Russell 2000 Emini ER2 Futures

Trading Perspective

Profit/Loss Statement

The dark cloud over today's markets was China. There are increased worries they may reduce their demand for U.S. products along with worries that China strong (unexpected) strong GDP bundled with its need to reduce its demand for energy.

However, this is earnings season and the market should quickly get back to focusing on earnings instead of the China card.

Yet, the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 and other emini futures did manage to rally a little to fill in the down gap before closing lower than their intraday highs.

In fact, I think the rally that resulted in a gap fill is due to the market trying to refocus on earnings season

Anyways, I was able to exploit the China news and the bullish price actions after the open.

Key news of the day

Commentary by M.A. Perry (a.k.a. NihabaAshi)
intradaystrategies@yahoo.com

Note: I'm currently exclusively trading the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 futures even though my strategies are applicable and profitable on all the trading instruments listed towards the bottom of this webpage along with my past trade journals showing consistent profits in other trading instruments prior to exclusively trading ER2.

Further, I can switch and trade any trading instrument that's listed below at the bottom of this webpage for any trader that request such mainly because I do a lot of intermarket analysis while trading ER2.

However, if you want to see up-to-date pattern signals in other trading instruments...click here.

Lucky trade because it was a trade error.12:03
<Brutus> RD you going to enlighten us with your targets?12:06
<RussellDaytrade> B, anything for you...this am, off the low, I set an 825 target that coincided perfectly, to the minute, with that runup to 824.9... I also set a larger target of 827.05, which mostly fulfilled on that last drive...12:10
i think that 827 may be surpassed today, given more time...currently, I have an 822.8 with about 45 remaining, although since the mkt seems to be firming from underneath, am wondering if it will not quite fulfill...12:12
<Brutus> Nice, Yeah could be bullish all day. Note Friday is options Exp12:13

Traders Accounting

As traders we must treat our trading like a business if we are to succeed as traders and as a business. Therefore, waiting till the last few weeks March to prepare for April's taxes is not good for your trading and could put extra stress on your trading during tax month or the months that follow if your one of those traders that filed an extension.. Therefore, its best to be on top of your taxes throughout the year and Traders Accounting is a great resource for such especially if you want to prevent penalties or an audit several years from now.

the pattern this has traced out is hwat i think of as a 'sailfish' fin. :)
<Brutus> yeees ic :)14:36
<RussellDaytrade> it helps me to have a line underneath of it, as in a pricetime projection, that helps to define, seperate, and distinquish it from the other pa that preceeded it...was beginning to think it might take a 'final nosedive entry', but it looks like its firning up in here...14:40

more then anything, I just like the appearance of the structure, haven't tied it into my work, just like the way they look.14:41

actually, come tothink of it, I have tied it into my work, as it occurs at times when a price move accelerates into an expected price target, within the latter portion of the time cycle of that atrget14:45

I set an 820.26 target approx 2.5 hours ago...I don't think it's going to fulfill completely...time just expired on it14:49
<NihabaAshi> I think the worries about China's possible rate hikes will keep that s/r zone (resistance) intact and prevent new intraday highs.15:14
