#TheStrategyLab (formerly known as #FuturesTrades) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis and any trader (position trader, swing trader and day trader) can use the chat room to post their real-time trades, real-time price action analysis or market commentaries involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades, price action analysis or market commentaries in comparison to other free chat rooms.

#TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be only a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day and this gives them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners and experience) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.

Also, if you want #TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you...please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).

Quote:
Chat room only for traders using concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use #TheStrategyLab are not required to post trades but if you do post trades...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding the price action you're trading. To log into #TheStrategyLab chat room...please follow the instructions here at the FTCHAT Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 or for registered members of the chat room at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

Note: Registration is not allowed here at the FTCHAT Forum...it is allowed at the TSL Forum (link above) that provides support for the #TheStrategyLab chat room.

[11:13:58] <+Brian> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 847.6 --> + 0.3
[11:16:47] <+Brian> Long Emini TF @ 846.6
[11:17:30] <+Brian> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 846.9 --> + 0.3
[11:20:09] <+Brian> when it comes to getting out of an entry way to early and not letting the profits ride some i may very well be the master at that
[11:44:47] <+Brian> Long Emini TF @ 848.0
[11:48:08] <+Brian> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 848.3 --> + 0.3

[12:05:05] <@wrbtrader> 1 contract
[12:05:19] <@wrbtrader> Creeper Up Movement
[12:05:53] <@wrbtrader> I have a WRB Hidden GAP @ 1142am - 1144am est supporting the current Creeper Movement
[12:06:17] <@wrbtrader> initial stop/loss protection is the R area of that WRB Hidden GAP
[12:06:32] <@wrbtrader> Yet, as usual, I don't let my hard stops manage my trades.
[12:07:02] <@wrbtrader> They are there for emergency reasons to prevent discipline problems or computer problems
[12:08:11] <@wrbtrader> Hard stop 847.80
[12:08:22] <@wrbtrader> mental stop @ 848.30
[12:08:46] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 848.30 --> - 0.5
[12:08:53] <+canaandog> they heard you :)
[12:09:02] <@wrbtrader> That's how I manage my losing trades...
[12:09:05] <@wrbtrader> Via two stops
[12:09:19] <@wrbtrader> A hard stop and mental stop
[12:10:32] <@wrbtrader> I don't let the price action hit my hard stops unless the price action moves extremely fast after my entry where I don't have the time to react to exit the loser earlier...minimizing the loss
[12:11:25] <@wrbtrader> My trading took a big leap in profits when I started using that TWO STOP (hard stop with mental stop) trade management approach
[12:11:45] <@wrbtrader> That was around 2001
[12:14:29] <+canaandog> wouldn't hard=mental (at the nearer level) be about the same?
[12:14:44] <@wrbtrader> No
[12:14:56] <+canaandog> or is allowing for discretion at mental stop point that important
[12:15:05] <@wrbtrader> Long Emini TF @ 848.20 -> small size
[12:15:10] <@wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[12:15:28] <@wrbtrader> Hard stop should be based upon your "trade management rules"...whatever that may be.
[12:16:31] <@wrbtrader> Mental stops (smaller than the hard stop) should be based upon your "trading experience" that tells you its going to be a loser...therefore, you need to exit now before it becomes a bigger loser when it hits your hard stop :)
[12:16:50] <+Brian> i have a hard stop of 7 ticks and a hard profit of 7 ticks that both are entered automatically when i enter a trade, i try to move them as the profit goes in my favor but i get out to early a lot of times
[12:17:33] <@wrbtrader> Emini TF struggling now to stay about the R area of the earlier mentioned WRB Hidden GAP
[12:21:48] <@wrbtrader> S area @ 847.30
[12:22:17] <@wrbtrader> Exited Emini TF Long @ 847.50 --> - 0.7
[12:22:20] <+Brian> Shorts Emini TF @ 847.5
[12:25:18] <+Brian> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 847.4 --> + 0.1
[12:26:54] <@wrbtrader> Shorts Emini TF @ 847.00 -> small size
[12:27:00] <@wrbtrader> 2 contracts
[12:27:04] <+Brian> again the trade moves in my favor as i gear out way to early
[12:32:54] <@wrbtrader> Covered all Emini TF Short @ 845.90 --> + 1.1
[12:33:00] <@wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[12:33:51] <+Brian> Long Emini TF @ 846.4
[12:34:42] <@wrbtrader> basically a "churn" between the last 3 trades
[12:36:09] <+Brian> Exited all Emini TF Long @ 846.6 --> + 0.2
[12:40:39] <@wrbtrader> Horrible price action in Oil CL futures today
[12:41:10] <@wrbtrader> Unusual to see it with all those long shadows (chop) cince 0800am est

[14:10:32] <+T4n_paper> probably a full stop
[14:15:32] <+T4n_paper> nope
[14:17:16] <+T4n_paper> e 847.5 0
[14:17:53] <+T4n_paper> could not take the low vol any more
[14:22:38] <@wrbtrader> About a 5 point range in Emini TF since 1100am est
[14:23:17] <@wrbtrader> Simarily, Emini ES about about 4 point range
[14:23:58] <@wrbtrader> During normal volatility (not extreme low like now)...Emini TF futures would have DOUBLE the range size difference in comparison to Emini ES
[14:24:25] <@wrbtrader> That's how much volatility Emini TF has typically lost in the past two months
[14:27:17] <@X> #TheStrategyLab -> Chat room for day traders, swing traders, position traders using concepts from WRB Analysis to help improve the performance of their trade signal strategies. WRB Analysis free study guide @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... =119&t=718

[17:42:18] <@X> #TheStrategyLab -> Your use of this chat room implies you're using concepts from WRB Analysis to help trade either Stocks, Emini Futures (EMD, TF, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (6E, EC), Eurex/Euronext Futures (DAX, ESTX50, FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), Oil Futures (Brent, CL, NG, HO, QM), Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, XLE, QQQ, SPY), Forex Currencies (GbpUsd, EurUsd, EurYen, UsdCad) or other key market price actions.

-------------------------

#TheStrategyLab is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader (position trading, swing trading, day trading) can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience

The purpose of #TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: chat logs saved (timestamp) from Québec, Canada in eastern daylight time
