Earnings Season

Profit/Loss Statement

This is earnings season and on trading days when there's no key economic report release nor any geopolitical events...earnings is what moves the markets (up or down).

Today, the earnings were positive as expected for many of the closely followed stocks.

Also, tomorrow we are back to focusing on the economy with two key economic reports at 0830am est Jobless Claims Report and 10am est Leading Indicators Report with the unimportant 1030am est Natural Gas Report.

However, what caught my eye today was the sudden drop in the U.S. Dollar that begin around 1:40pm est when the price action prior to that looked like it could may new intraday highs.

Simply, if you trade the CME EuroFX EC or Forex EurUsd...you better be prepared to trade these trading instruments because tomorrow will produce some very nice volatility and today's volatility spike was a big hint that some traders are already taking positions going into tomorrow's news.

As for my own trading of the Russell 2000 ER2 Emini, today I took it easy and I did some intuition trades with my last trade of the day via my actual strategies that produce some nice profits.

Note: I'm currently exclusively trading the Russell 2000 Emini ER2 futures even though my strategies are applicable and profitable on all the trading instruments listed towards the bottom of this webpage along with my past trade journals showing consistent profits in other trading instruments prior to exclusively trading ER2.
Further, I can switch and trade any trading instrument that's listed below at the bottom of this webpage for any trader that request such mainly because I do a lot of intermarket analysis while trading ER2.
