Today's
WRB Analysis: I'm on a no trading vacation from May 25th
Friday until June 2nd Saturday due to entertaining relatives that are
visiting me for their vacation.
Upon returning back from vacation,
I will update this webpage with the WRB Analysis for June 1st Friday.
Further, although I'm on a no
trading vacation, I am still recording #FuturesTrades chat room log and
responding to any email questions about resources of TheStrategyLab.com
Therefore, today's #FuturesTrades
trade posting and market commentary chat log is posted below to show what
occurred with the room members.
Note: I don't post charts
to reflect all the above commentary because I want you to open your own charts to correlate
with my comments so that familiarity will help ensure that the price action
being described by me is researched and that in itself will help you
understand a little more about the price action.
General Strategy Info: Currently, I'm exclusively trading the Russell 2000
Emini ER2 futures even though my
strategies are
applicable and profitable on all the trading instruments listed towards the
bottom of this webpage along with my
past trade
journals showing consistent profits in other trading instruments prior to
exclusively trading Emini Futures ER2.
In addition, I use a rule based (no subjectivity) methodology via my best strategies
involving WRB Analysis. However,
there are other key variables integrated with WRB Analysis that involves simple
concepts of intermarket analysis, market seasonal tendencies, volatility
analysis, support/resistance zones and position size management along with
custom Japanese Candlestick patterns to complete my trading plan that
results in consistent profits.
With that said, today's
trade posting chat log is below
and it contains all my trades that were posted in realtime along with the
trades of other members of #FuturesTrades. Also, I use the user name
NihabaAshi in the below trade posting chat log.

| <eminitrader> | Shorts ES @ 1539 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | you changed your bias to down EM? | 11:19 |
| or just trading it? |
| <eminitrader> | yes rd ...expecting gap fill on the ES | 11:20 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | tat in itself may mark a good trend change, for at least a couple /three days anyhow...a gap fill | 11:22 |
| <eminitrader> | maybe ...also it broke the lows set inially...only variable is globex low still holding ...so a less probability trade .. | 11:23 |
| but set-up is a set-up :) | 11:24 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | yes, I would qualify that by adding, if it closes gap and goes out on the / near lows...not just a gapfill and another rally into close, though even those cannnot occur forever :) | 11:25 |
| <eminitrader> | yep my thoghts too | 11:26 |

| * codehead_afk | is now known as codehead | 12:35 |
| <intowin> | silly question.. when do we start using the new contract dates for trading | 12:39 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | you can start thge first day it trades, although the spreads are wide, and volume is non-existent...over the past week, the vol has begun to increase, and the spreads are now within .20-.30 consistently thruout the day, though they are also at times wider, particularly in the afterhours | 12:43 |
| usually, approx a week and a day or so before the current expires, the new contract will begin to see the blk of volume transition | 12:44 |
| <intowin> | ty | 12:45 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | ubetcha |
| <Awash> | so next thursday June 7th, the ES September will be the front month? | 12:46 |
| <eminitrader> | second thursday of the expiry month ...ex: start trading U from June 14 | 12:47 |
| <Awash> | really, i haven't traded US in a while, always thought it expired on the third friday but the next contract became the front month a week and a day prior to expiration | 12:49 |
| <intowin> | nothing off the table their emini? I like it |
| <eminitrader> | no got out earlier holding 3 |
| target 1534 for this lot | 12:50 |
| kgot filled while typing :) |
| Covered Remainder ES Short @ 1534 --> + 5 |
| <intowin> | nice | 12:51 |
| <eminitrader> | thx |
| see u all mon ...have a good one |
| <intowin> | u2 |
| <Littman> | good price tu buy ES | 12:52 |

| <Awash> | yep |
| <RussellDaytrade> | thx JP |
| <jperl> | yw | 13:51 |
| <Awash> | Hey Jperl, do you have an excel spreadsheet prepared to analyze your trades? | 13:52 |
| for instance do you look at |
| # losers |
| # winners |
| # Breakeven | 13:53 |
| and then % Winners |
| % losers |
| <jperl> | no.....I don't do any of that |
| <Awash> | basically statistical data to help fine tune your trading |
| <jperl> | Haven't found it useful |
| <Awash> | really |
| okay, that's fair | 13:54 |
| anyone in here analyze their trades in excel? | 13:55 |
| anyone in here analyze their trades in excel? | 13:56 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | I have AW, posted some of that in a link to my journal in ET, still there if you wanna look...very useful, I found... |
| <werner> | no |
| <Awash> | what's your journal title |
| i'm creating a spread sheet and feel as if I"m reinventing the wheel | 13:57 |
| it's taking too much time |
| <RussellDaytrade> | but as I increased my activity levels, the trade data entry time became too time-consuming..how about you? |
| <Awash> | for now |
| i just plot my signals, # of times i execute them, # of winners, losers, breakevens, and %percentages of total | 13:58 |
| haven't thought about trade data entry time |
| <RussellDaytrade> | I would enjoy collaborating with someone that is knowledgable in api, to create a version that automatically pulls data from the broker feed, etc. |
| <Awash> | ditto, unfortunately, I don't have the experience nor knowledge on how to | 13:59 |
| my platform tracks some stastical data which is helpful | 14:00 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | you can look up on ET, do a search for Russelldaytrade, and scroll to some of my last posts in my jourbnal there, it msy give you some ideas, the formulas are active on that spreadsheet. |
| feel free to use it if you feel it can be of use. | 14:01 |
| <Awash> | thanks |
| your journal is named "ES Jouranl?" |
| <RussellDaytrade> | I forgot, don't post there very often | 14:02 |

| do you use MS Outlook |
| Is there a way to intergrate an Economic Calendar into your MS Outlook calendar? | 14:07 |

| <RussellDaytrade> | let me know your thoughts after you have a look, I still plan on utilizing some form of trade analysis in the future, just gotta address the automation of the trade data, so my time is best applied to evaluating the results...I also think I have a fair idea of the 'shape' of my trading... |
| <Awash> | okay | 14:08 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | and am currently involved in improving of the same, so I am utilizing my stats, even if I do not have al the data up-to-date, it's well-cataloged mentally, though I prefer detailed statistical reviews the best. | 14:09 |
| <Awash> | agree | 14:10 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | I do not use ms outlook calendar | 14:11 |
| <Awash> | So everytime you want to figure out the reports or ECON Data releases, you just pull up a web page? | 14:13 |
| <RussellDaytrade> | yes, or have them committed to memory, you can print out a months look-ahead, for ready reference | 14:16 |
