Profit/Loss Statement

Today's WRB Analysis: White WRBs that retrace a prior Dark WRB or penetrates deep into the Dark WRB within price pullbacks should catch any traders attention especially when the price action is coordinated with other key markets doing the same thing.

More important, this type of price action sets up what I call a key intermarket s/r zone for all key markets involved and this shouldn't be ignored unless your don't want to make any money in the near future if the current bullish price action breaks down.

As for my own trading, it's a little embarrassing to only make $240 dollars on a trading day that had a strong trend day to the upside in the afternoon. However, I do have a good excuse in that I went to lunch early to my favorite sushi restaurant as stated in the below #FuturesTrades chat log.

To add insult to injury, I called it quits for the trading day around 1326hrs (1:26pm est) just before the second big move to the upside.

Thus, it was one of those trading days where the bulls flexed their muscle and I didn't have tickets to the show.

Lets say I was here to trade all afternoon...where's the key WRB?

I do a lot of intermarket analysis and most likely would have been watching Oil and Gold charts.

Take a look at the Dark WRB @ 1:36pm est on the exchange traded fund Oil Service HOLDRs (OIH) 2min chart. That Dark WRB with volatility spike occurred after contracting volatility and should have any normal thinking trader that price will go lower.

Now take a look at 3 intervals later after the Dark WRB and you'll see a white line candlestick in Harami position on shrinking volatility.

The next key price action is the following interval that developed into a White WRB with volatility spike and penetrated deep into the prior key Dark WRB.

That's very bullish and now correlate that price action with other Oil, Gold and Emini futures or index charts to get your key intermarket s/r zone.

Note: I don't post charts because I want you to open your own charts to correlate my comments to your charts so that familiarity will help ensure that the price action being described by me is researched and that in itself will help you understand a little more about the price action.

General Strategy Info: Currently, I'm exclusively trading the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 futures even though my strategies are applicable and profitable on all the trading instruments listed towards the bottom of this webpage along with my past trade journals showing consistent profits in other trading instruments prior to exclusively trading Emini Futures ER2.

In addition, I use a rule based (no subjectivity) methodology via my best strategies involving WRB Analysis. However, there are other key variables integrated with WRB Analysis that involves simple concepts of intermarket analysis, market seasonal tendencies, volatility analysis, support/resistance zones and position size management along with custom Japanese Candlestick patterns to complete my trading plan that results in consistent profits.

With that said, today's trade posting chat log is below and it contains all my trades that were posted in realtime along with the trades of other members of #FuturesTrades. Also, I use the user name NihabaAshi in the below trade posting chat log.

<NihabaAshi> RussellDaytrade...congrats.09:37

What do you think was the turn around for you in your trading ?

Answer when you have time...thanks in advance.
<PapaJon> yes.. thats awesome RD09:38
<RussellDaytrade> yesterday, I had my best day of accurately forecasting price swings, trhe highest numbers of forecasts, along with the best percentage of them fulfilling, as I expected them too...

<RussellDaytrade> an altogether satisfying day... here are my trades and results for the past 2 days... they are double=linked for each day, (with some data overl;ap), as there are too numerous trades to fully fit on a screen capture09:40

<eminitrader>  Covered 1/3 ES Short @ 1520.75 --> + 1.5
<RussellDaytrade> I am finding that trading well is becoming increasing easier...just like taking money from the szucker(s)...while that in and of itself is no challenge whatsoever.09:44
<jperl> thanks for posting your P/L RD
<eminitrader> word of advice ...dont get COMPLACENT !!!!!!!!!!
<NihabaAshi> Thanks RD.09:45
<RussellDaytrade> np JP...likewise...I have documented all my trades, since the first of Jan, and am finding the more I do, in fact, the more I trade, the better it becomes....09:46
<NihabaAshi> RD...do you consider yourself a scalper ?
<RussellDaytrade> thanks all...thx EM, certainly am working on not becoming compalcent, in fact, my biggest wish is too have more time and resourcefulness to apply towards increasing my studies.09:47
<NihabaAshi> I mean...I know you hold trades for long periods but I was wondering what you consider to be your "main" or primary trading style.
* codehead_afk is now known as codehead09:48
<RussellDaytrade> I think the best answer to that is, my trades generally take the form of a 'scalping' of intraday swings...09:49
I guess a lot depends upon ones definition of scalping, I am increasingly trying to hold for larger slices of the intraday swings that I expect will unfold, as I see my setups, and also for larger multiday moves, but by far this is my biggest area of future improvement, that is, reamainig in trades for longerg09:51
<NihabaAshi> Looks like ER2 is going to fill the GAP
<eminitrader> same here RD :))
not very consistant at that09:52
unless it happens real fast ...which is not very often09:53
<RussellDaytrade> for example, this am, shorted that rise in the preopen at 818.9, and closed it at 817.4...too small a trade, and too little holding time, whiich are both typical characteristics...even a recognition of that helps to align ones thoughts toward specific areas of work to improve...the same characteristics exist for my in the inverse, in the case of longs, which is fairly eveident in examination of the past 2 days trades...09:55

which is also evident in the days and weeks and months just past...09:56

an aspect I am happy about, is, that even as I feel I am not trading at that well, I feel there is much room for improvements, and I have identified some of those areas, and am excited and enthusiastic about working to improve. :)...09:58
<jperl> THis mornings trades so far......09:59
http://charts.dacharts.com/2007-05-18/JP ERL_0110.png
<RussellDaytrade> back to the salt mines, though lately, it more like the gold mines!
<eminitrader> my experience is that - the key for holding for longer term potential is in identifying trades with high probability towards fulfilling that target...not all trades have potential to be home runs...so i dont believe in holding all of my trades beyond target 3..ex; i dont mind holding today cause of the probability of a gap fill .
