#TheStrategyLab (formerly known as #FuturesTrades) is free along with being a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis and any trader can use the chat room to post their real-time trades, real-time price action analysis or market commentaries involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Further, although our chat room is smaller than the other popular chat rooms...we are the most active chat room in posting trades, price action analysis or market commentaries in comparison to other free chat rooms.

#TheStrategyLab is primarily designed to be only a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a real time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day and this gives them a better understanding of their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners and experience) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to develop a better understanding of the price action (market context) they're trading...improving their position size management and trade management after entry.

Also, if you want #TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational for you...please ask questions instead of lurking (not participating in conversations).

Quote:
Traders that use #TheStrategyLab are not required to post trades but if you do post trades...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.

With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding the price action you're trading. To log into #TheStrategyLab chat room...please follow the instructions here at the FTCHAT Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/ftchat/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 or for registered members of the chat room at the TSL Support Forum @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/viewforum.php?f=164

Note: Registration is not allowed here at the FTCHAT Forum...it is allowed at the TSL Forum (link above) that provides support for the #TheStrategyLab chat room.

[10:41:31] <@wrbtrader> FYI - If you're getting frequently disconnected in here like Jacques/JML (same person)...
[10:42:11] <@wrbtrader> Its a router issue or Othernet server issue (not mIRC software issue unless you've set it up wrong)
[10:42:59] <@wrbtrader> I use to have the same problems a few years back when I bought a "new router".
[10:43:07] <@wrbtrader> constant disconnections
[10:43:42] <@wrbtrader> so I switch back to a "newer version" of my old router.
[10:43:51] <@wrbtrader> disconnection problems went away
[10:44:42] <@wrbtrader> Other times...its the Othernet server itself but in those cases...others in here too will have the same disconnection problems about the "same time".

[11:17:12] <@wrbtrader> Its got a grip lock hold on the price action
[11:17:42] <@wrbtrader> Not rough...just not getting anywhere
[11:18:19] <@wrbtrader> It'll eventually move strongly...just hope it doesn't do such when I start doing my rest periods from trading
[11:28:24] <+Fleneer> welll, FWIW I went into the hole with mu forst trade and spent the morning recovering lossees. It's Friday and options expiring so combine that with the low volume I think I'll just quit here and go to the beach. :o)

[15:54:23] <@wrbtrader> went 4 contracts when I wanted to go 1 contract on a loser :(
[15:54:34] <+Brian> lol
[15:55:01] <@wrbtrader> will change my 1 and 4 keys on my computer next time
[15:55:03] <@wrbtrader> :)
[15:55:36] <@wrbtrader> or use the auto sets I have
[15:55:39] <+Brian> you don't use hotkeys?
[15:55:46] <+Brian> ahh there you go
[15:55:59] <@wrbtrader> Yeah...only use them when the price action is moving fast....not slow.
[15:56:10] <@wrbtrader> When its slow...I usually manually input it.
[15:56:26] <@wrbtrader> By the way, I only see your messages when I have the IRC window open.
[15:56:46] <@wrbtrader> I use a special script that allows me to send messages in here when the window is "minimize".
[15:56:59] <@wrbtrader> Thus, if you send a message to me when my window is minimize...
[15:57:17] <@wrbtrader> I don't see it UNLESS you include the words "wrbtrader" in your message.
[15:57:32] <@wrbtrader> If that happens...I hear a beeping sound
[15:57:39] <+Brian> ahh gotcha
[15:57:49] <@wrbtrader> I use that to prevent the chat room from being a distraction.
[15:57:59] <@wrbtrader> Don't want to know what others are doing :)
[15:58:14] <+Brian> i dont see to many people talking but that's prob a good thing
[15:58:21] <+Brian> to some extent i guess
[15:58:25] <@wrbtrader> Not really...
[15:58:42] <@wrbtrader> Usually the lurkers are the ones that eventually complain they have trade problems :(
[15:59:22] <@wrbtrader> We had 4 regulars in here once for about 2 years...
[15:59:28] <@wrbtrader> never posted a single message.
[15:59:42] <@wrbtrader> One day one of them disappears
[16:00:05] <@wrbtrader> I emailed him about 2 months later and he said he's been having consistent losses for about a year.
[16:00:17] <@wrbtrader> Plus he said the chat room wasn't helpful.
[16:00:23] <+Brian> and he never asked for help? doenst make much sense
[16:00:43] <@wrbtrader> I responded to him it wasn't helpful because he never asked for help from "anyone" in here.
[16:00:56] <@wrbtrader> Yep...well...that's usually the case.
[16:01:26] <@wrbtrader> Nobody can read minds in here...gotta talk if/when confused or having problems.
[16:01:53] <+Brian> yea, crazy people will waste money like that and not ask about something
[16:03:57] <+Brian> oh btw wrbtrader i posted a couple DoKs in my private section for when you get some time
[16:04:01] <@wrbtrader> Today was one of those days where "position size management" becomes a key issue.
[16:04:18] <@wrbtrader> Didn't take big hits on any size increase, kepted the losses small...
[16:04:39] <@wrbtrader> Then caught a little nice runner with size increase to get me profitable for the day.
[16:05:07] <@wrbtrader> change my size with the changes in volatility
[16:05:12] <+Brian> i'm +21 ticks on my simulator
[16:06:13] <@wrbtrader> I made enough to cover costs today plus take the kids out for sushi dinner :)
[16:06:39] <@wrbtrader> not much
[16:07:41] <+Brian> i need to learn to be more patient, i could of had more but jumped out while i was profitable
[16:18:04] <ajax> pateince & fear are the keys.... :)
[16:20:57] <@wrbtrader> I believe being impatient is because we had a bias about the goals.
[16:21:18] <@wrbtrader> Thus, if the goals are too high or not realistic...
[16:22:18] <@wrbtrader> We tend to become impatient when we realize we aren't moving in the right direction to reach the goals or we're unable to manage the TIME of possesion in a trade.
[16:22:25] <@wrbtrader> Example of the latter...
[16:22:46] <@wrbtrader> Pretend your stats say you're average trade length is 12 minutes.
[16:23:23] <@wrbtrader> Then one day you're at a small profit in a open trade but not near your profit target
[16:23:48] <@wrbtrader> then you notice you've been in the trade for 15 minutes...3 minutes longer than you're normally in a trade.
[16:24:11] <@wrbtrader> Those 3 minutes don't seem long but you're mind will know even if you're not watching the clock.
[16:24:26] <@wrbtrader> You'll feel it via becoming "impatient"
[16:25:12] <@wrbtrader> That's why its critical to develp a "trading routine", "habits" or patterns in your daily trading rituals.
[16:25:39] <+Brian> i see
[16:25:41] <@wrbtrader> Your mind becomes use to how you "tend" to interact with the markets.
[16:26:16] <@wrbtrader> Then when you deviate from that plan...it'll show up as an emotional response (e.g. not being patient).
[16:26:36] <@wrbtrader> I had 4 consecutive losing trades although small losses.
[16:26:58] <@wrbtrader> I remained patient only because I had NOT deviated from my trading plan.
[16:27:17] <@wrbtrader> Had I deviated from my trading plan with those losses...
[16:28:04] <@wrbtrader> an emotional reaction would have occurred to sabotage the remainder of my trading day or until recalibrate sort'uv speak to get back in the right mind frame.
[16:32:56] <@X> #TheStrategyLab -> Chat room for traders using concepts from WRB Analysis to understand "market context" and to help improve the performance of your trade signal strategies. WRB Analysis free study guide @ http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum ... =119&t=718

[16:43:41] <+Brian> have a good weekend

-------------------------

#TheStrategyLab is free and is a serious professional trading chat room involving WRB Analysis in which any trader can use the chat room to post their trades or commentaries about stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. Simply, you don't need to be a client of TheStrategyLab.com to use the chat room nor do you need to be a price action only trader (no indicators) because some members use indicators while others do not. Yet, the only requirement is that you want to learn WRB Analysis.

Therefore, we welcome all traders that want to learn about WRB Analysis regardless if they are beginners or experience

The purpose of #TheStrategyLab is that it's designed to be a trade journal for documentation purposes only so that members can have a time stamp archive of trades and market commentaries of each trading day so that they can better understand their broker statements from one trade to the next trade when they review their performance numbers on any given trading day.

Further, members are not obligated to educate nor help other members but members are encourage to ask questions about any trades or market commentaries that's posted by others because sometimes the answers contains useful trading tips.

In addition, our primary job in the free chat room is to moderate the room (keep the peace) because with so many members using different trade signal methods along with different opinions about the market...debates or arguments can easily flare up without moderating. In addition, our presence in the chat room is to ensure it's a spam free chat room during trading although these archived chat logs may contain advertisements for guest visitors.

Also, to prevent the usual mix-up about our different chat rooms, most of our fee-base clients do not use chat rooms just like most retail traders do not use chat rooms. Yet, the few clients that do use chat rooms, our fee-base clients are discussing market analysis or price action only trade signals via concepts from our strategies in the private chat rooms called #VolatilityTradingTSL or #SwingTradingTSL and they're not allowed to do such in #TheStrategyLab.

Reminder, our Terms of Use (TOU) Policy is a must read to prevent any misunderstandings along with revealing that #TheStrategyLab is a serious professional trading chat room and we expect members to act professional. Also, these logs may have been edited (rarely) to remove any messages that a member has complained to me via private message that they consider a particular commentary to be inappropriate, offending or too far in the off topic area that's a distraction when the commentary was posted.

Note: All logs regardless to their location at TheStrategyLab.com website are eastern standard time.
