[11:40] The high price of the Shooting Star was 630.40 [11:40] More importantly... [11:41] The price action after that Shooting Star needed to pullback (which it did) and not have any candlesticks that complete themselves below the support (open) of the White WRB... [11:41] 0,3 Long ES @ 1207.25 4,0 ŤŤ paper ťť [11:42] This allows me a two possible Long strategies if such occurs... [11:43] The white candlestick that closed at 1057am est for a price of 629.90 is an ADD signal had I gotten a prior Long entry below that price... [11:44] * LesC is now known as les [11:44] A breakout signal based on the price action of that Dark Shooting Star 630.40 [11:45] However, because of the volume distribution in the upper shadow of the shooting star... [11:45] Not a good entry plan to enter above that 630.40 [11:46] 630.40 is the worst case entry so I put an ADD order at that price. [11:46] Shooting Stars are one of the most difficult candlestick patterns to Short... [11:46] Not very reliable if you don't understand that the price action after them is critical. [11:47] Most try to trade (enter immediately) as soon as they see any kind of a Shooting Star for those that trade candlestick patterns. [11:48] In addition, ER2 had a nice strong pivot off that dark candlestick line that closed at 1054am est via the 3min chart... [11:48] niha so never S the shoting stra candle? [11:49] That told me there will be follow-through beyond the 630.40 high price of the Dark Shooting Star. [11:49] Sometimes I load up on the contracts in situations like this... [11:49] However, today I wanted to keep things light today and protect the months profits. [11:50] pat255...there's one particular type of Shooting Star that I do Short immediately.
