First
of all, if your a new trader to the Emini Futures EMD, ES, NQ, TF (formerly
ER2) or YM...
We highly highly
recommend you get educated about the Eminis via the following prior to your first trade or
prior to returning to trading after being away from the markets to improve
your chances of becoming a consistently profitable trader:
Futures Intermarket Analysis
Avoid the stuff
involving fancy software, indicators, black box systems and arbitrage.
WRB Analysis or Volatility Analysis
Position Size Management
Trader Psychology
Yeah, it's mumbo
jumbo until you hit your first drawdown, single day blowup or anxiety while
trading.
Professional Trader Forums
Stay away from
forums where you see a lot of arguing, mudslinging or any other behaviour
that can easily suck you in and keep you mentally not ready to be a
consistently profitable trader. Simply, the best forums are ones that
requires you to identify yourself or explain why you want to join prior to
approving your membership.
Chat Rooms
Find a free chat
room that's small and very active with market commentaries and real-time
trade posting.
With that said, you
can contact me about any of the above for recommendations and I will help
but only after finding out more about your trading style and goals.
Therefore, we have a
new discussion forum (it's free to join) at the below link for
traders to ask questions about trading itself or about our fee-base resources for traders wanting to
learn advance trading methods to profitably trade the Emini Futures.
http://www.thestrategylab.com/tsl/forum/
In addition, you can
receive free education prior to paying a single penny. Yet, we cannot help
you if you do not join or you join but do not ask questions.
Further, those
traders that do join and ask questions...you'll become eligible for any
discounts involving our fee-base education material as our way of saying
thank you for helping our new discussion forum to become active.
Also, if your a
serious trader regardless full-time or part-time, if your looking for a
free futures chat room to hang out with other serious traders...please
join our #FuturesTrades chat room and there's more information about the
chat room via it's support forum at the below link.

Midcap 400 Emini EMD futures
The Emini EMD
futures is slowly gaining popularity as its liquidity increases and for
those futures traders that prefer to trade an Emini that's not as well
followed (less liquidity) as the other trading instruments.
Also, it gained some popularity
when the ER2 moved from the CME to the ICE over at
the NYBOT because the price action of EMD is very similar to the ER2.
Russell
2000 Emini TF futures (formerly ER2)
The Emini ER2
futures is popular among traders using a volatility based trade
methodology and is becoming more popular with experienced retail traders in
comparison to institutions that trade it.
S&P
500 Emini ES futures
The Emini ES futures is the most liquid of the
Emini Futures and that makes it popular
among the institutions that trade it because they can do large size
positions with very little slippage along with ES being one of the bench
mark trading instruments for intermarket analysis.
Also, retail traders
are more attracted to the ES because it is the most marketed and discussed
trading instrument online.
Nasdaq
100 Emini NQ futures
The Emini NQ futures
tends to be popular among traders that trade both the futures and the
related exchange traded funds. Therefore, its popular for those that also
trade the QQQQ in comparison to SPY, IWM or DIA.
Mini-sized
Dow YM futures
The mini-sized Dow
YM futures is popular among new traders to the Emini Futures because of its
low dollar value per tick until they gain more trading experience with
success prior to moving into the other trading instruments that tend to be
more popular among experienced traders and institutions.
If you have any
questions about the above Emini Futures or want to learn more about
profitable strategies to use while trading these instruments regardless if
your a day trader, swing trader or position trader...
