##TheStrategyLab (formerly known as #FuturesTrades) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to post real-time trades, real-time price action analysis or market commentaries involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to help develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.

##TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of their trades and their market commentaries of each trading day...giving them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors. Your diary (journal).

Also, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you...please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).

Quote:
Chat room only for traders using concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are not required to post trades but if you do post trades...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding the price action you're trading. [09:49:17] <Tigerman3> better wait for cheaper price
[09:50:43] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 880.70 -> large size
[09:50:57] <@wrbtrader> 9 contracts
[09:51:29] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF moving faster (more than it usually does) in comparison to the other Emini Futures
[09:51:51] <@wrbtrader> It recently did that the other day too by a wide margin (Friday or Thursday)
[09:52:11] <@wrbtrader> it became very difficult to trade because of such
[09:52:49] <@wrbtrader> I've been reading reports lately about "record number of investors" pouring money into the markets so far in January
[09:52:54] <Tigerman3> wrbtrader what do you think the reason of fast move in tf?
[09:53:12] <Tigerman3> low liquidity?
[09:53:12] <@wrbtrader> I wonder if a lot of Funds are moving into the Emini TF futures
[09:53:22] <wave1> y pension funds
[09:54:42] <@wrbtrader> Whatever is happening...something has changed in the dynamics of the Emini TF so far in January
[09:55:33] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 880.20 --> - 0.5
[09:55:36] <Tigerman3> too many changing
[09:55:47] <Tigerman3> simply it is hard to adapt
[09:55:58] <@wrbtrader> trying to go back inside the low volatility tight trading range
[09:56:29] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF is the best adaptable trading instrument out there
[09:56:49] <@wrbtrader> Whatever we see happening to it odd of the ordinary...it doesn't last too long
[09:57:31] <Tigerman3> why best adaptable because have more volatility vs others e-minis or what §?
[09:57:40] <@wrbtrader> Yes
[09:58:02] <Tigerman3> ok
[09:58:51] <Tigerman3> I see many instrument lose is correlation lately
[09:59:01] <Tigerman3> like cl and ho
[09:59:14] <Tigerman3> or usdchf vs eurusd
[09:59:40] <Tigerman3> and of course tf vs others e-minis
[10:00:20] <Tigerman3> simply it is harder every day more
[10:00:27] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 880.00 -> large size
[10:00:41] <Tigerman3> we all hope this bad condition stop
[10:00:49] <@wrbtrader> 9 contracts
[10:01:02] <@wrbtrader> Creeper Up Movement re-establish
[10:01:28] <@wrbtrader> only proble is that it did it at the top of that low volatility tight trading range :(

[10:02:42] <Tigerman3> tested and breaked
[10:03:02] <wave1> es strong
[10:03:05] <Tigerman3> we will see if it stops at his support
[10:03:11] <@wrbtrader> we're back inside the low volatility tight trading range :(
[10:03:29] <Tigerman3> yep :(
[10:07:14] <@wrbtrader> only reason why I'm still holding this Long position in Emini TF is because ES, NQ and YM are stabilize in a Creeper Up Movement
[10:07:28] <@wrbtrader> Yet, Emini TF is clearly the weaker of the bunch :(
[10:08:36] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 878.70 --> - 1.3
[10:08:47] <@wrbtrader> S area of WRB Hidden GAP retested
[10:08:52] <Tigerman3> seems TF is not listening others index

[10:12:14] <@wrbtrader> key markets not insync
[10:12:23] <@wrbtrader> I'm now expecting a volatility spike
[10:12:40] <@wrbtrader> Markets don't stay out of sync like this early in the trading session too long
[10:14:42] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 878.80 -> large size
[10:14:59] <@wrbtrader> 6 contracts
[10:15:02] <Tigerman3> what is incredible is also the unsync between russels index
[10:15:38] <Tigerman3> rut at his own
[10:15:55] <@wrbtrader> markets acting as if its "waiting" for a pending big news events
[10:16:03] <@wrbtrader> I don't see anyting big on my calendar
[10:16:31] <@wrbtrader> I know Pres. Obama is going to give a speach on proposed gun control laws
[10:16:32] <Tigerman3> everyone able to trade in this enviroment will made a killer when things improve :)
[10:16:33] <@wrbtrader> that's its
[10:16:42] <@wrbtrader> nothing big for today
[10:18:29] <@wrbtrader> wow
[10:18:32] <@wrbtrader> painful to watch
[10:19:01] <@wrbtrader> I'm starting to feel sorry for the Emini TF price action :)
[10:19:55] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 878.80 --> 0
[10:21:26] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 879.00 -> large size
[10:21:40] <@wrbtrader> 7 contracts
[10:21:54] <@wrbtrader> another re-entry
[10:22:14] <canaandog> that's twice with 7 contracts today... never seen you do 7 before
[10:22:40] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...trying a different size to break up my routine for the day
[10:24:16] <@wrbtrader> Today is one of the "rare" trading days where Emini NQ, ES and YM are moving upwards in a nice Creeper Up Movement...
[10:24:32] <@wrbtrader> While Emini TF is declining or in a tight trading range
[10:24:44] <@wrbtrader> something will give soon
[10:25:15] <MattyR> aapl driving NQ today
[10:26:23] <@wrbtrader> Obama schedule to speak in about 35 minutes
[10:26:29] <Tigerman3> I cant stay to look and doing nothing :)
[10:26:41] <@wrbtrader> I'll be pssst if a volatility spike shows up when he talks...
[10:27:03] <@wrbtrader> That would imply all of this crappy price action is about his "Gun Control Speech". :(
[10:27:37] <@wrbtrader> back to 880 price area
[10:28:54] <wave1> had the right bias cud not profit from es
[10:30:51] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 879.70 --> + 0.7
[10:31:14] <@wrbtrader> family problem right now...be back soon

[11:04:19] <@wrbtrader> 5+2
[11:06:50] <@wrbtrader> Exited Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 94.34 --> + 0.41
[11:07:44] <@wrbtrader> Lesson learn again and again...
[11:08:07] <@wrbtrader> Don't stick with a losing trading instrument in reference to the low volatility tight trading range of Emini TF futures
[11:08:41] <@wrbtrader> This is the primary reason why I don't exclusively trade Emini TF futures nor do I exclusively trade any other trading instrument
[11:09:49] <@wrbtrader> Light Crude Oil CL long signal was @ 93.87
[11:10:06] <@wrbtrader> it then drop a few ticks but I didn't get a fill
[11:10:19] <@wrbtrader> market in as a chaser @ 93.93

[11:25:52] <@wrbtrader> I got lucky because I missed the first signal in Oil CL futures @ 1032am est
[11:26:17] <@wrbtrader> That's when I had to deal with a family problem
[11:26:43] <@wrbtrader> Got lucky because when I came back...same signal was appearing again
[11:36:18] <wave1> mkt up move .

[11:46:00] <srini> i am newbee wrb
[11:46:10] <srini> just trying to establish a conversation
[11:46:13] <@wrbtrader> Ok
[11:46:31] <srini> wondering what you guys are trading and so on
[11:46:45] <@wrbtrader> You've read the chat logs or downloaded the WRB Analysis free study guide ???
[11:47:56] <@wrbtrader> I don't know what others are trading today but I've trade today the Emini TF and Light Crude Oil CL futures
[11:48:29] <@wrbtrader> We still have some members missing after moving the chat room from the Othernet to the Freenode current location
[11:49:13] <@wrbtrader> I know others trade Emini ES, Treasury ZB, Forex EurUsd, Eurex DAX, Emini NQ and Gold GC futures
[11:49:41] <@wrbtrader> and IWM and SPY
[11:49:53] <srini> thanks
[11:50:04] <@wrbtrader> These are trading instruments I've seen discussed in here in the past year or so
[11:50:05] <srini> i need to download wrb analysis
[11:50:29] <@wrbtrader> How did you find out about this room ?
[11:50:42] <srini> google
[11:50:49] <@wrbtrader> Ok
[12:01:52] <@wrbtrader> Emini YM still in a Creeper Up Movement while Emini TF continues in that tight trading range
[12:14:21] <srini> it logged me out
[12:14:52] <srini> as long as 64.25 es holds we should be seeing 1472 by close on es, if we break below that then 59.75 target
[13:12:51] * MattR_lunch is now known as MattR_
[13:19:31] <@wrbtrader> The action today is not Light Crude Oil CL futures
[13:20:09] <@wrbtrader> In contrast, Emini futures and Gold GC futures in their usual "mid day" low volatility tight trading ranges
[13:20:46] <@wrbtrader> to bad the key market events today didn't really shake things up
[13:29:19] <@wrbtrader> Gold GC futures pushing highe
[13:29:34] <@wrbtrader> increasing volatility
[13:36:59] <RyanD> Are you playing primarily creeper movements now @wrbtrader?
[13:38:56] <@wrbtrader> No
[13:39:36] <@wrbtrader> I'll analyze anything
[13:40:55] <@wrbtrader> Oil CL futures stuck inside the range of the WRB Hidden GAP @ 1312pm est on low volatility
[13:42:35] <@wrbtrader> Emini futures with long upper shadows
[13:42:51] <@wrbtrader> Key markets today still not insync
[13:43:09] <@wrbtrader> even the Eurex DAX futures coughing up very little today
[13:43:57] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 880.70 -> small size
[13:44:03] <@wrbtrader> correction
[13:44:20] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 880.70 -> small size
[13:44:24] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract
[13:45:00] <@wrbtrader> caught the retracement test of the R area of the WRB Hidden GAP @ 1332pm - 1334pm est
[13:47:20] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract only because of the mid day trading session stuck in a low volatility trading range
[13:52:16] <@wrbtrader> Now its starting to look like its going to be a shallow WRB pt1 :(
[13:55:37] <@wrbtrader> If Gold, EuroFX or Oil futures can show some movement (doesn't matter on the direction)...
[13:55:56] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF will be encourage to increase volatility
[13:56:04] <@wrbtrader> hopefully in the direction of my trade
[13:56:13] <@wrbtrader> So far, no help from other key markets
[13:57:14] <@wrbtrader> Forex EurUsd inside the range of the WRB Hidden GAP @ 1215pm - 1230pm est
[14:02:02] <@wrbtrader> Shallow WRB pt1 @ 881.10 :(
[14:03:02] <@wrbtrader> looks like the markets are asleep...
[14:03:13] <@wrbtrader> I'm yawning a few times now during this trade :)
[14:03:54] <@wrbtrader> shallow WRB pt2 reached
[14:07:30] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 881.00 --> + 0.3
[14:08:16] <@wrbtrader> it tried but that's normal for this time of day whenever its a low volatility tight trading range
[14:08:30] <@wrbtrader> lots of "shallow" WRB targets
[14:19:12] <@wrbtrader> Hopefully the key market events tomorrow will shake things up so that the remainder of the week produces good trade opportunities
[14:19:25] <srini> back
[14:19:58] <srini> es feeling heavy here
[14:20:17] <srini> will take a short 68.50
[14:24:59] <@wrbtrader> Gold slips, but demand prospects look good (MarketWatch) @ http://www.marketwatch.com/story/gold-p ... atest_news
[14:28:16] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 94.14 -> small size
[14:28:24] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[14:29:13] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[14:30:05] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 94.28 --> + 0.14
[15:19:17] <srini> back
[15:20:17] <@wrbtrader> srini...you having connection problems ???
[15:20:53] <@wrbtrader> You using mIRC, Trillian, web browser ???
[15:28:03] <srini> yes
[15:28:06] <srini> it times out
[15:28:22] <srini> es going into 64 area
[15:28:37] <srini> using web browser
[15:40:39] <@wrbtrader> It may be timing out for "inactivity"
[15:41:04] <@wrbtrader> depending upon your browser settings
[15:41:31] <@wrbtrader> I know it happens to me too whenver I used my browser but I'm not sure why
[15:41:47] <@wrbtrader> Yet, it has never done that when I'm using mIRC software
[15:43:43] <@wrbtrader> I'm still monitoring that WRB Hidden GAP @ 1330pm - 1335pm est especially its R area
[15:43:51] <@wrbtrader> It is a WRB Zone
[15:44:03] <@wrbtrader> in reference to the Emini TF futures
[15:44:49] <Tigerman3> last closing minutes now
[15:45:30] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF still stuck inside of a low volatility tight trading range
[15:45:46] <@wrbtrader> could be a boring 4pm est rush hour traffic
[15:47:02] <Tigerman3> in that case I stay aside
[15:51:20] <@wrbtrader> Overall, only a few of the key markets had any decent activities
[15:51:34] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF retesting that R area I mentioned earlier
[15:57:25] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 880.90 -> small size
[15:57:35] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[16:00:07] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 880.10 --> - 0.8
[16:00:32] <@wrbtrader> retest of the S area of that WRB Hidden GAP
[16:02:17] <srini> looking for 64.25 on es
[16:02:23] <srini> short from 67.75
[16:04:29] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF trading back inside the range of the first WRB Hidden GAP of the trading range that setup that first low volatility trading range
[16:06:36] <srini> thanks wrb
[16:06:40] <srini> good night guys
[16:06:44] <srini> see you tomorrow

##TheStrategyLab is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience

The purpose of ##TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called ##VolatilityTradingTSL or ##WRB_Analysis and they're not allowed to do such in ##TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that ##TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
