Profit/Loss Statement

General Strategy Info: The above profit/loss info represents trades by M.A. Perry (a.k.a. NihabaAshi) only and all trades were posted in realtime as shown in the below chat log.

Although I'm not familiar with the trade methods used by most members of #FuturesTrades, I use a rule based (no subjectivity) methodology that involves WRB Analysis.

In fact, many of my trades or profit targets will occur within key WRB support/resistance zones because these price areas gives me a better understanding of key changes in supply demand.

Traditional pivot point analysis or traditional s/r levels are inadequate in understanding changes in supply/demand of the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 or any other trading instrument of today's markets in comparison to WRB Analysis.

WRB Analysis is also a key aspect in my use of intermarket analysis (ex. Oil and Gold), market seasonal tendencies, volatility analysis and custom Japanese Candlestick patterns to complete my trading plan that results in consistent profits.

Further, position size management is a key aspect of my trading and I trade any where between 1 to 9 contracts per trade depending upon the volatility, pattern signal, seasonal tendencies or intuition.

All of my trades and commentary for today's market action (posted below) are via the user name NihabaAshi (Japanese Candlestick term) and I exclusively trade the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 futures even though I closely monitor other key markets so that I'll have a better understanding of ER2 price action.

With that said, today's trade posting chat log is below and it contains all my trades that were posted in realtime along with the trades of other members of #FuturesTrades.

<les> it predicts a move through this stuff below..

and i'm just not that convinced by the price action
<Tim_a1> it sucks you in, moves against, and holds you in hell14:50
<ItalianSharp> i think no system works well in chop
<Nesi> sometimes intuition works...imo
<les> but a signal is a signal....
<Nesi> more than indicators
<ItalianSharp> unless you fade teh extremes

problem is...teh moment you start fading extremes...they become more extreme...:)

i'll exit after it goes nowhere for a while..
then it'll plunge14:54
but if i stay in...
big rise for sure
<Guest35179> maybe we'll have a repeat of yesterday afternoon
<les> maybe too many people are being programmed by that14:55
today

<GoodMood> we all are "they", arn't we ?
<Tim_a1> as much as all fish in a pond are fish, but there are different size classes15:05
<Nesi> feels to me next area around 842.5.. imho15:06
<Tim_a1> some are minnows, others are muskies
<Brutus> stop drive15:09
<GoodMood> and is the market really "moved" by those big playsers, I mean do they help each other and behave like a soccer team ?15:10
<les> no - they compete with eadch other all the time methinks15:11
and with us
mostly i believe we r too small for them to bother with
<Brutus> no I believe the biggest fish work together15:12
<les> agree.. maybe some do sometimes
<Brutus> or in other words they know each others or the markets moves
<les> if u were trading for a large fund, u'd also have your charts running, trying to predict what the other big guys r up to
thats my take on it
<Brutus> the obective is transfer of wealth from us to them15:13
<les> also i guess u'd watch ecnomic factors, news government announcments
<Brutus> an that occure on maximum volatility15:14
<Tim_a1> yesterday's downdraft midpoint pivot is today's magnet
<les> also - they play with much bigger money, so can afford to ride out wrong decisions more easily
<Brutus> while if they worked against each other it would create more chop
<Tim_a1> they also have enough capital to engineer 'fakes'15:15
<Brutus> Obective is the maximise the moves along the path of least resistance
<Tim_a1> but to their disadvantage, the cant get in or out at one price
<Brutus> yeah fakes allow loading at the best prices and to ensure retail is last on board
<les> agree Tim... but i think that some players may tthrow out a few bucks to test direction..15:16

see if any more climb on board

if not they prob exit or reverse
<Tim_a1> i've started to look at 'volume dojies' for price pivots
<les> aslo, lotta them are not day tradeers anyway15:17
<Nesi> if ER goes around 844.50 area..my risky feel we dive to 840 magnet
imo
<les> so u may get exits and entries that relate to larger timeframes and misinterpret them to relate to intraday action
<Nesi> and i know i am being biased..and forming an opinion its not a good thing15:18
<les> oh i dunno ...its nice to speculate now & again :)

dont base my trade decisions on it15:19
