##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRB, WRB Hidden GAP, WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading.

##TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to only be a trade journal for documentation purposes so that members can have a real time stamp archive of their trades and their market commentaries of each trading day...giving them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your diary (journal) to correlate with trades on your broker statements.

Also, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you, ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations). You can talk about anything related to price action analysis, trade execution, financial markets, economies or news impacting the markets in general.

Quote:
The chat room is only for traders using concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are not required to post trades but if you do post trades...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding price action trading. To log into ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions here at the FTCHAT Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 or via the the instructions from the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[12:00:44] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[12:03:03] <@wrbtrader> Emini ES is tough to trade...a few mistakes in a trading day and its over because of the volatility issues...
[12:03:18] <@wrbtrader> Yet, its one of the best liquidity trading instruments out there
[12:03:45] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 92.61 --> + 0.04

[12:05:36] <hi_low> doesnt it all depend on risk management

[12:29:49] <@wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[12:30:11] <@wrbtrader> Long or Short in the area of 93.15 is a tough trade
[12:30:26] <@wrbtrader> that's the R area of a WRB Hidden GAP
[12:32:12] <@wrbtrader> I'm getting the worst of a 10 tick range :(
[12:32:34] <@wrbtrader> over the past 6 - 8 minutes
[12:34:12] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 93.07 --> - 0.1
[12:34:29] <squiggles> Does the trend in the higher timeframes have any influence on whether or not you go long or short from the price action in a lower timeframe chart ?
[12:34:41] <@wrbtrader> No
[12:35:07] <@wrbtrader> Higher time frames only have influence on my "position size"...not trade direction.
[12:35:47] <squiggles> ok thanks
[12:35:48] <@wrbtrader> I'm a day trader
[12:36:10] <@wrbtrader> Thus, higher time frames shouldn't influence my trade direction.
[12:36:29] <@wrbtrader> Only smaller time frames should influence my trade direction as a day trader.
[12:36:44] <@wrbtrader> If I doing a swing trade, position trade...
[12:36:57] <@wrbtrader> Yeah, higher time frames will influence my trade direction

[12:38:55] <@wrbtrader> Crude Oil CL futures Creeper Up Movement trying hard to become active again
[12:39:36] <@wrbtrader> I have no wiggle room above that prior recent 10 minutes of low volatility tight trading range
[12:39:59] <@wrbtrader> 93.22 is the top of that range
[12:40:30] <@wrbtrader> thus, my trade can easily get suction back down into that range
[12:44:14] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 93.14 --> - 0.1
[12:44:24] <@wrbtrader> back inside that range
[12:44:47] <squiggles> wiggle room ? meaning being by way of a recent higher prior WRB ?
[12:45:16] <@wrbtrader> Wiggle room just means that if it suddenly retraces...
[12:45:43] <@wrbtrader> Its far enough away from the entry that I have enough time to react and exit the trade at a profit before the stop/loss is hit
[12:47:30] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.16 -> small size
[12:47:39] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[12:47:48] <@wrbtrader> slowly increasing volatility
[12:48:24] <@wrbtrader> The WRB Hidden GAP of 1212pm - 1214pm est is still supporting this price action
[12:48:42] <@wrbtrader> eventhough the price action is in a low volatility tight trading range
[12:52:05] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 93.21 --> + 0.05
[12:55:56] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.01 -> small size
[12:56:08] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[12:56:18] <@wrbtrader> mid-range of that same WRB Hidden GAP
[12:56:40] <@wrbtrader> lets see if it can retest its S area @ 92.85
[12:56:53] <@wrbtrader> will need a volatility spike for such
[12:57:21] <@wrbtrader> I strongly doubt it can just slowly decline on contracting volatility
[12:58:34] <t4npaper> tos not working, bbl
[12:59:10] <@wrbtrader> Euro increasing volatility
[13:17:59] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Light Crude Oil CL Short @ 93.15 --> - 0.14
[13:18:00] <t4npaper> anyone know how to ping test thinkorswim servers?
[13:18:08] <@wrbtrader> increasing volatility
[13:18:53] <@wrbtrader> you need to find the IP of the server you're going to ping
[13:19:32] <t4npaper> right, its for the tos platform, I think i have been blocked
[13:20:17] <@wrbtrader> Try this...
[13:20:19] <@wrbtrader> http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/
[13:22:09] <@wrbtrader> Why would they block you...
[13:22:16] <@wrbtrader> You making threats ?
[13:22:18] <@wrbtrader> :)
[13:22:43] <t4npaper> sorry, ISAF has enforced blocking of sites lately
[13:23:17] <t4npaper> just got back from vac, new rules are in place...
[13:23:18] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.08 -> small size
[13:23:27] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[13:23:29] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[13:23:36] <@wrbtrader> what's ISAF ?
[13:24:27] <t4npaper> sorry, i meant KAF
[13:24:50] <t4npaper> kandahar air field general order
[13:25:07] <@wrbtrader> Ok...seems like TOS is not blocking you. In contrast, KAF is blocking you from using TOS and other sites.
[13:25:30] <t4npaper> yep, i need my TOS!
[13:25:40] <@wrbtrader> Why they blocking you from using TOS or other sites ?
[13:26:13] <t4npaper> not sure what's happening just yet
[13:26:21] <t4npaper> but kaf is blocking sites now
[13:26:32] <@wrbtrader> volatility spike
[13:34:42] <@wrbtrader> :(
[13:34:59] <Zr1trader> geeze finally got my good internet setup now. hopefully no more connection issues
[13:35:20] <@wrbtrader> no fill @ 92.88
[13:35:39] <@wrbtrader> Crude Oil CL futures is a killer on the fills sometimes
[13:35:59] <@wrbtrader> will try to get something else
[13:36:15] <@wrbtrader> lets see if that no fill works in my favor
[13:36:24] <@wrbtrader> hopefully I can market out at a lower price
[13:37:12] <Zr1trader> do you tighten trail under current bar if you don't get a fill or do you just close out at your own will ?
[13:37:46] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Light Crude Oil CL Short @ 92.96 --> + 0.12
[13:38:25] <@wrbtrader> I should'uv tighten trail but really didn't have a good price to find for such
[13:38:29] <@wrbtrader> Thus, marketed out
[13:39:16] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Light Crude Oil CL @ 92.96 -> small size
[13:39:20] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[13:39:23] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[13:39:54] <@wrbtrader> I've been hitting the Shorts aggressively without the size.
[13:40:17] <@wrbtrader> Soon I'll loose my patience and just give up on Crude Oil CL futures...
[13:40:25] <@wrbtrader> Usually such occurs for me this time of day
[13:40:41] <@wrbtrader> I'm just not comfortable in trading Crude Oil CL futures after 2pm est

[13:51:22] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[13:51:25] <@wrbtrader> re-entry

[13:55:05] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.25 -> medium size
[13:55:11] <@wrbtrader> 2+2
[13:55:56] <@wrbtrader> 93.15 still on my mind :(
[13:57:02] <@wrbtrader> volatility just dried up and 2pm est is approaching fast
[13:58:21] <@wrbtrader> the way Crude moves...need at least 10 tick wiggle room to properly react to a price retracement
[14:01:37] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 93.26 --> + 0.01
[14:19:42] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.66 -> medium size
[14:19:56] <@wrbtrader> that's fast

[14:22:48] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[14:23:00] <@wrbtrader> a lot ov volatility but choppy
[14:24:00] <@wrbtrader> Crude Oil CL futures the only thing moving now with the volatility spike
[14:24:09] <@wrbtrader> trailing @ profit
[14:25:05] <@wrbtrader> I'm hoping when the volatility dries up on the Crude Oil CL price action...
[14:25:26] <@wrbtrader> Emini futures will pick up the volatility so that I can move into the trading of Emini TF futures
[14:25:53] <@wrbtrader> right now...Emini TF is dead in the water
[14:26:07] <@wrbtrader> same with Emini ES futures price action trading
[14:26:08] <diesel_> big time
[14:26:15] <@wrbtrader> strange :(
[14:26:17] <diesel_> CL on a dash
[14:26:27] <diesel_> you got the mover
[14:26:54] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...I just jumped on the wagon that had already started moving fast
[14:27:28] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 93.97 --> + 0.33
[14:27:40] <@wrbtrader> Early exit
[14:28:00] <@wrbtrader> no WRB pt1 and no WRB Hidden GAP pt1
[14:28:11] <@wrbtrader> I got lost in the trade
[14:28:27] <@wrbtrader> WRB finally reached @ 94.09
[14:30:15] <@wrbtrader> still no reaction out of Emini futures
[14:30:54] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.93 -> small size
[14:31:00] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[14:31:33] <@wrbtrader> That interval that made the WRB pt1 has a S area @ 93.87
[14:32:07] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 93.89 --> - 0.04
[14:32:18] <@wrbtrader> trail didn't last too long :(
[14:32:49] <@wrbtrader> looks like I just got pick pocketed
[14:33:28] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 93.93 -> small size
[14:33:34] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[14:33:38] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[14:33:45] <@wrbtrader> same price action with same trail

[14:37:15] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 94.09 --> + 0.16
[14:38:22] <@wrbtrader> Both of Crude Oil CL futures strong price surges this afternoon came without any warning...
[14:38:37] <@wrbtrader> Yet, they had good follow through although choppy at times
[14:45:47] <@wrbtrader> I've had some recent big trades in Crude Oil CL futures but today's price was just "too fast" to react too.
[14:46:06] <@wrbtrader> Most of the time I was just "chasing"
[14:46:37] <Zr1trader> Yeah, saw 1500 lots go through in under 10 seconds which is pretty fast for crude.
[14:46:57] <Zr1trader> at 13:18 cst
[14:47:03] <@wrbtrader> Hindsight, what the heck was I doing earlier today in trying to hit Crude aggressively with those Short positions :(
[14:47:22] <@wrbtrader> luckily I didn't get caught with one of those big up spikes
[14:47:29] <@wrbtrader> very lucky
[17:06:02] <@wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow

Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience traders in price action trading.

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional price action trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
