Profit/Loss Statement

Trading via WRB Analysis: The biggest price move of the trading day occurred between 0936am - 0938am as a big White WRB to help setup the reversal that produced a +28 point price movement downwards.

The most impressive aspect of the price drop was that it seemed very orderly as if everybody was in the same boat sort'uv speak.

Unfortunately, I was unable to trade most of it due to family distractions.

Yet, I was using the 1min, 2min and 3min chart at the time and would have gotten Short around 802.20 and held it down into the key WRB s/r zone of 784.00 - 770.30 with a large size position.

Further, the end to that price declined was signaled by another similar like reversal signal with a dynamic characteristic as a trend continuation signal (see Swing Trading Report) thanks to discount rate cut by FED chairman Bernanke and gang.

General Strategy Info: The above profit/loss info represents trades by M.A. Perry (a.k.a. NihabaAshi) only and all trades were posted in realtime as shown in the below chat log.

Although I'm not familiar with the trade methods used by most members of #FuturesTrades, I use a rule based (no subjectivity) methodology that involves WRB Analysis.

In fact, many of my trades or profit targets will occur within key WRB support/resistance zones because these price areas gives me a better understanding of key changes in supply demand.

Traditional pivot point analysis or traditional s/r levels are inadequate in understanding changes in supply/demand of the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 or any other trading instrument of today's markets in comparison to WRB Analysis.

WRB Analysis is also a key aspect in my use of intermarket analysis, market seasonal tendencies, volatility analysis and custom Japanese Candlestick patterns to complete my trading plan that results in consistent profits.

Further, position size management is a key aspect of my trading and I trade any where between 1 to 9 contracts per trade depending upon the volatility, pattern signal, seasonal tendencies or intuition.

All of my trades and commentary for today's market action (posted below) are via the user name NihabaAshi (Japanese Candlestick term) and I exclusively trade the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 futures even though I closely monitor other key markets in the world.

With that said, today's trade posting chat log is below and it contains all my trades that were posted in realtime along with the trades of other members of #FuturesTrades.

<NihabaAshi> Should have known with the range we've seen lately that a 10 point wiggle room is nothing :)

Anyways, I've greatly exceeded my profit goal for the day.09:57

Thus, I'm now in profit protection mode and will be trading 1-3 contracts for the remainder of the trading day.

Simply, small size only.

<ItalianSharp> wow niha...another "armed" robbery day for you so far10:08
<NihabaAshi> Yeah but could have been much bigger if it wasn't for some family distractions during the price drop from the intraday highs...10:09
The distractions cost me a Short position with a large size via keeping me in that 1 contract remaining Long position.
I told me spouse they cost me about 6k in profits 5k in additional profits.10:10
<pat255> N i know what are u talking about ..my wife same stuff10:11

crazy
<szubaark> Niha, super nice Scalping this am
<NihabaAshi> It's getting tougher now with the those "jumpy prices" returning back to the price action especially as the market attempts to find a "support area" to stage a counter-thrust.10:48
<szubaark> plus its Friday :)
they are slowly retracing that Rate Cut WRB at 8 am10:50
i remember one day i was Long and as soon as i exited my Long (after 3-4 seconds) there was a "surprised" rate cut around lunch time..HUGE SPIKE FROM HELL10:52
coulda, woulda, shoulda tripled my account on that trade :)))
<Brutus> least the fed has become more thoughtful :)10:53
<NihabaAshi> Too bad the FED didn't do the rate cut "after" 0930am est :)10:54
Those types of surprise rate cuts usually cause a much bigger price movement.10:55
Anybody know why they ONLY cut the "discount rate" ???10:58
<Brutus> low missed my long :( hopefully they will flush out the lows

see article in market watch Niha10:59

<szubaark> nice Long intowin
<intowin> got my wallet back at least
double my size on that one also..11:04
<Brutus> nice1 IT
<NihabaAshi> Ok...so the FED only cut the discount rate because they felt it would help the main area that was problematic (financial system) whereas the broader economy needed no help.11:05
Simply, the broader economy is still in trouble if the credit problems spread :(11:06
<szubaark> Niha u sound like a Economics preofessor

:(14:02
Oil trying very hard to stablize.14:03
It has a good chance but if it fails...I should be able to ride ER2 down further.
If it stabilize...I'll dump ER2 around 789.00
Covered 2/3 ER2 Short @ 788.90 --> + 0.9 14:05
Oil still trying hard not to fall on the slippery ice.14:07
