##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRB, WRB Hidden GAP, WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time price action analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.

##TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of their trades and their market commentaries of each trading day...giving them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors. Your diary (journal).

Also, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you...please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).

Quote:
Chat room only for traders using concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are not required to post trades but if you do post trades...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding the price action you're trading. To log into ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions here at the FTCHAT Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 or via the the instructions from the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

[10:57:30] <@wrbtrader> Not a pretty trading day out of the gate but Oil CL futures saves the day again
[10:58:27] <@wrbtrader> Emini futures can be sometimes "seductive" in that they sometimes make you forget there's other key markets with trade opportunities
[10:58:38] <Bambam-77> do not discount oit its a nice mover
[10:59:31] <Bambam-77> oil and tf have similar charactoristics

[12:00:48] <@wrbtrader> re-entry

[12:02:02] <@wrbtrader> more hammer lines showing up
[12:02:03] <Bambam-77> the 1/2 pivot in tf is 901.1
[12:02:21] <Bambam-77> 909.1
[12:02:31] <Bambam-77> sorry for typo
[12:02:40] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 (shallow) reached :(
[12:03:25] <@wrbtrader> trade not worth the effort unless volatility shows up and takes it lower to a WRB pt2...not likely this time of day
[12:03:35] <Bambam-77> 904.5 is pos measured move trgt area
[12:05:25] <@wrbtrader> increasing volatility
[12:06:46] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 909.60 --> - 0.6
[12:08:43] <Bambam-77> in my humble opinion shorts are still good below 10.4
[12:09:11] <@wrbtrader> volatility contraction range 910.10 - 908.40
[12:09:50] <@wrbtrader> big enough to cause problems around the support / resistance areas of that range
[12:19:28] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF futures still stuck inside the range of the most recent volatility contraction.
[12:40:23] <Bambam-77> to sideways usually implys lower
[12:42:30] <Bambam-77> bracket is 908.4 x 909.4
[13:00:09] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 910.80 -> medium size
[13:00:17] <@wrbtrader> 4 contracts
[13:05:51] <@wrbtrader> back to 910.10 R area of the prior volatility contraction
[13:06:38] <@wrbtrader> In contrast, most recent (new) volatility contraction rang is 911.60 - 910.20
[13:06:40] <Bambam-77> tf still in tech dwntrend
[13:07:57] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 910.30 --> - 0.5
[13:09:09] <Bambam-77> we need to get over 11.4 for this to have any legs
[13:30:28] <canaandog> 130228 long EMD 1098.8; flat 1097.8 = -10t; exit error by 4t
[13:30:37] <Bambam-77> shorts still in control looking at the 1/2 bar
[13:30:45] <Bambam-77> tf
[13:31:09] <canaandog> 132737 short GC 1587.1; flat 1587.5 = +6t
[14:11:35] <canaandog> short CL 92.77; flat 92.76 = +1t
[14:12:09] <canaandog> short CL 92.81; flat 92.74 = +7t
[14:18:22] <canaandog> short CL 92.82; flat 92.80 = +2t
[15:18:21] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 903.50 -> large size
[15:18:29] <@wrbtrader> 5+1
[15:21:35] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 903.20 --> + 0.3
[15:22:04] <@wrbtrader> I think I've had a nasty snapback on almost every Short today in the Emini TF futures
[15:22:30] <@wrbtrader> It then picks off my trail and drops lower
[15:26:14] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 902.50 -> large size
[15:26:30] <@wrbtrader> retesting a long lower shadow
[15:26:35] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[15:26:43] <@wrbtrader> not a good price area for the intuition trade
[15:27:19] <@wrbtrader> another long shadow has formed
[15:28:16] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 902.30 --> + 0.2
[15:28:36] <@wrbtrader> back to back snap backs
[15:29:08] <@wrbtrader> :(
[15:29:18] <Zr1trader__> 6j big vol today
[15:29:55] <@wrbtrader> Do you know why the Japanese Yen is moving hard now ???
[15:30:25] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 901.80 -> large size
[15:30:32] <@wrbtrader> 6 contracts
[15:30:40] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[15:31:48] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 901.80 --> 0
[15:32:02] <@wrbtrader> sidelined
[15:32:52] <Zr1trader__> oh man
[15:33:02] <Zr1trader__> no idea why yen going nuts
[15:33:15] <Zr1trader__> guess exit door is crowded
[15:35:11] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 901.60 -> large size
[15:35:21] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...something has shaken up the markets
[15:35:25] <@wrbtrader> 6 contracts
[15:35:31] <@wrbtrader> re-entry again
[15:35:53] <@wrbtrader> snap back
[15:37:55] <MattR_> wow, that's wild
[15:41:13] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 899.40 --> + 2.2
[15:42:00] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF felt sorry for me and gave me something to keep me from having a temper tantrum about those "snap-backs" that continue taking my trail stops
[15:44:00] <Zr1trader__> Nice persistence through the snap back episode though. We all know how that can feel :)
[15:45:06] <Zr1trader__> when it feels like nomatter what you do, a man behind a curtain is just toying with your trades .
[15:45:55] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 897.80 -> medium size
[15:46:02] <@wrbtrader> 4 contracts
[15:46:06] <@wrbtrader> intuition
[15:46:59] <@wrbtrader> Bloomberg, CNBC and other networks saying this sudden volatility in the markets is due to news or "reaction" involving the Bank of Japan
[15:48:00] <canaandog> perhaps the PM's gambit has succeeded or failed
[15:49:39] <canaandog> BOJ been obstructing true QE for years
[15:52:29] <@wrbtrader> Oil CL futures volatility picking up too
[15:52:53] <@wrbtrader> This is setting up to be a "volatile" 4pm est rush hour traffic
[15:55:05] <@wrbtrader> tighten trail
[15:57:18] <@wrbtrader> VIX went crazy today
[16:01:28] <@wrbtrader> 4pm rush hour traffic "not" as volatile as I expected
[16:03:12] <@wrbtrader> Italian Elections, Bank of Japan...seems to be the news of the day
[16:04:01] <@wrbtrader> The Italian Elections is the only reason why I didn't do any small size trades today...
[16:04:12] <@wrbtrader> Volatility showed up in the overnight markets.
[16:04:27] <@wrbtrader> Thought it would be a good day to be aggressive on the position size today
[16:05:45] <@wrbtrader> Increasing volatility in the overnight session was in the Eurex DAX, FTSE100, CAC40 futures
[16:06:05] <@wrbtrader> in reaction to the Italian Elections
[16:12:07] <@wrbtrader> I didn't realize the DOW came within 84 points of an ALL TIME HIGH today...
[16:12:21] <@wrbtrader> I thought it was a few hundred points away...didn't know it was that close to it.
[16:12:52] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 896.70 --> + 1.1
[16:14:11] <@wrbtrader> Interesting last hour of trading...snap backs was very frustrating while the DOWN directional movement was obvious.
[16:15:02] <@wrbtrader> Most of my Emini TF trades profitable trail stops were hit today and then within seconds the market reversed back downwards.
[16:15:12] <@wrbtrader> That was very frustrating to watch
[16:15:42] <@wrbtrader> Take care all and see all tomorrow.
Session Close: Mon Feb 25 20:02:45 2013

##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.
