#FuturesTrades September 27th Wednesday 2006 Trade Log
#FuturesTrades is a private and free realtime trading posting chat room on the IRC Othernet server that allows traders from all over the world to communicate.
Click here for the instructions on gaining access to #FuturesTrades.
In addition, trades posted by members of #FuturesTrades in the below trade post chat log are by traders that do not have access to TheStrategyLab.com strategies except for NihabaAshi.
Fee-based clients of TheStrategyLab.com strategies use the private IRC rooms called #TheStrategyLab and #SwingTradingTSL.
Further, you'll find below the chat room time stamped text log of realtime trades (real money and simulator) that were posted by full-time, part-time traders from around the world and the timestamp is eastern standard time (est).
Also, below NihabaAshi's trading blog like comments, you can read the time stamped trades (prices, entries, exits et cetera) and market discussions that sometimes contains trading tips or insights that are more useful than what you will see at any other futures blog or chat room.
Trading Blog Below is not your traditional trader's blog in the usual blog format. However, you will find informative commentary on a few occasions as time permits and such will contain trading tips that should help your trading as I attempt to sum up my thoughts as I traversed from the first trade to the last trade that was posted in #FuturesTrades realtime trade posting chat room.

Proper Eye Movement while Trading
I read somewhere (can't remember where) that our minds is more efficient at multitasking when our eye movements do the tasks via either left to right (right to left) in comparison to up to down (down to up).
I experimented today with up to down (down to up) and it was not efficient trading and there was a delay in my trade reversal reaction to volatility price action spikes on my charts...delays I normally do not have when analyzing what's on my monitors with eye movements left to right (right to left).
I'm also suggesting that our monitors (workspace) or our computer desk layout will have an impact on our trading results if such causes lag in your trade decisions.
If I sound ridiculous, try it...go ahead and change your workstation to a layout you do not like nor feel comfortable with.
Next...trade with your money on the line via that new workspace that's uncomfortable.
You'll understand the importance of what I'm saying and/or determine its a risk your unwilling to take especially with your hard earned money on the line as an experiment.
With that said...I received some sad news today (personal) and most likely will be take some personal time away from the market to be with relatives in another country.
Today's results (real money and simulator trading) shown above are that of NihabaAshi only. To see his total accumulated points for the month of September...click here. To see results for the months of 2006 and prior years...click here.
Commentary by M.A. Perry (a.k.a. NihabaAshi)
Note: Each month there are a few trading days that we consider to involve interconnecting key price action of different markets and such is represented by a particular type of price action from one of the key markets. You can view the charts and their clues that's associated with the key price action at our key market archives.

Therefore, waiting till the last few weeks March to prepare for April's taxes is not good for your trading and could put extra stress on your trading during tax month or the months that follow if your one of those traders that filed an extension.. Therefore, its best to be on top of your taxes throughout the year and Traders Accounting is a great resource for such especially if you want to prevent penalties or an audit several years from now. <szubaark> emini thats ES for ya.. lots of retail trading that Beast,Pros pick pocketing them 11:11 <eminitrader> true szu...we get lucky if on the same side <szubaark> ES has been faking my NQ trades lately..so im paying less attention to it. 11:12 <eminitrader> k..didn't observe that <les> got appointment ot attend, so c u all later on * les is now known as lesAway <eminitrader> actually u r right ES broke the lows while the NQ did nothing..not even a loer low...making sense 11:13 <NihabaAshi> Long ER2 @ 738.00 -> Add 11:14 <eminitrader> missed a long at the lows ES ..:(( <szubaark> YM is key here.. needs to take out high 11:15 <eminitrader> does the ym co-ordinate with the nq...in terms of moves <szubaark> YM with ES some days like today they'll be different.. thats why so choppy right now 11:16 <eminitrader> guess the key is to figure out which will lead today 11:17 <szubaark> Today ES causing the chop right now i think <eminitrader> vol is huge though ...looks the the ym will lead..with the ES to follow 11:18 <szubaark> 4 ticks up, 2 ticks down :)) 11:19 <NihabaAshi> Geeesh...it just cant stay above the 739 price area. 11:28 <szubaark> ES holding this up 11:31 <NihabaAshi> Exited all ER2 Long @ 738.90 --> + 0.90 and +0.10 11:32 <pat255> vn <NihabaAshi> I'm calling it a day...almost reached my profit goal for the day and will sit down to make a little more adjustments in my platform and chart setup on the new computer... 11:33 <pat255> k niha ...thks for your comments <NihabaAshi> Way too much eye movement (up to down) from charts to platform...costing me many ticks. <szubaark> weird.. as soon as Niha exited we popped 1 point on ER 11:35 Niha they were waiting on you :) 11:36 exit stop set NQ @ 1678 c'mon u slime break high 11:37 Exited all Long NQ at 1678.50 --> + 1.5 11:41 phew.. need a break * szubaark is now known as szubaark_away <X> #FuturesTrades Info -> Chat room for realtime trade posting by traders of Emini Futures (ER2, ES, NQ, YM), EuroFX Futures (EC), Eurex Derivatives (DAX, ESTX50), Euronext Futures (FTSE100, CAC40), Treasury Futures (ZF, ZN, ZB), NYMEX Futures (CL, NG, HO, QM) and Exchange Traded Funds (DIA, GLD, IWM, OIH, QQQQ, SPY) 11:42 <pat255> does someone know hot to het set stop for sell buy when u take an atnry on IB.. 11:58 <eminitrader> sprry pat ..TS here 11:59 <pat255> np emini ..thks <eminitrader> urw <NihabaAshi> I may not be hear on Friday or Monday...I just found out a close relative in Atlanta Georgia died yesterday. 12:14 I may have to fly to Europe and escort another relative (that's devasted) to Atlanta. 12:15 <GoodMood> which you a lot energy for that task ! 12:16 <NihabaAshi> I'll let the room know if I'm not going to be here. Mentally getting away from trading is much harder to do in comparison to physically getting away from trading when its time for some rest and relaxation. I don't always trade nor monitor the market from my home office. Sometimes I'll do such from one of my favorite nearby Wi-Fi hotspot or whenever I'm traveling via using this little Wi-Fi detection gadget I got from Think Geek that will show more than just the presence of any nearby signal and its signal strength. It has a 12-character LCD that provides information on signal availability and strength as well as essential network information, including SSID, security status and channel. When multiple networks are present the LCD me to scroll through information for each network.
We are proud to say that our chat room members are from the following geographical areas in the world:
