Profit/Loss Statement

General Strategy Info: The above profit/loss info represents trades by M.A. Perry (a.k.a. NihabaAshi) only and all trades were posted in realtime as shown in the below chat log.

Although I'm not familiar with the trade methods used by most members of #FuturesTrades, I use a rule based (no subjectivity) methodology that involves WRB Analysis.

In fact, many of my trades or profit targets will occur within key WRB support/resistance zones because these price areas gives me a better understanding of key changes in supply demand.

Traditional pivot point analysis or traditional s/r levels are inadequate in understanding changes in supply/demand of the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 or any other trading instrument of today's markets in comparison to WRB Analysis.

WRB Analysis is also a key aspect in my use of intermarket analysis (ex. Oil and Gold), market seasonal tendencies, volatility analysis and custom Japanese Candlestick patterns to complete my trading plan that results in consistent profits.

Further, position size management is a key aspect of my trading and I trade any where between 1 to 9 contracts per trade depending upon the volatility, pattern signal, seasonal tendencies or intuition.

All of my trades and commentary for today's market action (posted below) are via the user name NihabaAshi (Japanese Candlestick term) and I exclusively trade the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 futures even though I closely monitor other key markets so that I'll have a better understanding of ER2 price action.

With that said, today's trade posting chat log is below and it contains all my trades that were posted in realtime along with the trades of other members of #FuturesTrades.

<NihabaAshi> Grabbed a WRB pt1 exit especially after I got nailed for trying to get greedy in that prior Long position.

Brutus, had I not hesitated I could have gotten 856.80 as soon as I noticed no support for that price spurt.10:50

<Tim_a1> looks like a 'stand aside' to me11:02

most days hidsight shows me the best entries

i try to forece myself to wait for them11:03
<NihabaAshi> So far, today's price action is setting up to be a day of "contracting volatility".11:04
If it completes the day like that (contracting volatility)...
<Tim_a1> spx daily seems to be a 'rising wedge'11:05
<NihabaAshi> I'll be looking for a trend day or strong price movement in the morning tomorrow, next Monday or Tuesday.
Someone once asked in here many months ago how to tell when trend day's are most likely to occur...11:06
That's the answer I gave then and now.
Contracting Volatility is a precursor to TREND
<eminitrader>  Exited ES Long @ 1581 --> + 0.5 11:10

<NihabaAshi> Thus, don't let anyone brainwash you into thinking you can't determine when a TREND day is most likely to occur :)11:11

<NihabaAshi> volatility spike right now

They jump to my consideration list after getting connection to Euronext exchange
<bern> although their euronext connection is only working for the moment for euronext london13:03

euronext liffe

not euronext paris and others13:04

so you can trade ftse but not cac
<NihabaAshi> Ahhh...ok...thanks for the headsup about that.
<bern> i asked and they told me that would implement in future but that was 1 month ago and no news13:05
<NihabaAshi> DAX and CAC40 are my favorite trading instruments...I prefer them then trading ER2.13:06
<bern> you should consider moving to old Europe :)
<Guest35179> what are the trading hours for cac40
<NihabaAshi> However, due to family reasons...I'm unable to get up that early in the morning to properly trade the DAX and CAC40 in comparison to the past when I was single :)
<bern> :)13:07
<Pepe> :)
<NihabaAshi> I would need to get up around 1am est in the morning.13:08
Spouse doesn't mind me going to bed late (1am est) but getting up that early is too tough.

Now a Dark Hammer Line is trying to form :(
<ItalianSharp> YM seems to have a mind of its own...earlier today when all eminis were bullish YM was bearish...now all eminis look more bearish and YM is still within striking distance from new fresh highs13:40
basically...YM is decisive factor for major moves...if YM breaks down, we may see some nice selloff13:41
<codehead> was thinking the same thing sharp--yesterday dow was the weak one, you'd have expected it to be the best short target today
