#TheStrategyLab (formerly known as #FuturesTrades) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using WRB Analysis by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to post real-time trades, real-time price action analysis or market commentaries involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners and experience) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.

#TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be only a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of their trades and their market commentaries of each trading day...giving them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors. Your diary (journal).

Also, if you want #TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you...please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).

[08:33:50] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 85.24 -> small size
[08:34:00] <@wrbtrader> 3 contracts
[08:34:28] <@wrbtrader> Light Crude Oil CL futures went into a Creeper Up Movement in reaction to the 0830am est key market event
[08:35:08] <@wrbtrader> KME was the CAD Building Permits
[08:35:33] <@wrbtrader> so far not much of a follow through price reaction
[08:35:55] <canaandog> good to know. I was wondering, what kme?
[08:36:32] <@wrbtrader> Key Market Event = KME
[08:39:35] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 85.15 --> - 0.09
[08:40:08] <@wrbtrader> key markets still insync but volatility is contracting now
[08:42:20] <@wrbtrader> Long Light Crude Oil CL @ 85.22 -> small size
[08:42:31] <@wrbtrader> 1+2
[08:42:37] <@wrbtrader> re-entry
[08:43:50] <@wrbtrader> Exited all Light Crude Oil CL Long @ 85.33 --> + 0.11
[08:44:05] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[08:44:28] * Looking up thestrategylab237 user info...
[08:51:43] <thestrategylab237> hi wrb- if in hiddengap if the bar following wrb is almost covering the gap but not completly-thus qualifying as hidden gap then would that be a strong or weak wrb hg zone?
[09:17:57] <@wrbtrader> The bar following the WRB Hidden GAP does not determine if the Hidden GAP is strong or weak
[09:19:07] <@wrbtrader> The only thing that determines how strong or weak (I prefer to say useful) a WRB Hidden GAP is the number of "retest".
[09:19:37] <@wrbtrader> Price action testing the WRB Hidden GAP and then retracing then later returning back to the range of the Hidden GAP and then leaving again...
[09:19:45] <@wrbtrader> repeating the process again and again.
[09:20:16] <@wrbtrader> That's the only way to determine how much of a "pivot" the WRB Hidden GAP (filled or unfilled) is behaving.
[09:20:47] <@wrbtrader> You just can not determine such via a "single interval" that occurs after the WRB Hidden GAP.
[09:24:07] <Trendtrader> gm all
[09:24:20] <+thestrategylab237> hi
[09:24:27] <leopcontesini> gm
[09:26:00] <+thestrategylab237> would you say a high vol wrb-hg is a strong zone?
[09:28:00] <@wrbtrader> vol = volume or volatility ?
[09:28:13] <+thestrategylab237> volume
[09:28:47] <@wrbtrader> Not all WRB HG will qualify as a WRB Zone. Thus, most WRB Hidden GAPs do not qualify as a WRB Zone.
[09:29:33] <@wrbtrader> With that said, volume doesn't determine if a WRB Hidden GAP becomes a WRB Zone nor does volume determine how strong a WRB Zone will be.
[09:29:56] <@wrbtrader> Like I said via my prior price action definition of "repeat testing...
[09:30:24] <@wrbtrader> That's the best way to determine the "strength" of a WRB Hidden GAP or WRB Zone...
[09:30:30] <@wrbtrader> It's hindsight only.
[09:30:40] <@wrbtrader> There's another way and it involves trade signals.
[09:31:03] <@wrbtrader> Thus, if you're using a trade signal that involves WRB Hidden GAPs...
[09:31:37] <@wrbtrader> You can then measure the performance of your "trade signals" to determine if a particular type of WRB Hidden GAP is strong or weak.
[09:31:37] <+Trendtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 811.4
[09:31:39] <+Trendtrader> x3
[09:31:59] <+Trendtrader> Covered 2/3 Emini TF Short @ 810.4 --> + 1
[09:32:14] <enotundr_> hi wrbtrader, i also have a question in relation to your latest trade. as i understand the WRB pt1 here means filling the gap on 15min. how far and deep one should go between different timeframes when identifying WRB Hidden GAP areas? what timeframes were you looking at before going long?
[09:32:23] <+Trendtrader> Covered Remainder Emini TF Short @ 811.3 --> + 0.1
[09:33:37] <@wrbtrader> enotundr...on the CL trade I was looking at the 5min and 2min chart.
[09:34:06] <@wrbtrader> my WRB pt1 did not involve a "filling of a gap"
[09:34:31] <@wrbtrader> It was a simple (basic) WRB pt1 = exiting the trade when a WRB appeared
[09:35:01] <@wrbtrader> Yet, I was aware of the nearby WRB Zone that happen to coincide with the simple WRB exit I did
[09:35:32] <@wrbtrader> Timeframe use is trading style specific
[09:36:01] <@wrbtrader> For example, if you're a day trader...you're obviously arent going to be day trading via daily or weekly chart time frames.
[09:36:25] <+enotundr_> true )
[09:36:38] <@wrbtrader> If your a scalper...you're obviously going to be looking at something like 1min or less (continuous tick charts)
[09:36:58] <@wrbtrader> I have on my monitors the 15min, 5min, 3min and 2min charts.
[09:37:26] <+leopcontesini> don u use 1 min?
[09:37:30] <+leopcontesini> dont*
[09:37:56] <@wrbtrader> I only use 1min chart in unusual expected "high volatility" conditions (e.g. FOMC announcement)
[09:38:18] <@wrbtrader> Simply, I normally do not use the 1min chart
[09:39:50] <+enotundr_> thanks. scalping is like driving a car very very fast )
[09:41:42] <+leopcontesini> i like to enter by the 1 min chart
[09:41:57] <@wrbtrader> Scalping is tough...too many traders do it without realizing if they don't have special commission rates...it won't be profitable.
[09:42:26] <@wrbtrader> better get an "exchange seat" if someone wants to primarily scalp
[09:43:24] <+leopcontesini> its too stressful to scalp
[09:44:49] <@wrbtrader> SPY continuing its slow creeper down price action
[09:47:57] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 809.70 -> large size
[09:48:07] <@wrbtrader> 6 contracts
[09:49:41] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 809.50 --> + 0.2
[09:50:12] <@wrbtrader> I thought that trail would be able to survive any wiggle backs

[10:35:44] <@wrbtrader> tried to catch it with 4 contracts
[10:36:58] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 (shallow) reached @ 814.40 due to the prior volatility contraction
[10:37:27] <@wrbtrader> not much help from other key markets
[10:39:19] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 814.40 --> + 0.2

[14:50:08] <@wrbtrader> The answer is NO.
[14:50:35] <@wrbtrader> I only trade it when I can wake up in time to trade the best price action for it.
[14:51:00] <+leopcontesini_> is the volatily bigger before american markets open?
[14:51:12] <@wrbtrader> Yes...just look at the charts
[14:52:34] <@wrbtrader> EuroFX 6E futures is not a good trading instrument for me to trade during the U.S. markets regular trading session (9:30am est - 4:00pm est)...

[14:54:21] <@wrbtrader> still in a Creeper Movement price action

-------------------------

#TheStrategyLab is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience

The purpose of #TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Commonly discussed trading instruments from stocks, futures, exchange traded funds and forex currencies:

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
