typical for me

i mostly traded stocks today and did well 16:15

i'm decent at top and bottom guess, and i think that's my problem--takes a while to turn, and i just get nervous after a bit

so i give up before it goes 16:16

<NihabaAshi> Yep...patience is key along with having confidence you can bounce back after a losing trade in which you had lots of patience. 16:17

plus, i have trouble jumping on a trend trade in the middle

like, i knew YM loss of 11360 meant it was going to drop another 20-30, but instead I waited to buy the bottom 16:18

and all my earlier trades were shorts

i gotta learn to go with trends on futs 16:19

the only really good days i've had trading futs was when i picked the ER bottom about 140 south of where it is now 16:20

it went pretty far against me, and i was so sure i'd just add more contracts

and scalp out of them on bounces and reload, till it reversed and i made a ton 16:22

i had no problem buying AAPL lows today and never fretted a bit while it fought it out--i just can't seem to have that patience on the futs 16:24

It's best to do such doing market hours to test all configurations with live realtime streaming data to ensure there's no problem when I return to normal trading.
