i've been trading 1s and 2s for the past month or so, 2s on my "bread n' butter" signals, and 1s on trades I take on the fly...
while I think that max profit is probably achieved by "sensible" scaling out...
trading 1 lot REALLY forces you to assess R:R fairly and not get out too early. It's been good for me.10:40

one practice i've stopped when i scale out with 2 contracts is the common one of automatically moving my stop to BE on the remaining contract16:35

unless you REALLY think that it should be moved up based on new market action16:42

eg, bottoms, you get long, it goes up, comes back down...

makes a new, higher low; goes back up to make a new higher high...16:43

then moving the stop below that second low makes sense, not otherwise..

JUST my humble opinion

i'm sure others have a different view
