail stop
[11:37:55] <kristi39> it makes perfect sense to base it off of the actual price action instead of some kind of arbitrary fixed stop
[11:38:17] <@wrbtrader> Yep
[11:39:37] <TigermanTrader> exit ES 1689 -2tk
[11:42:31] <TigermanTrader> lg ES 1689.25
[11:45:47] <jessel_> WRB on 3 min ES possible vol breakout

[11:48:32] <TigermanTrader> take care all see next time
[11:48:45] <kristi39> bye
[11:57:22] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1690.00 -> small size
[11:57:28] <@wrbtrader> 5 contracts
[12:06:19] <@wrbtrader> This is my bets entry of the day
[12:06:34] <@wrbtrader> Unfortunately its during a slow period for the Emini ES futures.
[12:06:47] <@wrbtrader> Simply, good entry but it'll produce only a small profit
[12:07:02] <kristi39> wrb candle forming on your trade
[12:07:13] <kristi39> not done yet though on the 2 min
[12:07:22] <@wrbtrader> too bad I didn't get an entry like this earlier today when all that volatility showed up
[12:08:28] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 (shallow) reached
[12:09:09] <JohnS> Test
[12:09:24] <@wrbtrader> :)
[12:10:15] <NDW> wrbtrader: your entry was based off of against the resistance of 9:48 wrbhg in 3 min es chart?
[12:10:26] <@wrbtrader> volatility increasing in Euro futures and Gold futures
[12:10:43] <@wrbtrader> trying to increase in Crude Oil futures too
[12:19:34] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt2 reached
[12:19:45] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1688.50 --> + 1.5
[12:28:17] <NDW> I am unable to find where to enable Timestamp for the chat in mIRC. Anybody know where that option is located? mIRC Help isn't helping me....

[12:34:16] <@wrbtrader> I thought Trillian auto did that
[12:34:40] <@wrbtrader> If not, you're going to need to explore that because I don't know myself nor can I remember how I set it

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
